I would leave no stars if I could.... Never order from Postmates... we were missing food, overcharged and when we called customer support, they were unwilling to refund us for the overcharge, and they also would not transfer our call in order to speak to a supervisor. We asked for reference numbers or a confirmation number for our recorded issue and transaction and were told that they could not give us any of that information. Also, our food arrived stuffed in an old dirty backpack and our post mates driver had to remove it all to put it back in the to-go bag just to give it to us. Not one to leave reviews or bad ones at that...but after my experience last night I want everyone aware of how awful their service/customer service is. I got notified that my order was on its way after the 15 minutes had passed that they said it would take we tracked where the driver was...going the opposite way of our home. I messaged the driver making sure they were okay and knew where they were going since I saw they were going the opposite way. They responded "yes, sorry they took a while to be picked up and waited in traffic for a while" remind you its a Sunday at 4:30 and we don't live in a area with "traffic". Blamed it on the GPS and arrived to our home with our food over an hour after the delivery time another reminder we live 12 minutes away from the restaurant. Our $50, hour late delivery for 2 hamburgers and a medium fry from 5 guys was cold. When I contacted Postmates about the unsatisfactory in their driver and experience they gave me $3...$3! needless to say we will never order or refer postmates to anyone! read more

I placed an order that did not get delivered, though the driver marked it as delivered. I contacted Postmates through the self serve app which obviously just follows automated resolutions and opted for a credit because my mom really wanted the food that she ordered. The order was delivered successfully but now I have authorizations on my CC for both orders which makes no sense since the entire replacement order was covered by the "credit" to my account while the total was $0. I know that it will fall off eventually but the 2nd authorization makes no sense and there is no one to speak to about the experience of the first nondelivery and the extra 45 min I had to wait for a redelivery. Worse than zero stars. I ordered groceries from a store that uses Postmates for delivery. They delivered my groceries to another address, and that woman didn't receive her groceries either. The store attaches a receipt with the customer's phone number so she called me to ask if I had her groceries. The Postmates delivery had not arrived yet at my house so I went outside to meet him and told him about the error. He looked at the bags and acknowledged that he had hers, so I thought he'd go back to deliver her groceries and retrieve mine to deliver to me, but he did neither. He just left and neither of us got what we had already paid for online. We have both asked to be reimbursed and the store has told us that Postmates agreed to reimburse us both, but Postmates has apparently lied to the store, and told them they already reimbursed both customers. Neither of us have received the promised refund on our credit cards, but Postmates continues to lie, saying that they already issued the refund. Both the other customer and I continue to contact the store's customer service department to ask for their help, and we've agreed that if we can't get this resolved, we're going to contact the local tv stations' consumer complaint programs for help. I checked other sites for customer reviews of Postmates and there are many complaints with many warnings to never use this very sketchy service. read more

Ordered a mesquite chicken from Quiznos. They sent me wheat bread and chicken. WHEAT BREAD AND CHICKEN...... I did not ask for that dry sandwich. Then when I email they send a general email saying "Thank you for letting us know about your concerns. Rest assured that we take your feedback seriously. We'll be sure to share your experience with all the right people and do all that we can to improve. I ordered through Postmates on New Year's Eve at 5:30 PM. They let me know it was going to take almost 2 hours to get my food which was fine. I watched the driver go to the restaurant at the appropriate time within a minute of a driver getting to the restaurant my order was canceled. I immediately emailed the company and got a stupid reply back saying they were sorry they didn't have any other Postmates available and they gave me a five dollar coupon. Now this is New Year's Eve night the last day of a really horrible year for most of us and they not only tell me my orders canceled but if I want to get anything else there's no post mates available. I've asked the company many times to tell me what actually happened, I think either the post mate picked up my order and sold it to somebody else or they liked what I ordered and decided to keep it for themselves. By this time, it's almost 8 PM. I can't order from anybody for delivery because it's going to take hours to get anything. I got more stupid emails from the company and I called the company and I asked for a manager to call me back. It's been four days and I've never gotten a call back. On top of it all when I called and spoke to somebody they -said they were going to give me a $10 credit towards my next purchase which was better than the five dollar credit they initially said however I ordered again and picked it up myself and they had lied there was only a five dollar credit. I am choosing not to do business with this company anymore - not only do they let me down but other people that I needed to feed. It is their responsibility to hire people that will follow through and that do not sell your food to somebody else. I talked to the restaurant that I ordered from and they said that apparently a lot of that goes on. They have to manually check that the person picking up the order is the right person. I have never been so disappointed from a company that I have worked with for many years. I don't think they take us seriously and in my case, I don't think they really care. I understand charging tax, but the receipt listed TAX AND FEES, with no explanation of what the fees are. We were charged for the delivery. When we contacted Postmates regarding the charge for the delivery fee, we were credited the incorrect amount. Again we had to contact them. When asked what the FEES were that was listed as TAX AND FEES, no explanation. Also was not charged for the 2 combo meals, instead we were charged as all individual burgers, sides and beverage. Did not receive order! Work in an office that has front office staff during operating hours. When I received the text that order was being delivered, I also went upfront to wait. Driver never showed up. Contacted Postmates to report order never received and was told he waited over 5 minutes and left and that I was charged in full for order and delivery fee. I even waited and had another employee go out the the elevator in case he had problems locating our office. HE NEVER CAME TO OUR FLOOR or suite that was on the order. Not only did my order take 2and a half hours to get to my house, there were items missing and the food was ice cold. When I contacted costumer support they said "unfortunately we cannot re-order these items for you but we're going to make sure this doesn't happen in the future". When I had missing items using DoorDash, I told them and they credited me the money no problem. This is a terrible delivery service if you can't even trust that if you get the wrong order, you will not be compensated. I will never use this again. read more

