We have ordered from here tons of times . It's our neighborhood pizza go to place but the last few times have been less than great . Today we ordered a panzerotti , which that was very good and almost worth the $19 . A medium pizza with extra cheese , they are SUPER skimpy on their cheese so we always have to order extra to get a normal amount . This time , not only was our pizza tilted , it had less than a normal amount of cheese !!! So paid for cheese I didn't even get ! Then there was the most disgusting sad cannolis I've ever had . They were soft , tasted frozen , old, and store bought , and that's being nice. Not even kidding the taste is still in our mouths !! We ordered two of them, took one bite each, and threw them away. We did call about our disappointing meal , they credited us the cannolis and verified YES they are frozen . She was going to talk to the manager and get back to us about the pizza . $60 for the food we received was ridiculous . Better off getting the $7.99 special from Dominos instead of dropping crazy money for this food ! BTW ... they never called us !!! read more

I'm a fan of Grand Stand. I was introduced to this place by my wife and her family as it is a legendary pizza in the Franklin Park area. A very good thin crust pizza. Pepperoni and jalapeño are a staple in our household. Hits the spot and is always hot and fresh, with a delicious cheese and nice sauce. A good reheatable pizza for leftovers as well. Solid fries, and we always get the breaded zucchini. Service is good, from the people at the front doing orders and pickups as well as the quick and friendly delivery drivers. Flew in for a quick trip to watch our son's Naval graduation and wanted to get our first slice of Chicago pizza. The lady at the car rental suggested Grand Stand. She hit the mark. Best thin crust pizza in the burbs! The slices are double dough and pretty good, but you gotta order a thin pie to see what everyone is talking about. Family-owned, and I've been eating here for over 20 years. Counter service is quick and friendly. Gives an Italian bistro vibe. Small and clean. John, the owner, is very friendly and happy to shoot the breeze, if it's not too busy. The chicken wraps are also excellent, and the fries are fresh-cut and delicious! Great Polish sausage too. Grand Stand Pizza became an option for me due to it being open late, and because of it having the Grubhub ordering option. Via Yelp, I ended up ordering a slice of cheese pizza along with a cannoli for takeout. The price, and the fact that I have never had a cannoli before made it acceptable for me to order once I encountered it on the menu. Ordering via Yelp was very convenient because by the time I arrived at the restaurant, my order was waiting on me behind the counter. I have to agree with Liz Truss (Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom) who quoted: "I have to admit I don't like pizza. I love it. And I am prepared to do literally anything to get my hands on a slice.". Looks were deceiving with the cannoli I ordered to the point where I did not want to share a picture of it because it did not appear appealing, but it ended up being delicious! And as for the slices of cheese pizza ordered, there were no disappointments. I was satisfied with the visual appeal of both slices of pizza along with their taste. All in all, I had a pleasant ordering experience with Grand Stand Pizza. Wanted to get a quick slice on the way home and stopped in Grand Stand for the 1st time. 2 Slices for about $9 with tax. When I opened it up I was shocked how small it was. If you want a nice thin crust pizza, make your way to Grand Stand in Franklin Park! Their crust is thin and the sauce is perfect. The food at this spot is pretty good for what you are paying , the reason why Took two stars away is because of the hospitality. We ordered ahead and due to covid we are to wait in the car for our order. I understand the wait may be longer so at first I did not mind. After about 40 minutes of waiting for just one pasta and seeing about 6 cars Park and leave with multiple pizza orders we asked about our order and were rudely responded . They obviously forgot about our order since it does not take longer to make than various pizzas . We waited yet another 30 minutes and heard no apology from anyone . This is now the 6th time in a row my food has come wrong. I always order gnocchi with garlic and oil. I'm allergic to tomato I explain this every time. I was told it would be noted in my account. Grandstand used to do it correctly and it was delicious. Now I get undercooked gnocchi with tomato. The last time I was promised it would never happen again. I've been going once a week for month and the customer service has always been nice. A couple of my pizzas have been either burnt or greasy and I haven't complained because I can understand every pizza will not be perfect. I usually get half sausage half cheese or half sausage half jalapeno and the portions have always been