Here for bottle and board almost every week... ask for Carrie as your server, she's the best! Fun and upbeat, very knowledgeable of the wine list and general menu. We asked for recommendations based on our preferences and each of the very first tasters were HITS. Best experience I've ever had at any Postino restaurant (which is an incredibly high bar). Bruschetta is consistently delicious - always go for the apple/Brie/fig, prosciutto/mascarpone/fig, ricotta/dates/pistachio. The seasonal has been a winner every single time (this time was spicy pepper jam and goat cheese). Gluten free and vegan options are extensive, and the staff is top notch. Friendly and timely service from the whole staff, you get helped by a pool of servers and not a dedicated server. The pace wasn't too fast though which was nice that they weren't rushing out a party of one taking up a table during a weekend brunch. Great space for indoor outdoor vibe in fair weather. This location is pretty much right on ASU Tempe campus, so it's always busy, especially with their Monday and Tuesday after 8pm deal on bruschetta and wine, and daily $5 glass of wine/pitcher before 5pm. Met up with some friends on a Saturday night here and the hostess estimated about a 20-30 min wait, which I expected. I was pleasantly surprised when our table was ready in about 10 min. After ordering, it took a while to actually get our food. Thankfully I had eaten a bit beforehand, so I didn't get very hangry, and we also were not in a rush. I'm a big fan of the bruschetta, but you also can't go wrong with a panini! If you want to try out Postino and don't really want to wait, I would recommend going during off-peak hours, or seeing if another location would also work. In my experience, other locations can also have a wait during peak hours, such as during weekend brunch. read more

This is my favorite lunch/happy hour spot. I dream about the artichoke bruschetta. My favorite salad went away a while ago (Italian picnic) but the Brussels sprout salad and the nicoise (served deconstructed so you can make your own perfect bite) totally make up for it. The grilled cheese is also yummy. The beer and wine lists are good and glasses of wine and pitchers (just under two pints) are $5 before 5:00. They don't advertise it but you can get a half order of almost anything (not the nicoise). I usually get a half salad and a single bruschetta (or two). They also have nightly specials like a bottle and board for $20. The servers can be a bit aloof sometimes and waits at peak times are long but those are the only downsides. read more

Above all what I like best about the many great things about all of the Postino's restaurants is the hospitality!!! Last week I popped into The Postino on College Ave for a cold $5 small pitcher of beer, what an amazing price for any of the great beers on tap. Service was swift and friendly and my 30 minute visit was very enjoyable. It was so enjoyable That when I was given a choice for my birthday gathering of friends This location was my only choice. Birthday night was grand, and everything we ordered was delicious! The Pub Board was loaded with awesome cheeses salami, humus and other tasty items it's 15 bucks but well worth every penny. Several bottles of wine and fantastic boards of Bruschetta were also shared amongst us friends and as usual they were interesting and tasty. Service was stellar, and ever present, but never intrusive. AJ, The General Manager even stopped by with birthday greetings while busy orchestrating one of the best run and busiest restaurants in town. read more

Big fan of Bruschetta so naturally I'm a big fan of this place. I ordered a board with the spicy pepper jelly, tomato & basil, pesto & salami, and Brie & apple with fog jelly. My least favorite of them was the tomato, basil, mozzarella just because it was bland compare to the others. The others I could not eat fast enough, that's how yummy they were. Each one had so much flavor in each bite. My friend ordered one of their premade boards and his looked amazing. I'd like to try it the next time I go. I've heard on mondays they have board and bottle for $25. I think it'd be a fun place to go for that. The atmosphere is fun and feels a bit more up scale. The patio area is lovely as well. read more

Nice vibe, on campus makes the crowd a bit younger. Prices didnt gouge, great specials on great ipa's. My only issue was the descriptions of the sandwiches. Being italian, I'm pretty sure there was no gelato on the Nine iron. Great sandwich, but the misuse of stracciatella peeved me, like i was an idiot or something. I would recommend postino any day but especially if you have COLE as a server! I love love love postino so I was really excited, and it was my boyfriends first time being here so I was even more stoked for him to try it. I had to have my "OMG grilled cheese" taken back the first time because it was really cold and so was the tomato soup it comes with. I have had it before and know how good it is, so i had no problem sending it back for a hot one because I wanted my boyfriend to taste it as it's meant to be eaten. My sister who was with us saw Cole give back the grilled cheese multiple times to the kitchen staff *on his own* which I'm assuming means the grilled cheeses weren't up to par. With the final OMG grilled cheese that was brought out, the grilled cheese was hot, but the tomato soup was still cold. I asked Cole if it was meant to be cold, and he said no and was upset that it was still cold. He took it back, and brought out a hot one and MAN this grilled cheese and tomato soup was STELLAR!!!! Cole made me feel like my food was made with love. And to top it off, my boyfriend effing loved it (and so did I)!!!! Someone give that guy Cole a raise. He's the reason I will be going back to this Postino location!!!!! The ambiance was awesome for date night!!! Would've given 3 stars maybe even 2 but giving five because Cole went above and beyond to make our experience excellent! read more

