Took 2 visits, and what could have been a costly endeavor was finally solved after much contemplation and discussion. We decided to cut open the kitchen floor to get to the drain pump. Thank goodness the problem was a clogged drain pump, easily cleaned and put back. Vinny figured out how to put floor back together with support of 2z4s, so the cut out floor piece could be put back in place and is not very noticeable, and leaves access to the pump in case I have another problem with it down the line. I found his pricing very fair and he was very knowledgeable regarding plumbing in general. He will be my forever plumber from now on.

They took down some crowns and severely threatening trees, mulched the branches, cut the burn ales into 18" logs and were great about clean-up. This year I've had to put more money in my house than I have in the 7 prior years put together…read morecombined. I had a bat issue in my attic that needed attending to, and based on my neighbor's recommendation, I gave Sweeney's a call. While they were here I inquired about how much it would cost to pest proof the trim of my house, if you live in the city of Cortland, you likely know how many woodchucks and skunks there are digging under things. The quote I got was more than reasonable. So much so that I asked a few times if they were sure. I went with the quote because of this. Having never used Sweeney's before, I though this was a low ball and they'd try to push up the price, but I figured if they were starting that low, then I would still be happy with where we ended up. I was wrong. When they came out to do the work it was clear I had been under quoted, the owner was here, asked me about how the quote went down, and I explained things, and I was expecting some negation to start then, and instead he said "I honor my quotes" he then said he'd not be making money on this project, and he would finish it, but it would be when he or his crew has time without a job lined up, and asked if I was okay with that. Of course I was. They honored their word, and their quote, and that's not something you see every day. While the quality of their work is such that I don't think I'll need to worry about either of these problems again, I will never go with another pest service after this. The quality of work, and the quality of people can not be understated here, and I will recommend them unqualifiedly for as long as I can.

Ken was very nice until I called to talk to him about this and then turned into a very condescending and rude person. They missed cracks and he said if he repaired it the driveway would look like hell because there would be squiggly lines all over it. their original squiggly lines, missed the cracks the first time. we opted not to bother And we'll patch it ourselves., but we won't use them again.

People dont understand that being a plumber in this day and age is tough with material allocation being insane. Homeowners don't understand how hard these guys have to work and they do work hard. They are professional, trustworthy and honest. Unlike other plumbers when they cut holes out of your wall they make a nice clean cut for easy patching and always clean up after themselves. They use moving blankets to protect the area they are working in and make sure to discuss the job with you before they start working. If you need quality service work these are the guys you want at your disposal. They are locals and very tight nit with the Ithaca community. One minute they are changing out your shower diverter amd an hour later they are installing steam piping at breweries. These guys do ALOT pf different jobs big and small. Give them credit where the credit os due. I dont care how many times they have to go get parts. Things change in a split second and your old ass house is the problem not them 100% of the time.

The good news is that unlike many folks in Ithaca, these guys actually pick up the phone. The bad…read morenews is that the service leaves a lot to be desired. I had a plumber look at a water pressure issue (apparently nothing to be done about that, so no worries) and a dripping tap. The plumber disassembled the tap, told me they needed to order a part - as usual, these always require some brand specific cartridge - and they'd get back to me once they sourced it. He did not put the tap back together properly, so I had to figure out how to reassemble it myself, and Warden never called me back about the replacement part. Weeks later I still have a dripping tap. Would not call these folks again, guess I'll teach myself how to replace the cartridge on my own so I can be assured of a decent job.
