Hearing info about the 1000 was cool. The prices for the boat tours seems pretty affordable. There are washrooms onboard. Also, there was snacks and drinks have similar prices to concert and events food and drinks. For the 3 hour tour We took a morning tour. It was not very busy so there's a lot of space to move around. The most popular spot was the very front (bottom level). It's calm though it might be a little long for some. For the 5 hour tour: We took an afternoon/evening tour. Despite how busy it is, it was cool to visit and step foot on Boldt Island. Also, make sure you know which boat you were on as there will be multiple tour boats from other companies in the area. The Island and Castle were larger than I thought. The achitecture and interior were gorgeous and impressive. From what I remember, I think the gift shop accepts both currencies.

In particular, we wanted to go on the 2.5 Hour boat tour and loved the beauty, history and the locals enjoying the water too! The second portion was visiting the Famous Heart Island where George C. Boldt, millionaire proprietor of the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, set out to build a full size rhineland castle in Alexandria Bay, on picturesque Heart Island.  The grandiose structure was to be a display of his love for his wife, Louise. The structures on the island were amazing! I personally LOVE architecture and history so this was a fantastic experience! Had it been Pre-Covid times, we would have been able to disembark from the boat and explored the island, as the Americans were doing. But because it is technically on the American side of the St Lawrence River, and because of the pandemic, we could only admire it from afar. We can't wait for warmer weather so we can go back and visit!

While this port town will never be mistaken for its it more popular, more sunny, more reggaed, more Rastifaried, more spring-breaked Jamaican counterpart, it's definitely a gem worth visiting. Kingston is a UNESCO World Heritage Destination found on the convergence of Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River. One of its most popular activities is boating ... either staying on a house on the water or if a true tourist like myself, taking a ship through the Thousand Islands. While there are countless options, I have recommended in another review (https://urlzs.com/Swzxt) hopping aboard the Island Belle by "Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises" on their Discovery Cruise. Whether them, St. Lawrence Cruise Lines, Kingston Trolley, or other providers, I imagine it's hard to go wrong as the Islands are stunning. I recommend starting at the Kingston Visitor Information Centre (which I have also reviewed here: https://urlzs.com/DCcnD). They can get your visit on the right track (and can get you tickets to things like the cruises here. However, there's a lot to see right there by the Visitor Information Centre: City Hall across the street, Confederation Park and Fountain behind it, the BIG LETTERS for Kingston (with the "I" absent so people can stand there :), and the famed Canadian Pacific steam train, "Spirit of Sir John A." We came in on a Sunday. While I must warn that on Sunday some businesses are closed, there is still plenty to do. On our first visit to the big K on a Sunday, there was the Kingston Sunday Antique Market. Some cool stuff ... it's behind City Hall on King St, between Market & Brock streets (April - October, weather permitting). I recommend getting the "K-Pass", which includes that Kingston 1000 Islands Cruises as well as the Kingston Trolley Tour. Other sights and attractions are included, such as Fort Henry, SanTur Brewing, The Kingston Pen, Ahoy Bike Rentals, "The Haunted Walk" and a whole bunch of other things I can't remember. Don't forget there are several ways to get to Kingston, including VIA Rail that stops here on the way back and forth betwixt Montreal and Toronto. You really haven't seen Ontario until you've seen Kingston. I can't wait to return!

I do wonder how often it gets a scrub thought as sometimes I am there and it looks grubby. I also think it is a rip off that they charge the adults when you have to go in with your child. Although they do offer day camp during the summer for older kids but these kids don't really seem to be supervised as they are running around all over whacking each other play weapons. All in all I will take my son back as he does enjoy it.

I got a gift card for a tandem jump (you jump with someone experienced strapped to you) for my…read morebirthday. I'm really afraid of heights, but I've been wanting to try this to conquer my fear. Their website is really helpful and detailed. It tells you what to wear, what to expect, a step by step guide to what will happen, etc. I brought a ton of snacks, but I didn't eat any of them. It was still nice to have them though in case I had gotten hungry. When I arrived, i went to register. The receptionist was extremely friendly and answered all my questions. She told me that the first load is getting ready and I'm waiting for the second load, so I took a seat outside and watched everyone around me. The people there seemed like a super tight knit group. There were really cute dogs too :) After the first load jumped and landed, my coach, Glenn, came over to get me in my jumpsuit and harness. We were a bit late, so he gave me a 1min crash course on what's going to happen and he got on the plane. We were really cramped in the plane, but it was fine! We got to watch the ground get farther and farther away and we ended up way above the clouds (14000 feet). I put my goggled on, we got to the door, my coach reminded me of what I would have to do and we jumped! After about 5sec, he tapped my shoulder and I spread me arms. It was incredible! I completely understand why people get addicted to this! Tip: remember to breathe! I really had to focus to exhale, but then the inhale came naturally. When we got to cloud level, we opened the parachute, took the goggles off and slowly went down. My coach pointed out different sights and he got me to help him fly the parachute. The landing went well, my coach talked me through the whole process and before I knew it, it was over! I got my certificate of awesomeness and I was on my way! This is the cheapest place in the area and they offer to price match if you find a cheaper place! 10/10 would recommend this to anyone, old or young (18+). When I was free falling, it wasn't scary at all. It was simply exhilarating.

My friend and I did our first ever jump here. We were quite nervous, but the staff were confident,…read morecheerful, made lots of jokes, and didn't make fun of any of my stupid questions. We ended up having a great time...squatting down in the small doorway of the plane when you're about to jump is quite a terrifying moment, but my instructor Serge made me feel confident that we would make it back down to Earth. The freefall was incredible... almost a minute of flying towards the ground...difficult experience to explain but I loved every second of it. After the parachute deployed, floating down towards the ground made me a bit dizzy/motion sick but it was well worth it. I'm so glad I did it. They give you a cute certificate of awesomeness when you finish. We went from arriving on site to landing on the ground in less than an hour and a half, so we didn't need to eat any of the snacks we packed... too nervous to, anyway! But they had a water cooler on site, which was appreciated. They also have a vending machine, if you're desperate and didn't bring anything to munch on. They offer video packages for $90 or $120 extra. I think I would do it again someday. Definitely glad I went through with it, and I would recommend this place in a second. It's about a 3 hours drive from Toronto (without traffic), so if were to go again, I would probably opt to spend a night in Gananoque and explore the lovely scenery so I wouldn't have to do all that driving in one day.