Am out money and time (which is worth money) trying to deal with Postmates & Postmates customer service. I would give negative stars if I could. They never delivered my food, credited me less than the amount I spent (saying they couldn't reimburse me or even credit me on the app for the tip, even though I never received an order), & then bullshitted me about 20 times pretending they'd called me from customer service, taking a couple hours worth of my time and never actually calling me. I paid for a $9.99 membership w/ this app and never received food (the second time I tried to order they said "your order is on its way" and 45 minutes later told me they didn't even have a driver to deliver it) and am out at least $12.40 in actual money plus a couple hours worth of my time. In the end, after about 20 (or more -- seriously) fake identifical emails from Postmates "customer service employees" with different names saying they'd tried to call me (I never received a call and kept requesting one), they said they couldn't do any more for me. Waited 30 mintues to talk to a completely clueless representative who explained to me that the deliver must have taken my food and explained that the company had a policy of driver STEALING food 10 times before being released from the company. Offered 3.99 credit forwards next delivery. Demanded full refund, offered more delivery credits, expressed that I WILL never use this company again and want my money back. My wife wanted vietnamese and I Mexican so I ordered from two different restaurants within a couple minutes of each other. After an hour postmates sends me a text saying the vietnamese resturant is not making orders currently and I will be refunded. About 45 minutes later I get a call from the driver who was at the Mexican restaurant and she said they no longer make my item. I said cancel my order, it's been 2 hours since I placed it. The driver cancelled my order so I thought. At 9:30 PM I get a knock on the door, it's a postmates driver with my food from the Mexican restaurant. I had already fixed a meal and moved on. He said he was so sorry and would cancel my order. I've reached out to postmates for a full refund and they will not give me my money back. They are a bunch of thieves. They charged me the full price. Why would I use a free delivery code if it was for pick up!? If the service and customer relations weren't terrible, then it will be the site itself. Hold crap, people. I never signed up for Unlimited, and they signed me up themselves. As soon as I realized I was charged for it I unsubscribed and deleted the app. Then I see another charge. I go onto the website and see that I am not subscribed. So how the heck was I charged? I take my card off the website (this has been going on for several months now) AND SOMEHOW THEY STILL HAVE THE NERVE TO CHARGE ME! Unbelievable! Any attempts to reach out to the company are automated replies and incredibly late responses when you finally get SOMEONE to answer your emails, and then they act like they never read your response in the first place so you email them back and wait another month for a decent reply. I had to cancel my card and get a new one so they wouldn't charge me anymore, and thankfully not too late, otherwise they would have CHARGED ME AGAIN and then given me an overdraft fee on top of it! So if your card is on file and you somehow got subscribed to it, get a new card now or they'll keep charging you. read more

I recently had a horrible experience with customer service. I live in a ten unit apartment building and very clearly on my address is my apartment number, I also add it to the delivery notes. Twice my food was delivered to a different apartment. The first time my neighbor gave me my food and the second time everyone said they didn't have it yet it had been delivered. Another time I was delivered an entirely different order from what I paid for. So the last time I ordered I ordered two meals and two strawberry drinks and was given two horchatas (I have a milk allergy) and a different order from mine. so of course I reported it and was told that they could not help me after reviewing my account history. So I was stuck with food I didn't order and two large drinks that I was allergic to. I sent pictures of my order as well as pictures of what I was given wand was still told that I wasn't getting my money back, I spent over 50$ I will never do business with them again. read more

This past Sunday I placed an order and an hour later had heard nothing about it and when I finally contacted the actual Merchant they had not yet "found a driver to deliver the order" so I told them to go ahead and cancel the order. They gave me no problem so I then went to postmates and cancelled the order and THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE ORDER and of course THERE IS NO WAY TO ACTUALLY SPEAK TO A PERSON WHEN YOU HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THEM, but when you look thru their FAQs they state that if an order is "being prepared" when cancelled you are charged so they conveniently mark it as such promptly even though as I stated before when I contacted the Merchant they clearly advised me that they would not begin prepared the order until a driver accepted the order. Still trying to get my $38.71 back for food I never received. read more

