I love this purse and didn't watch to scrap it, so I was desperate to see if someone could fix it. Here getting my purse fixed and properly was super easy! Prices were reasonable and the timeline for turnaround was quick. The father and daughter duo had my purse fixed and back to me good as new in no time! The owner told me that my bag wasn't real leather. Which shocked me, but I trust him. And I appreciated the honesty. Still love the bag. But glad to know it's not made of leather. The second time I came in l had shoes that didn't feel like the soft genuine leather they claimed to be. So since l actually had to review these shoes, l knew exactly who would know best! He said they were definitely genuine and that they were pig skin. Hence why they were rougher. I had no idea that was even a thing. I appreciate his honesty and frankness. I will always highly recommend this shop and l know the owner said about a year ago he was looking to retire. I hope (selfishly) that he never does. I stumbled across La Plaza Shoe Repair while my husband attended a 2-day conference across the street at Hotel ZOSO. "Dr. Mike Shoe" did an absolutely beautiful job on my purse. He matched the color perfectly. The purse may look black in the photo, but it is a dark steel blue up close. I love the color, and now my purse looks new again. The scratch marks are completely gone. The brass shines. I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of his work! Since we were leaving the next day, he completed the work the same day. I cannot believe my luck. Thank you Mike!
