Never going back…read more Got home and realized how bad the cut was. Took up the fade way too high in the back. Like on the top of my head. I asked for a medium fade. Cut is choppy all over. Lines are clearly visible in the fade. Also they spray the back of your neck with what looked like the pressurized pumps used for filling up car tires. That's about as unpleasant as it sounds. And it was $30. I feel like I could have gone to some cheap chain place and gotten a better cut. This was expensive and awful.

We walked in this place and felt instantly at home. All the barber chairs were full at 40 minutes to closing, but we were seen within ten minutes with no grouchiness about it being so late. Keith asked questions, but I didn't have much to give him by way of specifics, just leaving it by saying we wanted a very manly cut with short sides and some sort of simple design cut into one side. Our before and after photos speak for themselves! For only $15 we experienced a miracle! Just for the fun of the experience we also added a hot towel and shave service for an extra $10. Once inside your greeted by a clean interior with lots of heart. They have a small selection of pay for drinks and a TV while you wait. It's a bit modern and retro. The interior is newly renovated but it has soul and personality. Service wise Joe is top notch and he takes his time and genuinely cares about your hair. He's the owner and also the main barber. He can keep a decent conversation and if you're the type to just enjoy a cut and not say anything he can do that too. You can usually tell how much a barber cares by their clippers and Joe rocks the classic maroon Oster but with a modern twist. You only need one swipe with these bad boys and Joe takes his time. He'll make sure your fade has a smooth gradient and isn't choppy like most other places. Also he can go as low as a 0000 so all the military dudes or ladies can go hog wild. He also does some scissor work for those with thinner hair. Cost wise this place is a nice medium. You get a quality cut that isn't overpriced. For $15 dollars its a good deal. There are places in town that may be more expensive but you get the same quality at a much more affordable price. Call it a $20 with tip and your good to go. At some places when you get your cut and the barber is finally done you kinda have to Grease the wheels a bit. But joe's cuts are the bees knees. Great for a casual work cut or a steamy hot date this place can do both. *walk ins are welcome just as I did, so no need to sweat it and make an appointment in advance but expect a small wait when it gets busy.

Full disclosure: I used to work on the same college campus as Maria, but we weren't in the same department. It was great seeing her after all these years. For $35, I received a full service haircut. They offer service for the whole family. Cash or card is accepted. Tip may be added to Square payments. Maria is very, very gentle - my 8-year-old would love her approach to haircuts & styling.
