This is a cute little gift shop. They have a large selection of stones and crystals. There were locally made gifts and things were not too expensive. The people that waited on us. I'm not sure if they were the owners or not but they were very friendly and knowledgeable about the different stones. read more

Went in here a week after my father passed and the older lady working wouldn't even acknowledge mine and my mother's presence in building that is 20 x 20'. It was extremely uncomfortable to say the least. Only when I said they didn't have what I was looking for she acknowledged us to ask what we were looking for, and proceeded to tell me she did not have it. This is such a cute store, and the woman that helped me was so nice and helpful. I wish I got her name. I wanted a lapis pendant and she found a lapis rock and then put it in a cage. So it's great for the time being, but I might have the lapis done differently by a jeweler. I also bought something for my grandson because he started collecting rocks and it had like a little story behind it, that was kind of scientific. I will hang onto it for his Christmas present, that is one of them. Everything was extremely reasonable price wise and I know some of my girlfriends would love it because they love crystals. read more

I went in to get a gift. The ladies were so accommodating and kind. They helped me pick out some very pretty earrings for my longtime friend and they were wrapped and ready for giving! Nice shop overall. They have a hand sanitizer bottle right when you come in. Love that. They have a pretty large selection of crystals, handmade soaps, candles, a few books, and jewelry. I like this little shop. It's just a 10 minute walk from my house. It has lots of lovely crystals, jewelry, art, singing bowls, fragrances. Sometimes I just go in to feel the vibe. Would love to just sit and meditate like you can at love of Ganesha in SF. Alas it is a little store so I just go in there and buy some cute things for myself and others. I find the checkout people really kind and generally make nice conversation. I really appreciate that even though you need to mask and sanitize, there is not a sense of fear like in many Bay Area places about COVID, instead I feel welcomed and relaxed. read more

When I dropped by Stone's Throw, the Camp Fire was raging&smoke filled the streets. Luckily, Stone's Throw offered a clean, peaceful refuge smelling of incense smoke instead. The owner was very friendly, and considering how such stores can be pricey, she has reasonable prices. There's medicinal cacao, incense, crystals, you name it. The owner wasn't pushy at all; in fact, I'd gladly return to Cotati. One wonders if the folks who run Stone's Throw&the upstairs Songbird Healing Center listen to the show Stone's Throw with Jennifer Stone- http://kpfawomensmag.blogspot.com/2015/03/international-womens-day-special-women.html Google Street View makes Cotati's downtown hexagon look bigger than it really is. I am a huge fan of this store and go in once a week at least. Today I went in and a red haired lady working the store wasn't even wearing a mask and when she ended up putting one on it was literally mesh. I have to say this was really disappointing to me. We stopped in here on an evening stroll Saturday night. Actually, we were looking in the windows wondering if we should go in when the kind employee at the counter invited us in! She explained how the goods were all from local artists, except for the stones "which come from the Earth" and the skulls which are made in Mexico by a good friend of the local artist. The four of us chatted with her about wire wrapping, crystals, and she also explained some of the bowls to my sister. Super helpful! A sweet smelling store with a good collection of things - crystals, crafts, some really cool accessories, pottery, and more. They had some pretty crystals. Some overpriced and some fair. Some neat local artwork, aromatherapy, candles, and a surprisingly good but overpriced tarot card selection. However, I didn't feel very welcome when after spending around $100 they wouldn't let me use their restroom and suggested I walk in to either a burger place or a cafe across the street. It doesn't really make me feel welcome or want to spend money at a place that won't let me pee. read more

I gave this place a second chance, but again was very disappointed. I was beginning to think it was me, or my teenage kids, we all love crystals, sage, and the kind of stuff the store carries, including art. It was a weekend for sure, the lady inside wasn't in sight, and when she did appear, she actually started mugging us I felt as if I was in back junior high! Beautiful and affordable crystals... too bad the girl at the counter had ZERO INTEREST in customer service, or facial expression, or having a pulse. I had wanted to spend a great deal there on Christmas gifts, but after she stared me down without smiling or even saying hello, I was so uncomfortable, I left. Her face looked like I had just walked into her home uninvited...the kind of look she would give a creepy person at a bus stop late at night. Shocking, really.
