They were steering me ( no pun intended ) to the new S&B / One Up Off-Road kit that just hit the market. Got the spherical bearings replaced on the lower shock joints which went fine. They needed to do an alignment afterwards since they needed to take down the front suspension. My truck steering is not centered, it pulls to the right and I go up there to talk to them about it. They did not want to take responsibility for it and blamed my tires even though I did not have that issue before sending it to them. Nothing on my suspension was changed to cause a major change like that and they have no idea how to fix it and blamed my tires. Would be cautious to letting them do work on my vehicle again unless they fix the problem which they seem to think is not their fault. read more

Expressed the budget I was trying to stay under, and they worked up a quote to fit my need. Have brought my Jeep to them a few times, and I have never been disappointed. Once, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had my basset hound with me; the employees were super accommodating. The sales staff is friendly, and personable. Okay, let me start off by saying that I have no clue about truck lifts or anything. The only thing I know is my dad use to have his trucks lifted. Anyways, before I came here I went to a different place and they recommended spacers to be placed and said it would give me about a 1.5 lift and it cost about 2800. That place wasn't really keen on explaining to me the difference between and spacer and the lift...so I turned to a Facebook forum to get my answers. So I looked online again for a different place and found this one. I filled out a quote online and explained what I wanted. About two hours later I got a call and an email from Mike. I called and told him that I would be coming in. I was a bit intimidated by coming in because the last place they didn't really talk to me...they just talked to my husband even though it was my truck. But once I came into the store I met Mike. He was professional and friendly. He answered every question I had and explained every part that was going to be replaced. He explained what the parts that were being replaced do and how it would enhance my trucks performance and explained different lift kits. The store even had another Tacoma in there that he showed me what height they would lift it to. What other things I can add. He even showed me how the tires would look and the wheels. He made sure I got the right things for the type of driving my truck would be used for. I was happy. I got my truck scheduled the very next day. So fast forward to the next day, it was checked in at 0837 and was finished by 1535. When I arrived there I met Mike and he showed me the truck. She was beautiful! Then I met the mechanic who explained to me the parts he replaced again. They let you know to return in week to get all the screws tightened. I am overall happy with my experience here. He spent a lot of time looking for the right tire and wheel for 2015 High Country and made many phone calls trying to find out what was in stock and what my wait would be. Provided updates when we all were being delayed because of COVID issues. The day of install I was in and out in about 2 hours, considering they were pretty slammed and my scheduled appointment was squeezed into an already full schedule, 2 hours was good for me. Conversation with sales rep started out fine, and quickly went downhill. I asked for a quote for installing some bilstein adjustable front shocks in my suburban. Was given a quote to include the price of the shocks through ETA. I asked for another quote not including parts(I purchased them from a different online source for about $40 less per shock), and the sales rep said he wouldn't be able to help me, and they won't install parts no purchased at their store. The guys are intelligent but they are on their own program. They are gonna cram their products they have relationships with down your throat. They told me they couldn't install parts I bought myself so I had to pay an up-charge of over a grand to have it ordered through them (but they made an exception for my buddy after they told me no) And then icing on the cake, I asked them very nicely to not put their stickers all over my truck. I paid them $4800 and I would really appreciate they don't put stickers on my stuff. They said they would absolutely not and would never put stickers on nice icon shocks. Then low and behold, the first thing I see is their dumb stickers all over my truck. Own program. read more