reasonable. Today the half with jalapeños seemed to have been just dumped on top and piled on, I wish I had taken a picture of it! Initially, I wasn't upset just unpleasantly surprised because I've never gotten it like that but I couldn't eat it, so I took it back. The younger dark haired female with glasses that takes orders was very combative with me from start of conversation. She told me that's how it's always made, which I disagreed with, said I should've said I wanted less jalapeños and that I had to talk to the cook about it. While I was waiting for my 2nd pizza I heard her talking about me to her coworker. When her coworker was passing me my 2nd pizza, the dark haired female with glasses called out to her coworker asking have I left yet. I told her coworker I don't appreciate how she handled me it was just a lot of jalapeños for me and that I come in every week. Her coworker was and is always nice but that interaction just from customer service standpoint was ridiculous, unnecessary and inappropriate. On Tuesday, February 6 I ordered an order of meatballs and garlic bread to go with my spaghetti that I was making I called at 5:05 PM and I was told that my order would be there within the hour. At 6:06 PM I called them back and I was told that the order was just now being placed and it should be there within the hour again. Well, I was not happy with this. I canceled my order I left a not so nice review. This morning, Wednesday, February 7 the owner John calls me, and offering to make amends for his workers. I accepted his apology. I accepted his gratitude and will be once again frequenting Grandstand Pizza. They make good food and they normally not like that but my spaghetti was getting cold and I was mad. No stars!! Horrible customer service!!! Why are you going to advertise a 10% discount for new customers if you're not going to honor it? Then when I call the restaurant for help because 1. The promo code for said discount is not even listed on their website where they're advertising this discount! 2. The "FIRSTTIMER" (all caps, no spaces) code would not work!!! ..the snippy smart mouth cashier gives me attitude saying "well I dont know what to tell you. Great place I love around the corner and eat here all the time. Grand stand is great I first found it when I was craving a real authentic pizza not a fast food pizza. I honestly did not have high hopes being so close to Chicago many pizzas seem like they were manufactured on an assembly line but I was very pleasantly surprised it felt and tasted like a real old style pizzas I'd see on TV. It became my go to and the service has always been quick and pleasant. I'm very disappointed with yelp I felt compelled to write this review as it's obvious a competitor went out of their way to review Bomb this place. There is an obvious review by a competitor, I know this because I live here and know that the competitor the review mentions by name is almost right across the street. After talking bad about this place with no real concrete complaints the review out of the blue just says "Nick and Bruno's is delicious" (the competitor) so a terrible review just happens to mention a nearby competitor for seemingly no reason. I told yelp but they are not the most ethical(watch this get my review taken down) grand stand is great and it's so unfair an obvious competitor was allowed to put a review up on them its a blatant conflict of interest. First timer here! Delivery took 1 hour 10 minutes. (I live 5 minutes away in River grove) By the time it got here, the pizza was luke warm, on the cold side, I had to reheat it in the oven to get it hot. I ordered a small thin crust pizza, and large italian ice. The driver didn't bring the italian ice, he said the machine is broken and won't be fixed for a few weeks. Bummer :/ Overall the pizza was okay. Not the best i've had in the area, but not terrible. It didn't have much flavor except the italian seasoning they sprinkle on top. But thanks for whoever ordered from Grand Stand Pizza at our work place, I found my favorite pizza: Margarita pizza. A thin-crust pizza was a bit burnt on the edge with cheese and the only topping - Basil leaves. Crunchy and refreshing. It was just a perfect mix for me. And I was not the only one loving it. The Margarita pizza was gone first even before the Pepperoni and Sausage ones. Their salad came with lots of mushroom and black olives. I like them too. Who knew you could put Basil on the pizza and it tastes this good? Such a great idea. Now, I should just call around the pizza places near my house and ask for Margarita pizza. read more

Pretty good pizza. Decent cannoli and a large menu selection. I had to wait longer than I thought necessary for my 1 slice of 'roni. I'd come back to sample their veal parm and garlic bread, though. Protip: checking in on Yelp will net you a free, small Italian Ice! Hopefully you like lemon (and a lot of it), because it's the only flavor they have, and a "small" is actually pretty large.
