A craving for pizza after completing Bank of America Chicago 13.1 led me to looking up pizza restaurants I had not eaten at before. I discovered Anthony B's Pizza & Pasta listed #15 after searching pizza options via yelp within a radius of the Maywood area. Once I noted that it was the closest to me, plus offered the online ordering option it was then I considered, chose and made my way to this restaurant. Since I had no interest in ordering a large pizza, I ended up selecting the 10'' build your own pizza regular crust, with spinach as my topping which was only 0.75 cents extra. It made my day to see that the restaurant had RC Cola on its menu as one of the soda options which I absolutely love. Ordering online allowed me to pick up my order and go, then conduct additional errands in the area. By the time I arrived at Anthony B's my order was waiting for me behind the counter. I was well on my way after verifying that I was picking up an order, and my name. While waiting for the employee to grab my order, I adored the display of Elmo holding a pizza at the register which I thought was very cute! Grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again is very high. As for my order, I would be lying if I said the regular crust pizza with spinach was not good because I was very satisfied with the taste of it. I enjoyed each square cut piece, devouring them all very quickly. I am glad that I considered Anthony B's because I would not have had the opportunity to taste the goodness of their pizza. I am well open to ordering from Anthony B's Pizza & Pasta again if in the area as the time goes on. And as yelp recommended it to me for pizza, I share my endorsement of it as well with you all. Anthony B's seemed very promising from the great reviews it has received. I ordered an 18" plain cheese and an 18" sausage pie. The storefront had hope too; just a counter with pizza menus on the wall and an aroma that was reminiscent of some good pizza. The folks running the place were very nice. I got the 2 pies (over $50 with tax for 2 18" pies is pricey) home, opened the box, looked at the pizza, and anticipated greatness. It looked fabulous and smelled even better. I was even able to overlook the wonkie "Chicago cut" of the pie, which in my opinion is a sacrilege to pizza and should only be used for children's birthday parties. I took a corner of the pie and tried folding it a little. it snapped like a cracker. WTF? I looked at the bottom of the pie. I couldn't believe that the crust was some indescript, tasteless, machine pressed, cracker-like crisp. Yeah, it WAS thin but it wasn't pizza-like. The crust was some kind of bread product that turned into a cracker very much like Domino's Brooklyn pizza. Awful. And I'm from Brooklyn and we don't have ANY cracker like thin pizzas, even in. the worst pizzerias. But, I must say, Anthony B's cheese was the right taste, snap and consistency. The pizza sauce was very good. The sausage was amongst the best I ever had on pizza and plentiful. However, the ratio of cheese to sauce was a bit off, no magic occurred when these babies got baked. I went in today on 7/2/2024 and ordered a slice of sausage pizza, cheese fries, and a can soda for exactly $7. The slice and fries take a few minutes to heat up, but nothing crazy. The slice comes out nice and hot, in a paper plate, wrapped in a to-go paper bag. Same with the fries. Now, keep in mind that these fries are thin cut, so think of an in-between Steal-n-Shake fries and McDonald's fries. They come in a styrofoam little container with a plastic fork. Very delicious with the pizza slice and drink. Considering that there are fewer places offering food deals for less than $10, I think this is a steal! The slice is a good size with a good amount of sausage and cheese. Not too think and not too doughy. Overall, a solid 4 out of 5 for Melrose Park! Support if you can! read more

My first time ordering here only because I saw they had some good reviews and it was less than 5 mins from my place. I will never go back. I ordered half sausage w/bell pepper and the other chicken w/giardinara. They made the whole 18 inch pizza chicken and giardinara on top of that the pizza looked and tasted over cooked. Was dry as hell. I ordered a chicken salad that look like it came out a package from the grocery store and the chicken barely looked cooked and tasted like some fake GMO meat ( TERRIBLE) I also ordered Buffalo wings w the bone in and they were dry and looked like they were sitting in grease for awhile or just made from the previous day. Definitely a terrible experience and won't be going back. read more

I've lived In Melrose all my life, I never knew about this joint. So I'm a big guy, fuck this new year new me shit...I wanted pizza. I ask my brother, where do you get pie around here. He throws out a couple places, I was like so where do I go? "Anthony B's is good, go." It's my little brother, I trust him I order by phone and go pick it up, I detect a Chicago accent on a big fellow. He greets me and I reply I ordered, after Brief exchange my fat ass notices they got wings. I wanna try em out. As I look up, god gives me a sign and it says text "Anthony" to 887# and get free wings. I get so excited I'm like "hey do I get them free?" He goes "get the fuck outta here" lol I'm dying of laughter at this point I would pay for wings and a tip even though I went to pick it up. Anthony B's will always be my favourite pizza. Something about your first non-chain always being your true love? The thin crust is perfect and crisp. There's something about their sauce; you just can't find a sauce that good anywhere else. You get a free liter of RC with every pizza, as well as a ticket to collect (25 tickets gets you a free pizza). Now, if you actually collect and redeem the tickets, that's great! My family has been collecting these tix for 15 years now, and think we actually redeemed them all of once. They've also got great sides including cheddar jalapeno poppers and mozzarella cheese stix. Keep in mind, this is take out or delivery only. There are a few old chairs, but that's just to sit and wait for your take out. Don't expect to eat there. They do deliver to most of the surrounding burbs. read more

Pretty solid pie, nothing remarkable or out of this world, but good. Reviewers are right, it's very good thing crust. Toppings are tasty, and they also offer just hot giardinera as a topping, which is nice for you hot pepper fans. Plus that free liter of RC Cola...which I actually like. We ordered a couple large pies and some fried zucchini (which was also good) and the bill was still very reasonable, so it's definitely got that going for it. I do not like Dominos Pizza or Papa John's. I hate Anthony's pizza. I knew I was in trouble when the pizza crust looked underdone. It was white. I'm not sure how they make the pizza crust but it tastes like a cracker. So you say "why did you give two stars?" The pop was good, there was plenty of meat, and they offer slices so I didn't have to waste money on a whole pie. read more

My all time favorite pizza place. I grew up eating this pizza, and I've recommended it to everyone I know ever since. The thin crust is to die for, baked with just the right amount of toasty-ness and with an excellent balance between the cheese and sauce. And if you're looking for a quick bite, they sell big slices on the cheap. Their sides are also pretty good. Love the mozzarella sticks, and their pasta and Italian beef are very tarty. My favorite is to buy a slice with a can of pop and a side of cheese fries. It's $5 straight, and is a way more satisfying meal than you'd be able to get from any fast food place for that price. Honestly one of the most underrated pizza places in the suburbs. I've never brought someone here who did not enjoy the pie. read more

Worst service and food wasn't any better. I order a cheese pizza for my daughter and me, it was digusting. Nasty pizza crust and super greasy. After she was finished she complained of a stomach after eating only 4 small square slices. On top of the pizza being unedible, I order the hot wings. The hot wings came burnt and with no sauce on them at all. Like, not even a side of sauce. I'm kind of amazed this restaurant is still in business. It's upsetting when you are trying to take a break from cooking and treat your kids to their favorite, pizza, and it's ruined by a pizza resturants that can't get it right. I used to live in Berkeley, IL and I would drive to go pick pizza up from here because it was so good......then I moved away. Well I recently moved to Broadview, IL and I did remember this pizza place because it was always one of my favorites but it is still kind of far for me to visit. So, I was so surprised to see that they were on DoorDash and I ordered and this pizza and is as delicious as I remember. From the toppings to the crust.
