Watch out, awesomeness awaits!!! We were hosting our team and needed a place to unwind after a hard days work. Touring the area a month ago, I found Postino. Talked with the hostess and we were able to secure reservations for our team. We had a couple last minute adds. I called and the manager was super understanding and we were able to make it work. I really appreciated the very positive and professionalism working with the manager in updating our reservation. The day of the event was simple exceptional! The Postino team had us set up in the perfect area, a blend of inside and patio seating. Our hostess, Sav, went above and beyond throughout the evening. Sav was able to make menu recommendations and ensured our food and drink arrived quickly. With a large group, we ordered across the menu. Everything tasted amazing and our team had nothing but positive comments on the food's taste and presentation. Favorites were the Smoked Salmon, OMG Grilled Cheese, Maitake Mushroom, and the Bruschetta (they are all great!). I brought my team here for dinner based on our local team member's recommendation. The bruschetta boards were amazing and I wish we ordered more. I probably could have just done a bunch of bruschetta boards shared and forego the entree. We did 2 boards for 9 people and it was perfect sizing for an appetizer. I also got the Brie and prosciutto panini on ciabatta - great. I also tasted someone else's grilled cheese and immediately had order envy. Great beer, cider and wine selection as well. I have always loved and raved about Postino's. Been to multiple locations and have never been disappointed until now. Got dinner to go tonight (via DoorDash) and this is what our OMG grilled cheese and soup looked like... a tiny blob of cheese (when it's supposed to be 3-4 different cheeses) and a couple of crumbles of bacon. The tomato soup was 1/4 of the tiny to-go cup,full. We ordered two of these and a bruschetta board of 4 different kinds. The board was okay at best. But for $75, this was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent on a meal. I'm extremely understanding when it comes to restaurants and DoorDash meals. But this made us absolutely furious. Until tonight; there was a large cockroach crawling around my friends foot, when we tried to call over staff to help no one came. I have visited Postino many times and their many locations and one thing I appreciate about them is their consistency. I get the same level of service and quality every time I visit, which gets me to come time and time again. There's a reason why they are always busy! Thanks for an excellent experience every time I go! My most recent visit consisted of a cucumber lemonade - one of my favorite things on the menu. We also ordered a cheese board, veggie board and some bruschetta. The veggie board was so gorgeous and appealing to my eyes. Don't doctors say that we should eat the rainbow? While I didn't document the bruschetta or cheese board, I did snap a picture of the veggie board. The veggie board consisted of roasted cauliflower, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, almonds, carrots, cucumbers and hummus. If you've never been to Postino, they're known for their wine selection and their bruschetta. Grab a group of people and choose from four difference flavors for your Bruschetta board. Each one is great and you really can't go wrong with any of the options they offer. They also offer salads, sandwiches and a soup of the day. I've never had something I didn't like on their menu. SO happily surprised by the amazing food here! My son and I wandered in after touring ASU and had a lunch so full of flavor! My wife and I are frequent visitors to the Kierland Postinos, where we've consistently had great food and excellent service. Naturally, we were excited to visit the Tempe location after watching a play at Gammage theater. Unfortunately, our experience at the Tempe location was one of the worst we've had at any restaurant, let alone at Postinos. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing and were greeted with very average service. After being seated, we ordered quickly, but things went downhill from there. First, the French onion soup we've come to love was served ice cold--a sign of what was to come. Next, the bruschetta arrived, and though a few were supposed to be hot, they were also ice cold, with the bread completely untoasted. When our sandwiches came out, it only got worse. I ordered the beef dip with au jus. The sandwich had barely any meat, and the au jus was colder than our water. My "hot" sandwich was freezing cold as well. This was, by far, our worst experience at Postinos and one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. We left incredibly disappointed, especially since we've always had great experiences at the Kierland location. read more

What a find! Usually a bit skeptical with, trendy places like this...I was quickly proved wrong 30 seconds after sitting down. The first thing worth noting is the high level of service you get, from everyone. It's a real team environment here and it doesn't come across as forced. Secondly and of course most important, is the food. All well thought out and executed perfectly...and I'm not just trying to sound all "foodie-epicurean-esk" here. The food was amazing. The French onion soup was in my opinion, perfect. Big beefy/onion flavor but not overly salty. The cheese was wasted dripping all over the edges either...it was all inside the soup, just waiting for you and your scavenging skills to mine it out. I asked for a side of bread to dip and they served up a scrumptious side of lightly toasted bread...more than likely homage or sourced locally. The soup also have the same bread in it as well...jackpot! The Caesar salad was also excellent. Why? Well, not o lu was the dressing spot on, slightly unique but delicious....the skewer of chicken was cooked (grilled) to order. Who does that still? Well, they do, that's who! I couldn't have been more pleased from the entire experience. It made my little working lunch extremely enjoyable....no lie. When you travel weekly, it's the little things like this you yearn for. Postino is still my daughters and my fav place to dine! First time at this location and still as good as any of the other locations. As always ordered the bruschetta board. Warm artichoke dip x 2 (because it's so good), Brie apple & fig spread and burrata,bacon, arugula and tomato were the bruschettas we selected. The only one we didn't care for was the burrata,bacon, arugula and tomato one because it didn't have much flavor. The bacon was super Smokey tasting, the tomato's didn't have any flavor nor did the cheese or arugula. We wouldn't order that one again. This time we also ordered the OMG grilled cheese that comes with tomato "dip" aka soup. This was super delicious! Full of flavor and my daughter keeps asking when we are going back so she can get this. I highly recommend this dish! read more

