Disappointed!! I bought an item from Amazon and PetSmart to be sent to my PO BOX. Both sellers sent them via FedEx, who doesn't ship to a POST OFFICE. First off... Why send it this way?! Instead of contacting me at the provided number/email, the packages were sent to my old address far away from my current home (have no idea where they got this old address) Contacted FedEx to pick up the packages, however they never came to pick them up. Luckily, the old neighbor was able to drop them off at a half way point. This location, which I thought was a FedEx site. When I arrived here, the guy states they charge over $10 for a "pick up fee" for these packages! This was not mentioned on the phone when I called to ask if they could hold the packages..... $10!! FedEx did not deliver them correctly and I'm penalized for trying to get my packages at an authorized FedEx dealer. Dude didn't even ask if he could help me get the over 50lb package into my car. This review will be a little tricky because it involves more than just the Postal Annex store itself. I had five boxes that needed shredding which was supposed to be free from MFCU but the truck never showed. So after holding these boxes in my house for over a year I had to suckitup and pay for them to be shredded. I googled shred businesses and 521 Yopp Drive came up without a name of the business. I called the number that came up 910-400-4188. I was on the phone for 11 minutes while driving to the location. I searched more on the phone because I could not find the dang store. You have to click on another section to see the location which then still gives the number above, and then states 521 Yopp Dr #214, and .50 cent per pound but could be higher. This is not acceptable information. I finally saw the Postal Annex while driving around looking for 521 Yopp. I went in very frustrated and told the girl I have been driving around looking for 521 Yopp. The website is horrible. The number I called is not yours. Dedra was very understanding and sweet. She came out to the car and help load the boxes (because of my bad back) and then kindly took care of the process. I was thinking 50 cents a pound and when the pounds kept going up (didn't realize how much it all really weighed) I was surprised that it only cost me $45 when I was thinking $25. When I got home I saw the price per pound at .99 cent. Wow that is not what the website says. So I called the next day to inform them that they need to have Shred Nation fix the info. My suggestion would be for Annex Postal to but their own info so it pops up under shredding searches. The reason for 4 stars, is the shred nation portion but staff gets 5 stars! needed to male a letter to Social Security Administration in Raleigh OVERNIGHT because they required it to be at their facility by a specific date. I went to Postal Annex, and have uses them for many years, and I told the guy I needed this mailed OVERNIGHT. I paid 45 dollars and some change to have it sent. I checked my tracking the next day to make sure it arrived and it says it won't be there until tomorrow. Two days after I sent it through Postal Annex. I could have mailed it from my own mailbox and had it there by the same day. I called and the girl said it takes 24 to 48 hours for them to OVERNIGHT a letter to a PO Box. I explained that.no one ts me that when I said I needed it sent OVERNIGHT. She dis not offer a refund or anything. I am so upset. I normally use them every year at.Christmas to mail all my packages. Also, recently my husband went there to have them send some important papers to Social Security and they ripped several of the pages. I have used this location for several services. As a notary place, it's fine. Bring your $5, sometimes you get a deal for more than one signature. As a postal shipping location, I would never use them again. We shipped several large packages out of here USPS and belatedly found that it costs extra. I had specifically asked if they charge an extra rate or surcharge, and the employee lied to me, saying no. When I went home and double checked the size and weight online at usps.com, I called back, and they told me they do charge an extra fee but it is set through corporate and they don't know what it is. Because of the lie and the amount that it cost me, which was almost $50 in extra postage, I will never ever use this store again, and I will be certain to tell all of my military family and friends never to use them for shipping. read more

I needed to ship my husband's laptop back to corporate for repairs and knew that Postal Annex on Yopp Road could assist me with getting it securely package and on its way. The manager Kim was exceptionally helpful in accommodating​ me with ensuring that the laptop wouldn't be damaged in transit. Kim was personable​ and knowledgeable​​. I also observed her thoughtfully greeting other customers as they came in to simply drop off packages and had them back out the door with a smile on their face in less than 30 seconds! Each of the 4 or 5 customers she took care of while at the same time assisting me seemed shocked at her efficiency​! She really has the excellent customer service role down pat! I love this place they are the best. They are so helpful with your packages and any kind of service they offer, they are very professional, kind, and wonderful to talk to. I'm so thankful they were able to find out why my package was not delivered and returned to me. They found out that the person in California tried to say my daughter didn't live there anymore and returned the box. What they found out the person took it to the wrong apt # and not my daughter's. They took care of everything and the package was resent for no extra fee and had them track the package so it went to the right apt. They went out of there way for me and that is very valuable to me. read more

The lady with the braids is so friendly, considerate, and helpful. I drive a long ways just to get their great customer service. I also LOVE their music! (They have klove radio playing, I believe.) This store is conviently located next to the good super Walmart, lowe's, Aldi's, dollar store, an outlet type place, and sweet frogs frozen yogurt. :) I like to kill two birds with one stone for the drive I make. Went in to send a package back with a free pre paid shipping label, and it literally took less than a minute. I'm waiting to be credited back so I can give them a final review but so far so good. The lady working on Saturday when I went was very sweet. I feel bad that I didn't get her name. Final review: I gave them the package on Saturday March 19th & the package got there by March 23rd. ALWAYS GET A SECOND QUOTE! This place wanted to charge me $150 to ship a package. Yes it was large, fragile and 18lbs, but $150 seemed a little pricey. So, I went over to Goin postal on western and they charged me A FOURTH of what annex wanted. This is the second time I have noticed that their prices are higher then stores around them. I called to see if I can get a banner done for today because my nephew is graduating USMC bootcamp and I got a flight out the next day. I called so many places with negative responses. Except for Postal Annex staff, Blue, who help me without hesitation, she did above and beyond her normal job. For example, I had some what of banner template and she dressed it up with permission of course, she made it look so much better and got it done in one day!!!! I was so happy because I can hold this remarkable banner with pride at his graduation!!!
