We had a wonderful visit today, I've been coming here since I was a kid and it has the same nostalgic feeling when you walk into the door. It has a cozy and comfortable feeling to it and is the perfect place to come and eat. I decided to have the French toast and my mom got the waffles we asked for a side of fruit and it was perfectly portioned and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and made our experience one not to forget. Amazing service! We will definitely be back in the future! I would highly recommend this diner if you guys are looking for a good breakfast or lunch spot.

Taking the older family members in my life down memory lane, to a diner and Burlington New Jersey where they lived in the 30s. they had a great time and so did I. Golden Dawn diner is a real New Jersey diner! The decor is updated however it's still the standard diner style seating and bakery area. We loved it. Since my initial visit I have been back twice to try various meals and I'd liked them all so did the family. Please make sure to ask for the rolls as they are complementary however you must ask. Oh boy you will be glad you did! They are too kind one has a light cheese filling the other has a light cinnamon filling I prefer the cheese but either one will work. I love liver and onions a diner is one of the few places I can get it. They do a really good job with the liver and onions, burgers and the fries are awesome I generally don't like bigger fries but these are pretty good. My cousin who likes meatloaf was happy. Fun day and good food!

It's my first time here for brunch at Golden Dawn Diner. I'm having a BLT with fries. It was so delicious . The service was excellent and fast paced too. I like this joint a lot. I recommend anyone I know to come here and have breakfast, brunch or even dinner and enjoy it in a date or a gathering. Also it has delicious vanilla cake, chocolate cake or fudge chocolate cake and strawberry cheesecake too. Yummy. Come on in and get ya BLT ON!! You'll be very pleased!!!

Quite busy in the middle of Sunday, this Golden Dawn Diner in Burlington, NJ, is an institution in this part of South Central Jersey. It has been slinging hash for more than 50 years, specializing in breakfast, brunch and lunch, but with plenty of choices for dinner, too. Prices have gone higher with inflation pressure, but it is still on the lower end of cost as everything rises under the same economic realities. I was there for a morning meal, and quickly ordered their Veggie Lover's Omelette, Hash Browns, Rye Toast and Coffee. The three egger was loaded with onion, green pepper, broccoli, snow pea, mushroom and tomato, with my ask for added feta cheese accepted with a smile from my amazingly attentive server. It was very good, with more variety of ingredients than usual. The potatoes were also a large score, with enough crisply browned surfaces to make me happy. The rye was buttered, yet remained crunchified to the end. The Java was was institutional Bunnomatic, but refilled so often I almost felt compelled to drink more just to keep my server feeling appreciated. She was very good, dropping off fresh napkins with each visit and making sure the requested glass of milk for the coffee was also replenished. To my knowledge, there are three Golden Dawns in this region; in Hamilton, NJ and Levittown, PA, as well as this one. They are all good, and this may be the oldest in the clan, while Hamilton, the newest. Can't go wrong with any of them, especially if you enjoy diner desserts, which are baked in house, large portioned and generally delicious and inevitably fattening.

Happy Thanksgiving !!! Today I decided to start early and pick up food from all my favorite bookmarked restaurants in the area. So starting with breakfast I wanted some French toast. So Golden Dawn Diner seemed to be a great option. Since I started my day early 7am the spot was not too busy. The service was very nice and courteous. Told me what they were most known for and French Toast came up again! Yummy! So I made my choice, 2 French Toasts, 3 scrambled eggs with cheese and some bacon. The plate came out in a timely fashion and oh boy, it looked soooo good! She had advised me that the toast were big so 2 actually did it for me. The food was really good. I wanted to save some for later but not today! I'm cleaning all plates! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

It's an enjoyable diner. Entry is spacious & has a sweet sky light. This place just needs some oldies music playing in the joint. I wish they oldies music. Just hearing neighbors talking about Ft Meyers Florida. So that is my only request! Pac-Man Video game was in the vestibule . Wow! Nostalgic sweetness. It looks quite retro with the old style counter service and seating. Chicken souvlaki was nice. Came with planks. Jamie the waitress is top notch. Authentic accent and charms. She decorated the rice pudding with a whipped cream rose and sprinkles of cinnamon. It is made fresh daily!! It is so delicious!!

French toast was just okay with the packaged syrup :/

Went here for Sunday brunch. Live near here for the past 3 years and always wondered what the food tasted like here being Im from North Jersey and there's nothing but great diners there. The inside is deceptively large and spacious relative to what it looks from outside. My wife and I stood for several minutes until someone finally greeted and seated us. I ordered French toast with home fries and two eggs which came to about $10.00. The French toast was just okay. Looks like some homemade potato bread which was lightly dipped in egg. There wasn't much cinnamon on the French toast but the waitress was able to bring out an extra cup of cinnamon. The home fries were very bland along with the egg. The syrup supplied comes in packets which I personally thing mirrors an air of being cheap. Outside it being cold and thick, it just didn't make anything better. My wife ordered a chicken Caesar wrap with steak fries which came to about $13.00. The meal itself was not worth close to it. The wrap was small and there was so much more lettuce than anything. The fries that accompanied the wrap tasted like grease. I'm a pretty easy person to satisfy however in this case everything aside from the French toast which was only mediocre was subpar. Additionally, our waitress forgot my wife's Long Island iced tea (which by the way was the very first thing she verbalized she wanted to order to the waitress) however because the food was bad, by the time the waitress came back the last time to see if we needed anything else, we were just happy to grab the check instead of reminding of the forgotten drink. Lastly, cashing out at the cash register took 5 minutes as the cashier kept pulling the card out from the reader too quickly. It took her 3 separate attempts, I have to double my bank account to make sure she didn't make duplicate charges even though she promised she had not. Just an overall u pleasant experience and wouldnt recommend coming here to anyone I know and personally couldn't see myself coming back.

