I almost died after eating here. I had the Vermonter turkey sandwich and sweet potato fries and some coffee. Within an hour of leaving the lights became very bright and my stomach was in pain, I thought maybe it was just too much food, greasy fries. But I had descending numbness in my legs and all lights became blinding, extreme light sensitivity and my head was pounding. I got out a gas station and could barely stand and I finally made it home. Next morning I got up and tried to drink water and that's when it hit me. I was vomiting projectile vomiting for 20-30 minutes that turned to dry heaving and then diarrhea too and painful contractions. Then I tried to drink water and couldn't. I couldn't drink or eat anything. It wasn't until the 4th day I could get even a sip of water down I was so tired. I lost 13lbs in 3 days. I'm already a small woman. I thought I was going to die in my bed. I didn't know even what could cause such pain from food I think it was chemical poisoning. I looked emaciated. I couldn't even go to the store because I had pooped myself every time I walked more than a few feet. A friend came and dropped water off for me . I wasn't able to eat till the 10th day. I was able to get some fruit but the moment I tried to eat solid food I started throwing up again and again. I wasn't able to eat real food for 14 days. I finally was able to keep food down. I was living off water and electrolyte drinks for 14 days. I now have a vitamin A insufficiency and every time I stop taking the supplements I have vision problems. It permanently affected my vision. I have no idea what it was. I hasn't eaten anything all day besides an orange and water. I came here because they were open when I was done moving my storage unit. This was the worst food poisoning I ever had I even pooped my bed in my sleep. I was laying on towels ever night so I could just wash them. I wouldn't go here if you value your life or eyes. read more

I stopped in at this diner and left extremely disappointed. We spent $66, and my steak fajitas alone were $25, but they came with mostly onions and peppers and barely any steak. For that price, I expected a lot better. To make matters worse, my pregnant fiancée was served pancakes that were clearly stale. They were hard, dense, and had no fluff to them at all. When you pressed on them, they stayed indented instead of springing back. They honestly felt like they had been reheated rather than made fresh. The biggest disappointment, though, was the staff. Even though it was around 2:40 a.m. and the restaurant was busy, several servers--and what appeared to be a manager--were sitting with customers having loud, inappropriate conversations about sex and other topics that shouldn't be discussed while working. Instead of focusing on the guests and the quality of the food, they seemed more interested in socializing. And I'm pretty sure the guys name is charlee he seems to be the manager. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I hope the owner takes the time to look into what's happening because there are some serious issues that need attention. Classic diner with tons of seating. We came on a weekend for a late lunch and had great service. We sat in a booth towards the back that was a little worse for wear, but it was quiet back there and easy to get to the bathrooms. The key to this old-school diner is keeping it simple. Don't order special dinners. Stick to Pancakes, a BLT, A wrap. 3 people in our party ended up getting very sick from the chicken gravy and spent 2 days on the toilet non-stop. I got it the worst and ended up at the ER hospital to get IV fluids. Please review their most recent report from bucks county inspection where they had multiple violations and were specifically cited for not keeping their gravy at the proper temperature. If I could give no stars or zero stores I would. I got the pork roll egg and cheese egg sunny side up. When I got it there was no yolk. I told the server and he pointed to a DOT. A DOT that's not a yoke. A yolk should be round and of decent size and when you bite into it it should spread on the sandwich. Something has changed and the experience and food quality has greatly deteriorated. 6 of us met for lunch on New Years Eve. 3 of the 6 of us got horrible food poisoning from their gravy (found in the chicken pot pie and on the Hot turkey sandwich). While our server was absolutely wonderful and this review isn't for him because he was fantastic. There was a birthday party going on at the diner (weird choice for a venue but ok) the kids were absolutely awful running around taking chairs from tables playing musical chairs? Parents? What the heck? Kids were rolling on the floor in front of where the servers serve food. It was just terrible. Lord knows this would be the day I rage quit. No kid in my family runs around a restaurant like this. Shame on management for letting the servers deal with those unruly kids and not saying one word the entire time. We had chicken matzo ball soup and it was delicious. We ordered a side of sweet potato fries. We've been here before, but this time the service was not as good. The waitress put us off as we began to order and disappeared afterwards. We were in a bit of a rush and waved her down to order. She never checked back on us and we had to ask other waitresses to get her for us. We asked for a box, 2 cups, and the check. Ooph. Not a clean establishment in the front of the house, so have to assume that the back of the house (kitchen) is also not well kept. That said, I was not leaving my health to chance by eating here. After being seated, I noticed that our table didn't have just one spot of food/grease left behind my the last customer(s) to sit there, but obviously by many, based on the numbers of them and the associated levels of crust, etc. And, that was just the table. The laminated menu had two different spots of food which had not been wiped off, and were again, dried on over some time. One big spot looked like some sort of purplish berry drink or dessert, and the other was dried ketchup. Having a typical, mirrored diner decor inside on many surfaces, it was easy to spot all the dirt, grime, and smudges on those surfaces. Almost forgot that I had to wipe a number of crumbs off of my seat before entering the booth, too. All of that said, my guest and I were seated for about all of two minutes before I said "Let's get out of here and go some place cleaner, because I am not down for taking a chance here." There were only 5-6 cars in the parking lot during lunch time, versus a packed parking lot about a mile and a half down the road at the Golden Dawn, and for very good reason. read more

This is your typical diner in terms of its bakery in the forefront and it's dining area. They were super busy, most of the seats were filled and several families including mine waiting to be seated. We waited about 5 mins. before being seated. They were quick with getting our food out. We ordered an appetizer. It came out along with our main course. That is annoying. I like to have at least 10 mins between appetizers and my main course. I felt rushed the entire time. I had the side salad. It was fresh. I don't like Iceberg lettuce and that is what they use for their salads. Ugh! I prefer romaine, spinach, spring mix rather than ice burg. The asparagus was good but the dishes were somewhat bland. I took my food home and added more Parmesan, roasted some garlic and added a pinch of salt and crushed pepper. Now I could enjoy this meal. Overall, I had a good experience. I've been coming here for quite a few years and the food and service is always good... The waiters and waitresses always take good care of us and made sure that we want for nothing... I must also say that the whole staff is friendly and helpful... We usually come here in the early morning hours / overnight and ask for Jeanie or Cynthia to serve us... They are open 24 hours and you can eat inside or on the patio outside... There are heaters on the patio for the colder months... This is a huge diner with an enormous menu selection. There were many booths and a very large bar. Upon entering, they have a small bakery section in the foyer with different pies and cheesecakes. They looked delicious. They also had the cinnamon and cheese bread that Mastori's in Bordentown was famous for. We were quickly seated and our waiter came right over. He brought a small plate of the cinnamon and cheese bread with butter. The cheese bread was delicious while the cinnamon bread seemed stale and was dry. For apps, we ordered the French onion soup and wings. The soup was very good. I didn't taste the wings but my partner said they were good. They looked over fried, perhaps twice fried, and looked dry. We had the Bristol burger and a Cobb Salad. My partner said the burger was ok but nothing special. The side of steak fries were good but you didn't get many. Had to ask twice for a side of mayo. The Cobb salad was good. Grilled chicken over spring mix with the usual blue cheese crumbles, bacon, avocado and tomatoes. The chicken was a bit dry and the tomatoes were awful but I'm spoiled by Jersey tomatoes. I've never had calamata olives in a Cobb salad, but it was fine. First time having brunch here for Christmas Eve! Surprisingly it wasn't busy or anything like that, we instantly got sat down right when we walked in.