I Purchased an in stock plain vanilla tube bumper for my jeep for $254 out the door. The only reason this is a 2 and not a 1 is the guy working there was patient and answered my questions. Anyway, it turned out the bumper would not fit like it was supposed to on my jeep. Likely due to some changes on my jeep and not the bumper. No prob, stuff happens. Bring it back on the 2nd day still in the box and the plastic wrap to get a refund. I am informed that "We ONLY do in store credit." I asked where the sign was and there is no sign. It is apparently in the small print on the paper they staple to your receipt. So you find out AFTER they get your money that you will never be seeing it again. I said surely this is to protect you from abusers and not everyone. I was informed it was for everyone. Even the perennial butt of the joke Wal-Mart gives refunds... So when asked if I wanted the credit I said "No I'll sell it on ebay/CL." I am thinking so I don't have to come back. This opens a new issue. I figure I better see what my $250 bumper sells for online so I can move it faster. Ya, turns out I can get the nearly identical thing @extremeterrain.com for $89 free shipping. Yup you read that right. 2.8 times more at Eastern. Now I expected it to be more expensive from a brick and mortar. But 280% more?!? I shopped around online to see what the price range was and the average was about $145. Usually, I am quick to hop on my phone and see what the online price is. I just didn't do it this time. Bottom line if you have the extra money to spend and don't mind a no refunds policy if something doesn't fit or whatever go ahead and buy there. But once you give them any money you will never get it back. Myself, I will not go back. I was recommended here from a friend after being turned away from a few different places. I needed some pretty extensive front end work on my lifted 06 Jeep and they did so much more than I expected. They had every part they needed on site, didn't give me unnecessary recommendations, had fair prices (and military discount on parts) and asked before they did any extra things they thought would benefit me. They had SO much knowledge on off road vehicles!!! And we're very good at explaining why each thing needed fixed. They even have a "death wobble" test to figure out your problem! (if you know you know..) not to mention I dropped my car off at 12 (with an appointment) and picked it up at 6 on the same day!! I was almost scared to drive on highways in fear of my wobble. And I honestly forgot what it's like to drive without worrying. I actually cried on the way home because I was so happy with the work they had done to fix my death trap back to my dream Jeep!!! Call them for a 6in lift a the guy quoted me 6k for it 5 for the lift an 1k for the labor then wheels an tires would have to be purchased all for about 10k. I went online an purchased the same lift kit for 2k an got my rims an tires on line for another 3,500. Total 5500 now add the labor for 1k that would be 6500 for every thing. So I called an asked how much to install everything for me I have all my parts was told " we don't install customer supplied parts" Thats because they upsell anything you get from them lots of people like there work but im not in the buisness of paying extra for things that I know cost less. Amazing company. I purchased my lift, rims, and tires from them several months ago and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! About a month after I had everything installed I was involved in a car accident where I was hit right on my passenger front fender. They went over everything and made sure it was all squared away and realigned the truck as well. I had an issue and brought it back and they took care of it immediately. A couple weeks ago a creaking sound was coming from under my truck and I finally had time to take it to them and they found it wasn't the suspension but the new aftermarket bumper another company installed. They not only tightened it but they did it without charge. They are truly a stand up group of people that make sure to keep their customers happy. Not very honest people. Try to upsell you things you don't need or want. Poor with communication. Seems like they have a following in the area. If you are a hardcore jeep upgrader or someone who wants the absolute top of the line and don't care about paying way too much for things, these guys might be your best bet. But for most people, they charge too much and are not friendly. Try elsewhere. Even if you do business with them, I'd advise you to get a second quote or opinion from somewhere else first. I stopped into eastern off-road looking for a grille insert for my Tacoma. The rep at eastern looked through some catalogues but we never found any that I liked so I asked about a lift kit and wheels. They had a special running in a 3" kit. I wanted a bigger lift so I asked about a 6" they had a kit in stock and quoted a price that was reasonable. I ordered a set of wheels and tires at the same time. The rep was very knowledgeable on what off set would look best and what tire size would fit properly with the lift I had chosen. After some thought and after I was shown several photos and had all options explained to me I made the deal. The wheels and tires took a couple days to arrive and when they did they called me to bring my truck down to have it all installed. They had the truck all day and when I arrived it looked absolutely perfect. The wheels fit perfectly along with the tires. The installation was perfect and driving the truck down the road after all of the modifications still drove perfectly. After 500 miles they had me come back in for a re-torque of all the hardware on the lift and looked everything over. I was very impressed at their professionalism and the perfect job that was done by them. I'm sure I could have went to another shop and paid less but for the quality and cleanliness of the job they did I'm glad I didn't. Eastern is awesome! read more

i reached out to these gentlemen seeing if they could help me with a dying mans wish to finish a build i had started last year on my nephews truck i talked with the sales manger i explained what i am putting on this page he advised me he would have to talk to the team and his boss he promised to call me back that afternoon last month. that never happened so there arent any haters i was advised in april of this year i am dying of lymphoma and lung cancer i was so devaststed i dropped to my knees in shock. so i went on hospice so i can pass at home. i explained to these gents i had purchased a rough country 4 inch lift from rough country because i know the vp and owner. i explained my nephew was a veteran disabled served in the gulf war and works at naval station norfolk. i just wanted to see if they could install the lift for x-mass but before they i assume believe in money over a dying man wanting to help his family before i pass which if i make it to see the ball drop then i have done okay. i am 62 i remeber when people cared helped someone not crap on them. i tried emailing the owner he blocked my emails i tried to call back they saw my number never called back. i am sure there are other people who have heart empathy these gents dont. i do forgive you for not helping me. scott kurz. read more

Would not recommend. Seems like this place does most of the 4x4 work in the Virginia Beach area, but customer service and service after the sale is garbage. Dealt with Chad in sales. Not only did he not get me the correct part I asked for, but he picked a more expensive part and already began installation and drilling holes in my grill before I was notified by someone else in installation. He then tried to blame me for the mistake saying that's really what I wanted. Since it was already at the point of no return with holes already being drilled, he tried to tell me he liked it better and he was just going to go ahead and finish the install. Told me he would work on a resolution to the issue but never called back or addressed anything. He also amended my bill to state that I didn't qualify for the military discount which was part of his sales pitch, since I already was included in a different "special". This place will take your money then treat you poorly. To their credit, the other sales members and even the mechanics in the back were good decent guys, it was just Chad in sales who left a bad taste about this place. The mechanics did a good job, they just installed what was put in front of them. Do yourself a favor a go to a cheaper, more personable local shop. One that will actually pay attention to what you want and not just take your money and charge you for parts they want, then modify your bill later and adjust it in their favor. Zero customer service and no service after the sale. Maybe it's the volume of work they do, but you're little more than a number or money to them. read more
