I was told they have exactly one technician who handles this type of work, that it would take a month just to get an appointment, and that a $250 diagnostic fee applies before anything happens. The entire call felt like being talked out of coming in, and it worked -- I'm taking the car elsewhere. If the service department doesn't want repair work on older Hyundais, say so directly instead of quoting wait times designed to make people give up. We will not be customers of Potamkin Hyundai going forward. We bought a $66k, 2026 Palisade Calligraphy. I brought our 2026 Ioniq 9 in for service to try y'all out. I was very disappointed in your inability to give this vehicle a charge. The vehicle was already at 60% so it didn't need much. But I was told they would go out of business if they charged everyone's vehicles. I would bring it in maybe every 7-8k miles and apparently this is too much of a cost for y'all to absorb. I have a "Level 2" charger at my house, but it would have been nice to get a partial charge. Mall of Georgia Hyundai has no problem charging my electric vehicles whenever I am there. I will be going back to Mall of Georgia where they treat you like family. Maybe that's why I bought 12 Hyundai's from them. I gave y'all a chance when purchasing the 2026 Palisade Calligraphy (in addition to possible future purchases) and am now unfortunately done with your dealership over something so insignificant. We are just a number at Potamkin, no relationship. Now concerning the checklist for this electric vehicle: Apparently the muffler, exhaust pipes, engine oil, transmission, fuel lines, fuel tank band, fuel tank vapor vent, fuel tank cap gasket, engine air filter, radiator core were all "Checked and ok at this time" even though this "Electric vehicle" has none of these components. I guess there is little wonder why there are so many "One Star" reviews. All I am saying is it would have been so easy for them to get a better review if they were more customer focused. Zero Customer Service After Sale / New 2024 Hyundai Sante Fe Purchase - March 1, 2024 We recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with poor customer service at Potamkin Hyundai in Stone Mountain, and I must say, it was utterly disappointing. Despite reaching out with a thoughtful email on April 19, 2024, to both the President, "Kevin Kolb", and "GM, Ken Hinger" regarding an issue we encountered late evening on March 1, 2024, as well as a request to meet, We have yet to receive any form of acknowledgment, consideration, or a written response as of 4-26-24 eod. It's disheartening to realize that our business, which we thought was valued,( Purchased 2024 Hyundai Sante Fe) seems to mean nothing to this dealership. The lack of communication and clear disregard for customer concerns since March 2, 2024, the day after our purchase, is simply unacceptable. The issue at hand was a direct fault and misrepresentation of facts related to our deal by the dealership (B.Williams and C. Hatch), yet they have chosen to ignore it entirely, despite our many attempts to communicate with them (Basil Williams) in person and in writing. We expected better from a reputable dealership like Potamkin Hyundai in Stone Mountain considering we started this process positively online with "Cedric Hatch" in January 2024, but it's clear that their commitment to customer satisfaction is nothing but a facade. It's appalling to see such negligence in a business that relies heavily on maintaining good relationships with its customers. We strongly advise anyone considering doing business with Potamkin Hyundai to reconsider your options, you may not get the "service or deference" one should expect. Beware of their bait and switch scams! They advertise vehicles on their website as 'on sale' with the price discounted a few thousand dollars, but you'll never actually be able to buy it at that price because once you get into the office they bring a price sheet showing add-ons of several thousand dollars for 'optional things' that are not yet installed. They tell you these things are already installed and you have to pay for them, but they're not listed on the window sticker... (google https://monroneylabels.com/ to understand what the sticker is there for and what must be on it....hint: optional equipment needs to be on the sticker if already installed). For example, they add Optional things to the contract like 'edge guard', which is just a piece of clear thick tape that folds around the edge of the doors so the paint doesn't chip, which adds $700 alone, and then other ridiculous and unnecessary items that most buyers would never want or buy. When questioned about it, the sales manager says, "We can add anything we want onto the price of the cars we sell." I purchased a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy from a super salesman, J.R., and had a similar positive experience from Tiger, Sales Manager. My perception of Potamkin Hyundai went south when we fad a seat warmer experience that has taken four times in the shop. Last Friday we picked it up, hoping now that it is repaired; however, we were told if it wasn't, warranty would no longer be used. The car has tens of thousands of miles left in warranty but the tech in service told service advisor that it wouldn't be covered under warranty anymore if this didn't fix the problem. What kind of service and warranty can be deleted when a service tech who worked on it gets to make the "call"? Buy from Potamkin if you want, but don't expect the same quality of service that sales department provided. When talking with assistant manager of service, her defensive and argumentative attitude gave me reason to say, "No more Potamkin". The car was delivered to my home. The very first time I drove it It stalled in the middle of an intersection. It took two hours for a tow truck to reach me. However, my car was in and out of this dealership with problems in a week, the last time it was less than a week and had to be towed in. I just got my car back this week, and it still has problems, but it will not be going back to them for repair. They made mistakes, know they did, but never acknowledged or apologized for it. I have purchase 2 car from this location. The first 1 when it was owned by Malcolm Cummingham and my present car a 2022 Venue. I'm in here for my second service which is a 15k oil change. When I get this text saying I have 3 items that need immediate attention. This car has only 15k miles but needs to have fuel induction service, to help with economy, throttle body service, and an alignment. My car is not out of alignment. They are always trying to up sale. Coming up with unnecessary service requirements . This car is still new! With the first service they charged me $90 to remove a plastic bag from the exhaust pipe. I need a simple oil change but they want me to pay an additional $490 in unnecessary services. To top it all off they want $130 for the complimentary oil change that I'm getting right now. I typically do not write these types of reviews but because it was the worst experience we ever had with a dealer. Do not use this dealer. They not only took 2 months to repair a (third party warranty) they made a series of mistakes and tried to blame warranty company. We had to constantly text or call to get updates. We even had to call warranty to ask status which they were waiting on dealership. We basically did the leg work and it like pulling teeth to get answers. If we didn't ask, we didn't get answers. They wouldn't offer a loaner which I get with warranty but no help from them at all! Worst customer service! If you want something done, you have to do it yourself. They said they gave us a discount from difference but I know someone familiar with how dealerships work and they could of absorbed the difference but refused.
