Texas isn't just honky tonks and BBQ (though our BBQ is da best!); we are an incredibly diverse state and this show really does a great job of highlighting that. I'm a life long Texan, but I've learned about so many cool and quirky places around the state from watching this show. The store offers all sorts of Texas related items. Mugs, cutting boards, t-shirts, etc. You can find a lot of cute TX themed items. They also sell merchandise of places they have featured on the show. One of my favorite merchandise items was from El Arroyo in Austin (for those who don't know, El Arroyo is famous for their snarky marquee messages). They had funny puzzles, mugs, stickers, etc. We probably stood there for a good 5 minutes just reading all of the funny messages. The young lady that was working was very sweet and helpful. Unfortunately Shane (the host) and his wife weren't there, but there was a life size cardboard cut out of him that you could take a picture with lol. The TBL Hummers were parked out front which was cool to see. If you're a fan of the show or are looking for TX themed merchandise, this is a great little store to visit.

But once inside, you'll find it literally glitters with a huge collection of beautiful glassware-the passion of owner, Anita, and sparkles with the potential of hidden treasure in the eclectic mix of goodies in the backroom: kitchen kitsch, vintage irons and sewing patterns, picnic baskets, ceramic chickens, and enamelware to name a few of my finds. I told her I would be FaceTiming my friend as I shopped and she didn't mind at all. In fact, I set the camera up on a candle and filmed myself while Holly graciously walked candles to and from my location so I could get a hint of the entire store. Incredible customer service! I was immediately greeted by a lovely woman who was super eager to help (despite the fact she was restocking a ton of inventory). She showed me some hidden gems including blank stationary as well as physical cards aside from the "Thank You" note section. When I say she helped me, she was insanely thorough. I expected to walk in and out but I discovered some gold with a 15 minute stay. Also, I had previously complained about an employee at this store and the corporate owner reached out to me via email and we had a great back and forth. I suggested she add certain thank you notes that are embossed and available on the website -- she agreed. Finally, I can't recommend becoming a rewards member ON THE WEBSITE. When I gave the cashier my number, she only had a $2 off. On my phone I showed her that I actually had 3 coupons ($4 x 2 and $2 off). I walked out with a nice card for my boss and a pack of thank you cards for under $5! Don't think this store is impossible despite the ridiculous market pricing. Give them a shot!
