I had a large shipment (large prefab Greenhouse) arriving at my house (2,000 lbs on an oversized pallet) and the company was initially good at coordinating when it would arrive (between 1 and 5pm). So I hired some help to assist me unloading it. Unfortunately it arrived fairly late at 4:45pm, but that's still in the delivery window. My plan was to off-load it piecemeal as fast as possible onto my driveway then relocate all the parts / panels / etc to my backyard. It was grueling work with many of the pieces weighing close to 200 lb. The point to make is that the delivery man (Chad) was absolutely fantastic! First off, he made sure that his large truck wouldn't damage my driveway pavers. Then to my surprise, he helped unload it - and I mean he really helped out big time. I placed a $50 bill under his paperwork for him to take... and when he found it he said "No way, you don't need to do this. I'm happy to help." Meh. I came here needing to send things and the guy didn't really help me that much. These places make you pay more but usually they are far more helpful. He also charged me .50 per box I needed some tape on. It was kinda odd because I waited for my receipt and when he didn't provide one I had to ask. He should ask if I want one rather than just let my money sit on a desk. Draw your own conclusions... I would skip this place and go to another location. My father and I visited Tuesday morning to pick up a U-Haul truck. Ana was working and she was very polite and professional on how to proceed with finalizing all aspects of the rental by cell phone. I feel bad for the new owners carrying the burden of the poor ratings on Yelp. I briefly came in to PA yesterday with a friend who needed to ship 3 small packages to three different states. The store looks exactly the same, minus the previous horrible owner Parul, and the scary video camera surveillance TV. The replacements are two very friendly women who had quite the line in front of them but dealt with everything calmly and efficiently. The prices are much more reasonable now, my friend was only charged about $4.30 for his transactions which I know with full confidence would not have been the case if the old owners were still running the store. Being a product of the digital age, I very rarely need to mail anything. For those infrequent times that I do, this has been my go-to spot to get it out. I've been coming here infrequently for the last 7+ years and have always received wonderful service. I like that it's a one-stop-shop for me - just bring my item(s) and the lovely ladies working will help me package it, label it, affix the postage, and make sure it gets out on a truck that same day - and I pay for it all with a single swipe of my credit card. Yes, it's more expensive than the post office, so if you mail things out every day (and have all the supplies/routine down pat), this probably isn't the best option for you. But if you, like me, don't have envelopes/stamps/packages laying around or access to a postal scale to tell you how much something will cost to ship - and if it's worth a few dollars extra to get in and out in a few minutes rather than standing in line for half an hour at the post office, this place is a great choice. Today I went in for something a little more in depth - to get a new passport photo and to mail in my passport renewal forms. I highly recommend them for this. Not only did the friendly young lady working take and print out my photo on the spot (after letting me preview the photo for approval before proceeding - thank you for indulging my vanity), but she double checked the documents for me, affixed the photo to the application in the special way they want it, and got it all in an express mail envelope with the appropriate amount of postage, and sent it out. I got all of this for $25.00 ($9.99 of which was for the photo) and was in and out in a matter of 15 minutes. I'm quite impressed with their proficiency and quite relieved to have that chore (which I've been putting off for the past month) checked off of my TO-DO list with such minimal hassle. And in this case, they were LESS expensive than the post office - who will charge you $25.00 just to put it in an envelope for you PLUS an extra $15 (or more?) for the photo and with whom you have to schedule an appointment weeks ahead of time. Nope, so glad I decided to take this much-easier route instead. Thank you again to the lovely ladies of Postal Annex for the convenience you offer and the friendly, hassle-eliminating service. (3.5 Stars: Would be 4 to 5 if their markup on the postage was lower.) read more

I don't like rating or giving people bad reviews but having been in this store last week was probably the second and the last time . A young girl was helping me she had a line and was trying to help everyone in a well mannered attitude apologizing to everyone for the wait . I was up and I believe from the way this man acted towards this young girl was the owner . He was rude he kept hovering over her . Telling her do this and that . The first time I went in the store the lady who owns it was yelling at her employees about how to do their job. SCAM!!!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE! I wanted to deliver a box of oranges and lemons to my mom in a USPS flat rate box. The lady charged me $50 dollars PER BOX for standard shipping!! When I asked why the price was so high, they said it was because of the weight. I asked again why it was so high after explaining to them that the boxes were flat rate boxes. They again said that it was to heavy even though they only weighed 10 lbs each. Later on, I needed to mail a book. I sealed it in an envelope and handed it to the same lady. She asked for $30 just to mail it standard shipping!!!! I raised the BS flag on her saying that it was only a book. She insisted. I turned to her co-worker and asked her the same question. I grabbed my mail and was about to walk out and go to the post office, but they said that they would give me a "discount" and mail it media mail instead, which was what I wanted in the first place. They weighed my small paper back book and said it was 2 lbs. Obviously their scales seem a bit weighted. Left there paying $8.00 and a promise to never go back there again. read more