I used Postmates for the first time. They changed my order receipt three times. I originally agreed to pay $48.00 charge for my $36 order. After placing the order I get an alert from my bank stating the pre-authorzation hold for $57.95. Check order and was advised the hold comes off within 24 hours. After my order was received the receipt changed again to $73.84. Contacted them and was advised the merchant price was different tjan what was on the app and it they attached a final bill for $61.03. Sent another email asking questions. I woke up this morning with another alert from my bank. They changed the prep authorization from $57.95 to $73.84. I tried to go back into the app and it wouldn't let me access anything until I agree tip which would bring the bill to over $80 with the lowest tip. I had to indicate a tip to exit that screen. So I put one penny. Why would I pay over $80 for a $36 meal? My bank will be dealing with them. I screenshoted the different receipts. read more

Every time I sent an email, the same pre written reply was sent back by yet another agent, saying sorry for the frustration....frustration! I wanted my money reimbursed. Horrible delivery service. They were 40 minutes late (obviously the food was cold then) and didn't refund my money and didn't take responsibility for the situation. The food was picked up on time but somehow arrived 40 minutes after the delivery window. I live only 10 mins away from the restaurant so that was just ridiculous...plus they charge crazy-high fees for delivery service compared to the other companies (not to mention additional "surge" charges like Uber). I've had problems with practically every order I've placed through them (wrong food, late deliveries, etc.) Customer service is only through email and is not helpful at all, you just get "canned" automatic email responses. Would recommend using any other delivery service BUT them. read more

I ordered in advance for an office party. The food was made, then after about 10 minutes after the time frame I scheduled the food to be delivered the order for over $300 of food was canceled by Postmates. I was left without food for our office party as all other places would take over an hour to deliver. DO NOT rely on Postmates they will screw you over just because the a driver didn't feel like picking up an order that Postmates had committed to. My money was refunded but in reality they should also pay me $100 for time in dealing with this issue and another $100 for the shut down of the party. Terrible service. My order was incorrect with missing items. I reached out to postmates customer service and they were of NO help. They issued a tiny credit to my account, which did not even cover less than half the order. They simply refused to help or issue a refund. Poorest customer service and no regard for their users. Not only was my order wrong and inedible, but the customer service I got for it was of ZERO help. Never ordering from here again. This is an absolute mockery of everything related to customer service. They charge exorbitant amounts for delivery fees and "service charges" without telling you what the charges actually are, and more than 70% of the time they never get the order right. I just ordered a meal for 3 from Panda Express through Postmates, and when it arrived it was a complete joke. Not only was my order completely wrong, having only received the Cream Cheese Rangoon out of everything that I ordered, but the Rangoon was completely burnt. Additionally when I went to dispute it on their website I find the order had changed without any notification to me, or any consent from my part. They take advantage of an absolutely terrible situation with Covid-19 and they don't even have the decency to have an actual customer service number. So in short, go pick your food up, order take out, do something, anything but give these thieves your money. They are a perfect example of EVERYTHING a delivery service SHOULD NEVER DO! read more

Postmates is the worst delivery service I've ever used or tempted to use. I tried once and it told me for over half an hour it was waiting for a Postmates person to respond which I finally had to cancel. If you're going to offer delivery then have a driver available to do so, if you don't have a driver don't allow a person to place an order via your app simply have it as unavailable if that is the case. The second time I ordered I received a message saying your driver is on the way and will arrive in 8 minutes 15 minutes go by and the app still has her sitting at the resturant. In which time, I received a very long message from the delivery person regarding how I should tip due to how they are paid. So I call her she said she is on the way turning down my road which means she should be here in 2 minutes tops. So I go to wait outside, 10 minutes she isn't here, she finally arrives not in the vehicle states on the app, my food is cold due to it being almost 30 minutes since it was picked up and it is leas than a 10 minute drive. If I could give 0 stars I would. Negative 1 might be better. I've used postmates for about a year and it's been a disappointment for all 365 days. I will actually be taking legal action against this company this week to recieve all the refunds I have not gotten since January of last year amounting in over 200$ worth of missing items. This is a pathetic excuse for a delivery service and I'd highly advise using a different service. Literally all of them are better. From customer service to delivery time and food quality upon arrival. I've even had a driver leave after delivering my order. Noticed I didn't get my beverage and looked to see my beverage still in the driver's cup holder as he entered his vehicle. The blatant disrespect of this company is overwhelming and will not continue any longer. I gave you all notice I will be taking legal action against you this week upon return of my attorney. My co-worker and I ordered food and had to wait an hour for it, only for it to come completely wrong and missing food. I tried to stop the delivery guy to confirm the order and all he did was say "No it's all there" and walked away. Terrible customer service. There is no way to contact them other than email which is ridiculous. We called the restaurant and the manager said post mates messed the order up. They made sure to charge us for what we ordered but didn't make sure we got what we ordered. Post mates is obviously ran complete idiots. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. read more
