The space is huge with plenty of tables, booths, and bar seating, plus they have a dog-friendly patio, although it didn't seem to be open during our visit. One thing to note is that ordering is done entirely through QR code, so interaction with staff is pretty minimal. Service was still smooth, but it definitely has more of a self-service feel. Their board game collection is massive and there's a $6 per person fee if you want to play. We ended up skipping the games this time and just came for food and drinks. Food-wise, everything was solid. I had the Spellbinder Hazy IPA along with the patty melt and sweet potato fries (a $3 upcharge). The patty melt was excellent and easily the highlight of my meal. The fries were decent, though I wish they had been a little crispier. My wife had the 12 West Super Beaker Tropical IPA and the carnitas bowl. We also shared the fried pickle chips. Parking can be a bit of a hassle since all the nearby downtown Tempe garages are paid parking, but there are at least several options within walking distance. Haven't been here in years but went with friends on a Saturday afternoon. We walked in and were quickly seated. We only got cocktails, which were good. Nothing on the menu was appealing to us at the time of our visit but we did see some good looking dishes come out. Menus are barcodes and you order and pay online. For some reason, my online check stopped working so I wound up paying with the server. We tried to assemble a puzzle but so many pieces were missing. The game librarian introduced herself so my friends asked if they check if all pieces are in a game or set when someone turns them in and the person said no. We really didn't understand why she was there then lol charging a fee for games and puzzles when they have so many missing pieces is annoying. It was just okay in my opinion but other guests love it! The bread was warm and soft which I enjoyed. I was hoping for crunchy iceberg lettuce but turned out they only had romaine. I didn't find myself as impressed by this club as I usually am. The bacon was also a bit dry and laking in flavor and crisp. An iceberg option would be great in the future! Excited to finally check this spot out with a friend! Came on a Wednesday night not knowing it's trivia night and you need reservations. Luckily we got seated right away but were only allowed to stay until 7 when trivia starts. We ordered food and quickly checked out the games to find something we could play in an hour. Love how the games are tagged with colored stickers to find games suited for the number of players and then labeled by type. Love all the nostalgia games too (I haven't seen crackers in my bed since I was little)! The server was friendly and helpful explaining how to order through the app (you have to pay $6 per person if you choose to play games). I ordered strawberry spinach salad and friend ordered the wings. The drinks and food came out really quickly so we could easily enjoy the meal in the allotted time. The salad was fresh and a great size. It was really flavorful and I devoured every bite (I usually prefer to order with dressing on side but it wasn't too drenched so I could enjoy it). We came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was pretty empty at 11 AM, but it was Easter weekend. It quickly filled up by the time we left an hour later. You can make reservations on OpenTable. I wanted to come here for the longest time, and I FINALLY made it!! I found out their brunch trivia morning on a Sunday and I committed to making it this time with my lovely friends!! The entire experience was lovely. The flow was smooth. There were no awkward moments and we were given plenty of time to order our food and beverages (via a QR code) eat, and chitchat with each other in between parts of the trivia game. The hosts were lovely and they sounded loud enough for everyone to hear (their AV system is great), so even if you're seated at a corner, you'll be fine. This was really fun! It's nicely decorated and very spacious. We were welcomed right away and told how it worked -- a server does come bring waters but you pay your game fee and do any orders online. I have been coming to Snakes & Lattes in Tempe for several years now. Every time I have stopped by, I have had a great experience. The food is excellent. I like that they have a nice selection of food on their menu. While everything on their menu I have tried has been great, their macaroni and cheese stands out the most. It is some of the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had. You can never go wrong with their desserts either. I have tried every dessert they offer, and they are all fantastic in their own way. To the best of my memory, Snakes & Lattes is where I had my first affogato. While I have had an affogato from several restaurants now, Snakes & Lattes is where I had my initial one. The affogato is a perfect combination of sweet and bitter. Their skillet cookie and waffle sundaes are also excellent choices if you are craving anything sweet. The staff is friendly and attentive. To my knowledge, the only time I have been there is during lunchtime, which tends to be their quietest time during business hours, as they have told me and from experience. Thus, I have had some friendly conversations with the staff about sports and what they enjoy doing for fun outside of work. Another thing I like about Snakes & Lattes is its low-key atmosphere. Not only are there many board games to play, but it is also a brilliant spot to unwind and get a breather in before resuming the workday. It also helps that Snakes & Lattes is within walking distance of my workplace. Snakes and Lattes had great vibes. I met up with a group of people and we played games on a Saturday night. There's plenty of room, plenty of tables, and you use your phone to order. Once you've submitted your order, your food or drinks come out very quickly. They have a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which was great. I didn't see a ton of food going around, but the food I did see either looked delicious or tasted delicious. They have all kinds of board games--from party games to more complex strategy games. You basically pay a flat fee of $6 per person, and then you can play all night. We had people checking on us all the time, and it was a really good time overall. If I had to nitpick, the one thing I'd recommend is this: if you're going to be there for a while, bring a seat cushion. The benches are hard wood, and if you don't have a lot of natural padding, it's going to start to hurt. At least five people in our group, including myself, commented on how uncomfortable the benches and chairs were. So as dumb as it might sound, bring a cushion. I guarantee you'll come back and find me on Yelp just to send me a thank-you card and a gift certificate, because that's how happy you'll be that I told you to bring one. We thought the way you had to order on your phones is VERY confusing. We are all 29 so it is not like we are not used to technology either. You add it to a tab and then they immediately start making it. We thought you had to check out and then they bring it which makes so much more sense to me. Also, you add the game play onto your tab as well instead of just paying someone. It is a good idea but I don't think their app quite works good enough yet to have that be the only option.