Here is the full details. My brother rented a trailer to move some of our parents things. I offered to return the trailer.. My sister-in-law was told to return it to the Postal Annex. I called when I got there and asked where to park it, Parul told me anywhere in back with the other trucks and then come inside. I went to park it in a spot right behind their business then I saw that Postal Annex had placed a no parking sign, they save it for the UPS and Fedex drivers. It would have been nice if an employee could have met me in the rear to direct me. I parked next to another Uhaul truck and unhitched it from my brother's SUV. Another person dropping off a Uhaul showed up, they had 2 trucks and a trailer. They were lost in terms of where to park too. When I unhitched the trailer it rolled forward, since where I dropped it was on a slope. I needed help, again it would have been nice if an employee was there to assist me. I had to hold the trailer (from hitting the SUV) and I called Parul, again. I asked for help in the parking lot, she said she was with a customer and would be back in a bit. 5 minutes go by, the other Uhaul drop off customers are also stuck not knowing where to park. Parul came out and asked what I needed. I showed her that the trailer rolled and asked her to hold it while I move the SUV, she did. I went back and the trailer rolled too far, into the aisle way of the parking lot. Parul said I had to move the trailer to the next stall. The other customer helped me and we physically pushed the trailed into the next spot. I ended up hurting my back in doing so, not cool. I went to follow Parul into the office and found out that there is no rear customer entrance, so I had to drive around. When I enter there are four people in line before me. 3 for packages and then the other Uhaul drop off customer. It took awhile for the packaging and weighing. I saw another employee in the back room, Parul talked with her. About ten minutes waiting and the other employee leaves. Not cool since an extra person would have helped with the line of customers waiting. The other Uhaul customer goes before me, Parul takes their keys and asked for mine, I remind her that a trailer did not come with keys (after all you don't drive it). Parul went outside and checked the other Uhaul trucks, about 5 minutes later she came back and told the other customer that he needed to unhook his trailer. He complained that he did not hook it up when he rented it and did not know how to unhook it (Uhaul did). Parul said it didn't matter he had to do it here, kind of rude. Again a situation where another employee working there would have been nice. He seemed annoyed at how long the process was taking too, his wife mentioned it to him also. Parul then told me I could just leave, she would check in the Uhaul and email a receipt. Thanks, but you could have told me that 30 minutes earlier but ok... Anyways, I wrote my review from my phone right after. Many of the problems could have been solved by another employee working. I realize that paying an employee costs money but customer's time is also money to the customer. Total time there = 44 minutes, that time is based off of phone calls I made. I have dropped off Uhauls before, it is basically a 10 minute ordeal, no more. In review, I wasted about 45 minutes and hurt my back. I don't not recommend this store. I went into the store to ship a package. The store owner told me the price was $120 to ship fed ex. I refused, and asked her how much she marks up above the fed ex price. She said she doesn't know that it is controlled by fed ex. I the proceeded to go to the fed ex depot. The price was $32. I asked them how mailbox stores charge. Fed ex stated they charge whatever they want. Obviously a dishonest retailer. I love having options in SEH, and I try to support local retailers, however, I will never use this store again. How are we to "support local" when they charge a 4x mark up? read more

Beware of over pricing! I live in the neighborhood but will never again use this place for services. I brought in a flat rate usps pkg to mail. She handed it to the mailman and then charged me $9.81 for the small flat rate ( usps chg $5.25.). That weighed only 2 ounces the same as a letter. She knew that I was expecting it to be like staples where you just drop it off. But after the mailman was gone I could not get my pkg back. She was non caring and rude. I am so glad I decided to come here! I had a very delicate, tedious print job to do, it was going to take me quit some time to do it. The paperwork is very old from 1909+ and was approx 150 pages of delicate rice paper and very old pages, special handling to keep it from falling apart. I was going to go to Staples but decided to go to the Postal Annex on Sycamore in Vista. Anna was amazing and offered to do the job for me! I didn't want to leave my priceless print job to just anyone, but she was so careful with it when we were testing the copier to make sure everything was clear that I felt very comfortable having her do it. When I returned, everything was just as I would have hoped for. I am so grateful to have a place where I can take special handling items, or any print job to be cared for. And the new owner Kristine was so nice too. Nice to know that the Postal Annex in Vista is back to a hometown feel! read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!! This place does not even deserve a 1 star rating. I have never had such horrible service. From the looks of the rest of the reviews, I am not alone. Due to the fact that I live less than a mile from this store and they are open later than the post office is why I used them on (too many) occasions. I know better now and am willing to drive farther to a different store. The owner, Parul Parikh, is not professional at all and has no business in owning a part of this franchise. Her store is NOT even accredited with the BBB, and for good reason I guess (they would be out of business!) - The prices are outrageous, more that twice the price at the USPS! - A $0.49 stamp costs $0.75 (figure that one out) - Sales clerk is very slow, so line forms quickly- and there is absolutely NO A/C so it gets extremely hot and stuffy inside! - The customer service is very poor - The owner, Parul, and the other clerk both have heavy Middle Eastern accents and are hard to understand - They charge for EVERYTHING (.50 to tape an envelope, fax did not go through, they charge you EACH time until it sends, they mess up on photocopy and charge you for it....) read more

Unfortunately this is the closest nearby drop off location for UPS to my business and we stop here a few times a month in the morning. They are supposed to open at 8:30 but today is the 4th time I am here at 8:35 and nobody is here. There are other people here waiting for them to open as well. What a huge headache for the business community. If I can be on time to work, why can't they! Looks like someone just got here at 8:40, but ten minutes late means I have to wait ten minutes. I was having trouble completing an online parcel intercept. (I didn't even know that term!) The post office wasn't answering their phone for help.