I have to say... I LOVE Postino's. I have been coming to different locations for years. I used to live right next door to the Gilbert location and frequented it weekly for board and bottle night (Mondays and Tuesdays, $25 for 4 bruschetta and a bottle of wine -- I love Stagedive Pinot Noir.) Now here's where my issue is: last night my friend and I split a board, bottle and another appetizer. We asked the server to split the check 50/50. They have the handheld card readers. When she ran my card, I chose 20% for the tip. I realized after I pressed it and my friend brought it up that it was 20% for the entire bill. Turns out, my friend did the exact same thing too. I recall seeing a lawsuit against The Cheesecake Factory for a very similar incident. I love Postino's, I love the vibe and the food and the wine. I do not love how their system offers fraudulent tip amounts to their customers. I wonder how many times this has happened and I hope management sees this and resolved it ASAP. read more

Alright, let's begin. Let's start off with the bad. The French Onion bruschetta. In theory this is a wicked idea, the execution was a disaster. The torch or whatever they're doing back there needs upgraded or just needs to go. My first bite consisted of cold onions with melted cheese on top all tasting like butane. God awful. Thought I was the only one till I brought it up and others at the table agreed. Get rid of it, fix something. Something needs to change. Also, I've mentioned to two people outside of the group I was with and both said they were served it cold. just a No. Now the good... Pepperjam goat cheese is truly the pinnacle of Postinos. 10/10 everytime always delivers a smile to my belly. Salami and pesto and Brie Apple are spectacular as always. Brie Apple is very refreshing always have this one on the board. Drinks were lovely waitress was amazing. Love you postinos just hate your god awful french onion. We went here for my friend's birthday with a party of 12. We made sure to do a reservation and were quickly attended to. (Note: this was on a Tuesday night and was not as busy as the weekends. In addition, they do not do reservations with parties with 4 people and under.) The atmosphere: We went around sunset and we had outdoor seating, which we did not mind. Right before sundown, the staff brought out candles for those that sat outdoors and there were also strung lights hanging above the tables. Not the brightest lighting but it definitely had a nice, relaxed mood throughout the restaurant. The food: I got a Board which you can mix and match 4 bruschetta. Mine consisted of two smoked salmon and pesto, one warm artichoke spread, and one prosciutto di parma, fig & mascarpone. My personal favorite was the prosciutto (a nice blend of the salty ham and sweet fig). I loved the food and it was filling for me! The staff: Because we were a larger party, we had at least three different staff members waiting on us. They were very attentive and came back often to make sure that everybody's drinks were filled. Our main waitress came back to check to make sure that everyone's food was out and that things were looking good. Great customer service and hospitality. The payment: At this Postino's, they had a little travel card reader machine that way we can see the payment being processed right in front of us. Since we were a larger group, they also did go out of their way to ask if the payment was going to be separate and did a good job of not mixing up everybody's order. Overall: I love Postino's! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants to go to. This is the first time that I have been to the Tempe location specifically and it was so conveniently close to campus with much parking across the street. read more

Visited on Saturday. I love postino and can pretty much always order the same thing and enjoy it. But this time was just not so good, the paninis were incredibly dry and were noticeably cold. The server left us empty on water for a while, and i ordered no bacon on my sandwich but ended up finding a chunk of it inside. I also could taste the bacon in most bites that i took. First and last time coming to this Postino location. Hands down the worst service I've ever had a at a Postino. I think our server was recovering from doing some serious drugs the night before. I don't eat pork and I still always find amazing options to select from for the bruschetta board. My top is always the salmon pesto and ricotta/dates/pistachio. We live this place as out date spot. Bruschettas are always amazing. Mondays and Tuesdays are board&bottle days where you get a bruschetta board and wine for $25. Only downsides are that the music is not appropriate for the ambiance and they calculate the tip out of the original price of the board and wine and not the discounted version. Which is okay I guess but we paid a lot for the tip considering we were trying to be budget friendly by going on a monday:D read more