Postino's is the perfect choice for a casual or romantic place to eat. At first glance, it seems like a simple hole-in-the-wall restaurant with nothing special to it but oh boy is that wrong. Once you go inside the ambience takes you somewhere special. The dim lighting, tasteful music, and the welcome crowd make it a perfect place to visit. Not only was the staff super kind but they were attentive and quick to help with whatever we needed. From the pictures attached you can see how warm and welcoming this spot is, and has amazing food to go along with it. The bruschetta came out super fast and was perfect. One of my favorite spots in Tempe! Their food is always really good, especially the bruschetta. Monday's and Tuesday's, they do a bottle of wine and a full board of bruschetta (4 big pieces!) for $25. They recently raised this from $20, but it's still an amazing deal. The brunch is also fantastic. My favorite thing about this place is that everyday before 5pm, they have happy hour that includes $5 glasses of wine and $5 pitchers of beer. Definitely the place to go if you're looking for drink specials! Staff is always friendly, but they do get super busy at times which can sometimes slow staff down to take care of you. They have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as bar seating. Ideal for smaller groups, but if you do have a large group going be sure to arrive early as you will most likely need to wait at peak times. read more

We were in town for our daughters graduation and we stopped into Postino's for lunch. The lunch was really good but it was our server Eddie who made the day. He was personable and went out of his way to make our experience great! In fact it was so good that we came back a second time and asked to be seated at his table. Although we were not able to be seated Eddie's area, the manager was kind enough to let him serve our table (another example of how good the atmosphere is!). I recommend Postino to all! read more

I've been coming to Postinos since this location opened. Service has always been a hit or miss, and today, it was a total miss. My server took forever to appear and was dismissive. There was another time when I came to Postinos with friends, and they forgot one of our orders (bruschetta board). The server asked us to leave because we'd been there for a while, and when we informed them of our missing order, they said that the chefs were "running behind" on our order because of rush hour. Sure. But! The food is good, same as the other locations. The mozzarella and tomato, brie and apple, and mascarpone with figs and prosciutto bruschetta are always solid, as is the prosciutto with brie panini. The sparkling rose is nice too. In terms of service, I prefer the Gilbert location over the ASU and Downtown Phoenix ones. read more

This place is just a great place to experience if you havent already experienced it. They specialize in wine, sandwiches, and bruschetta. Lots of different great combos of bruschetta. They have good beer as well. All their locations are unique but typically have a great patio. This location has a massive patio. I went here for brunch Recently and had one of the coolest colorful presentations of a meal...the Focaccia stack. Wasnt very filling but really really tasty. Gf water here. Busy place, after we got here at 800pm there was a short wait. The wait staff was bustling around, but never left us along for long. We ordered Italian "tapas". A gluten free board, skewers, and sweet potato wedges. I made my husband and I rate each plate individually first. The board was a 4, the skewers were a 4 (the sauce was fantastic), but the winner was the sweet potatoes. Now it wasn't all that fantastic but the crisp outside and still firm inside was wonderful. It was lightly seasoned. But the sauce was so lovely. It was a spicy tahini sauce so good we had to order more. I ordered their Argus cider. It was sweet and dry. So yummy. I've been coming here almost every week for a year. Board & Bottle is a great deal and $6 pitchers are even better (but I do remember when it used to be $5). The bruschetta board seems small but I always find it very filling. I always recommend this place to people! My biggest complaint is that at night they dim all the lights inside and it's impossible to see very well - and when you're already a little buzzed it makes it that much harder to get to the bathroom. I came here with 2 friends/work colleagues. It was a great space to talk and catch up as it was not too loud. We shared a butcher's board and a bruschetta plate. We really liked that you get to customize your bruschetta plate with 4 different toppings. The four we had were (1) traditional tomato-basil-mozzarella (2) fig-apple-brie (3) smoked salmon with capers (4) red pepper jelly. All 4 were so good we ended up ordering a second set! #3 was my favorite, #2 was one of my colleague's favorite. For dessert, we split a creme brûlée. It is a good size, easy for one person to finish but large enough to share. It comes out with fresh strawberries on the side. I would come back here again in a heartbeat-- so good! read more
