Originally that's all I asked for was just a regular Money and Patty. The girl asked me if I would like long lasting nail polish. I said I do not want no Chip I do not want dip. She said no it's regular polish. She just lost a little longer OK of course I do.. at no point did she tell me that that manicure now is gonna cost you $95!!!! The polish she was referring to is called razzle is a regular polish cost $22 for the whole bottle apparently last longer than regular polish but alas, it does not that's why it's been out for 10 years and nobody knows about it but it clearly is a way for this Nail Garten to take advantage of good people. At this point, they must think…read moreI'm a masochist, because every visit involves some kind of pain--either clipping into my skin instead of my nails or filing them down to what feels like bare flesh. And honestly, maybe they're right, because I kept going back hoping the next visit would be better. Today was my last straw. The technician clipped me twice with the nail clippers--hard enough that I yelped and had to tell her to stop and just trim and file, not perform surgery. I always ask for a shiny buff on my natural nails (the kind that looks glossy without polish--like they do at Nails So Happy at Per Park). I asked for this repeatedly today, even through a translator. Despite that, my nails are dull and look like they were aggressively sanded. Difficulty with English is generally a problem at nail salons, but this staff is impossible to communicate with. I truly don't understand how this place stays in business other than the fact that they do have a nicely designed interior, but that's enough to keep me as a customer. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who values consistency or basic comfort.

The owner even scolded me about texting me when I was oversees trying to book it. After we mentioned it was a little hard to find the place, she scolded me and said she had texted me about the location. She was cold and mean. This is NOT an upscale spa. We had to put our personal items in this very rough wire bin with no handles and tote it from room to room. The large holes in the wire box made all the items spill out. Super tacky. We should have been able to place our items in a locker with a personal key and climbed right into full length fluffy robes and slippers. Nope! My masseuse was NOT good. During the treatment she mentioned she was going through menopause so she liked the room to be cold. Oh that's right, she is the one who needs to comfortable and I have to pay for her comfort!!! I I asked repeatedly for firm pressure but she said she was tired. I hated being on my stomach but she didn't listen or care. She was nuts because during the entire procedure her favorite thing to do was to keep me on my stomach and repetitively use the same motions with lots of more oil. I told her from the beginning that I loved the hands, feet, and head more than anything. She didn't do that either. She left many areas untouched. I actually hated the massage and could only think of one thing... I cannot wait for this to be over. It was just like going to the dentist. We switched rooms, and I had my facial. That was bad too. I was embarrassed and mortified because I knew my daughter in law was getting the same treatment. I was even more mortified when she told me afterwards: "thank you but don't ever come here again!!!" . The owner tagged on a 20% tip, which I never approved, and then made fun of me because I questioned it. (By the way, two weeks earlier, my husband got me an hour massage, and it was half the cost at a five-star resort, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The room temperature was wonderful, she slowly started working on me, and listened to everything that I told her. She did not have rough hands, allowed me to choose the amount of tip that I wanted to add on to my service, offered me a robe and slippers when I walked in before the treatment, gave me a choice of scent I wanted to have, and if I wanted lotion or oil. The masseuse gently tied my hair up so it wasn't in the way, and none of the lotion got in my hair. It was so amazing that I fell asleep through the whole thing. Before we started, I told her I hated being on my stomach, and not only did she listen, she got a special body pillow that was built for women who have had cancer and/or were pregnant. It was the most comfortable thing I have ever laid on. Here is the last kicker: both my future daughter-in-law and I feel worse today, the day after, than we did before we went to this place. Our upper backs, in the exact same area, are sore and feel bruised to the touch. The website doesn't say it but you have a mandatory 20% tip tacked on so beware. I'd stay away from going to Spa Baliage. UPDATE FROM THE OWNER: NO RESPONSE. DO NOT GO HERE AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW. This $815 wasted experience did not help my new relationship with my daughter-in-law.