I didn't have the pleasure of visiting Dog & Bull before it was renovated, but I visited last night and can't wait to return. My friend and I made a reservation for 5:30 PM (just in case) as we read online that reservations were recommended, but I don't actually think one was needed. When you walk in, it's bright and inviting. The garage doors throughout the property provide a ton of natural light. I can only imagine how lovely it is when they're open in the summer. Additionally, the outside has a nice patio and an area with a fire pit. The restaurant's layout was designed wonderfully! Our server was Alex (Alexandria) and she was the epitome of exceptional service. She checked in on us multiple times and always had a smile on her face when she came over. We really appreciated having her. The baked feta and hummus appetizer was just as delicious as it looks in the photo. The thick pieces of garlic, roasted red peppers, olives, cucumbers and pita bread triangles paired so nicely with the feta. The hummus was warmed up and it looked like the kitchen staff may have torched the top of it. It was phenomenal. Boy do I have notes on the lentil burger - it was 10/10!! I'm not a big bean person and even though this burger had beans in it, it somehow tasted like an actual beef burger. Sounds crazy, I know, but trust and believe it was pure excellence. I added cheddar for an additional charge and upgraded my regular fries to garlic parm fries. Finally, the caramel apple bread pudding... oh my oh my! What a DELIGHT. The top was piled high with a big scoop of frosting. Yes, you read that right. Frosting! Not ice cream! You can taste the apple pieces in the bread pudding. My friend and I wanted to order it twice. It was THAT good. It was easy to make my way to Dog & Bull from Center City thanks to the Septa station located directly behind the restaurant. Street parking also wasn't too bad yesterday. I absolutely loved the experience I had here and will be stopping by again this summer! Thanks, Dog & Bull!

I am not sure if Management has changed but whatever it was / is needs to be addressed immediately for the sake of not losing customers. Asking to be seated at a different table other than the one we were initially seated at (bc it was right by the door and the wind coming in was freezing) was the first red flag because the hostess seemed bewildered and bothered that we wanted a new table despite there being 50-11 other open tables throughout the joint. It literally then took 15 minutes before our server greeted us and it just kept rolling downhill at a faster and faster rate by the minute. Appetizers done before our cocktails arrived, cocktails done before we could order our entrees, entrees arrived missing key components and it took a good 10 minutes before we could get our server and the minute she walks over she says oh you need the ABC ... ma'am! If you KNEW what we needed why didn't you immediately address it without us having to flag you down???!!!??? And the reason it took 10 minutes to flag her down was because the rest of the floor staff was running around like chickens with their heads cut off ignoring diners trying to get their attention. Oh and the best part was that there was this "figure of management" present ... and I say "figure of management" because he was also ignoring diners and not checking in with them like a restaurant manager typically does ... he was only going to the empty tables cleaning them, slowly adding place settings, rearranging the empty tables ... trying to look busy!!!!! It was honestly comical at one point. We asked for boxes for our food because we still never received all of what was missing despite our server acknowledging it was missing and stating she would bring it back. We literally never ever received it smh . My BF told her this was the worst service we've ever had and it probably didn't even phase her because her attitude overall was just sucky from the beginning. If this is all because of new management they need to go on and get new new management before this place's reputation is ruined.

The restaurant is in this cute little area with shops, restaurants and bars and is a popular destination because when we were leaving out after finishing our meal the place was jam packed and there was at least an hour wait (but no wait when we came in thankfully). It's important to note that this is NOT authentic Mexican food ... but it was pretty good nonetheless. The margarita flight was cute and gave us the ability to try a few flavors out before committing to a large one. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The refried beans were yummy despite them not looking too appetizing but the rice was too soft. Service was good overall and pricing was also reasonable. If we're in the neighborhood again and in the mood for margaritas we may just stop back in.

The inside was clean and the bar area I sat at although small was a decent spot to have a drink and grub. The staff was mostly young kids who were very nice. The chips and salsa they offer were boring. The salsas both roja and verde lacked flavor, mostly spice. The chips were fresh, but thick and bland. I think a thinner homemade style would work better. The first bartender I dealt with was great with the menu. She recommended several menu items. I ended up rolling with the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas at $18 - jumbo lump crab, old bay cream cheese, tiger shrimp, cilantro and lime rice. The lime rice was worthless. It had zero flavor and was dry. The Enchiladas were creamy, but lacked spice and complexity. The tiger shrimp had a delicious grilled, moist flavor and were the best part. My second trip had a newer bartender who was getting her feet wet. She was friendly, but busy familiarizing herself with the bar so I went simple and ordered Birria Tacos - $15 Braised beef, onions, cilantro, lime Oaxaca cheese, consommé. The beef was dry and not tender. The shells were ok. The best part was the lime Oaxaca cheese and the consommé somewhat helped me get the beef down. The portion was very small. Not a good value in my humble opinion. The other patrons were mostly young and enjoying margaritas. I think booze is the draw to this spot. Without it your just getting average Mexican grub. Heck of a location in the Borough, but my visits left me longing for a hot pepper!

We chose to sit inside. My first impression was that the restaurant was lively and bustling, which made it feel like a popular neighborhood favorite. It also appeared to be both family-friendly and pet-friendly, which was a nice touch. For my meal, I ordered the Omelette & Potatoes with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and onions, along with a side of bacon. The omelet itself was good, but the bacon was a major disappointment. It was extremely overcooked--so crispy that it resembled bacon chips rather than strips of bacon. My daughter ordered the Egg White Wrap with turkey sausage, spinach, and feta, along with a side of fresh fruit. She enjoyed it well enough but felt it was just okay. Overall, we both agreed that the food was pretty basic. It wasn't bad and it was nothing to write home about.
