I had never even heard of this place before, but boy, am I glad I decided to grab a sandwich. The menu was easy to read and the gentleman behind the counter knew his sandwiches. I decided on the veggie sandwich on white and did not regret this decision. I don't know what they do to these sandwiches, but I'm glad they do it. The veggies were fresh, the bread was soft, and it tasted SO GOOD. The service was on point and this was my favorite place in Cincy because the folks behind the counter were just happy and smiled a lot. In this time of rudeness, it was refreshing to see four happy people! The restaurant was clean and the napkins and other items were stocked fully. Please bring PotBelly to East Tennessee. Late lunch check in. My other favorite soup And sandwich spot. Had the garden veggie soup and a skinny turkey avocado. I didn't get the milkshake. Bebe. But I did get the oatmeal Chocolate chip. Now the key is I walked for 20 mins after I ate the lunch then only ate half the cookie for a snack. I say that was a good compromise. LOL read more

Came here for a quick lunch and I ordered the half tuna salad sandwich and half soup combo. The bread was freshly baked and the tuna salad was a bit dry, but it was delicious. Some of my friends had mentioned that this restaurant was good years ago, but honestly subs didn't sound that appealing so I wasn't in a rush to try it. To me, a sub is usually a sub, all good but none amazing. My husband and I were in the area and we were going to eat at Ford's but the line wait too long. I'm so glad it was or else I wouldn't have tried this place and it's delicious! I chose the Wreck and my husband chose the Cubano. Both were great, with the highlight being their peppers. They are what takes these sandwiches from good to great. They are so good that they even sell them in jars. They are sweet and only mildly spicy. They also have different types of Voodoo chips, made in Louisiana, which I have never tried. They were really good and different, which is nice. Overall, compared to other sub restaurants, this one is a 5 star. I wish I would have tried it years ago. I wish I would have tried this place years ago! read more

I had a great experience at this location. The food is what you'd expect from Potbelly but the team behind the counter made all the difference. It seemed like one of the guys was a recent hire so our order took a bit longer which was not a problem. Rather than giving the new guy shit for his mistake, the team was supportive and encouraging. Went for lunch in between meetings. The restaurant was packed but no line. Was able to find parking fast despite rainy weather. The man who took my order was extremely friendly which is always super important to me. I ordered the turkey sandwich, big, with provolone instead of Swiss. I got oregano, mayo, and pickles on my sandwich. No soup or anything today. Since it was just me in line, it didn't take long. The young lady on the other end did put what I asked on. I did ask for a few extra pickles and she didn't add them. It was a nice portion and was still flavorful. I like that they have the rewards and often have specials for those who go regularly. The staff is friendly and fast. I was probably in line for 5-7 minutes and that is because the food goes through their stove. Overall, good experience and I will return for more. read more

For years and years people have been telling me that I had to try the sandwiches at Potbelly. It's not that I never wanted to before, it just never happened. I finally got around to checking one out a couple weeks ago and I would have to say..I understand the hype now. I came in for lunch on a random weekday early afternoon and the place was pretty packed. It seems like all the restaurants in this Rookwood shopping area are always busy no matter what time of day or night. The set-up here is similar to other sub shops. You approach a counter, choose what you want off of menu boards and customize your sub down the line as it's being made. I decided to try the Italian with hot peppers and a side of mac and cheese (which I had heard a lot of great things as well). This was a good solid Italian sub. I got it grilled (I wholly prefer hot subs over cold). The meats and cheeses tasted fresh, the bun had a nice crisp taste to it, and the hot peppers really provided a nice kick to the sandwich. Did it absolutely blow me away? No not really. I might have built my expectations a bit too high from all the great things I had heard. This was definitely a good sandwich tho. I would for sure go and try one again at some point. The mac and cheese was pretty tasty too. The noodles were this, the cheese was hot and creamy. A really good side dish that complimented the sandwich nicely. The staff here that I encountered were all really friendly and helpful seeing that I hadn't eaten at a Potbelly before and needed to be guided through the processes there. Some of the nicer employees I've encountered lately. So yes, I did enjoy Potbelly over and I wouldn't hesitate to go back and have this sandwich again or try another one. Side note, Potbelly being so good finally ended a really bad streak of food/experiences I have had at all the restaurants in this plaza. So, good for them! It feels crazy to give a chain sandwich joint 5 starts, but I think this place deserves it. The service is awesome, all of the workers are always super friendly. They always let me make up my own sandwich and don't get aggravated with me. I think the quality of the food is awesome. Their bread is fresh and the meat quality is good. They have a few different bread options, including the option to "skinny" your sandwich by scooping out some of the bread. I love the topping options, and that you can get a small side of the hot peppers. They also have a good chips and bottled drinks selection! Bonus: they have awesome shakes and malts that come with two cute little mini cookies on the straw. I've been coming here for almost ten years now and I still think they do a great job. If you're in a pinch for a quick bite, I definitely think this is a solid option for the Hyde Park/Rookwood area. read more

I should preface this with letting you all know that if I had to pick something to eat, sandwiches would usually be in last place. I'm not a huge sandwich eater/ lover- but there are sandwich places that make me feel nostalgic (ie: jimmy john's). Anyway, I had expectations coming here and had no idea it was famous for baked deli sandwiches. I was expecting delicious BBQ pulled pork, southern side dishes, etc. So I think I set myself up for disappointment with my preconceived notions, unfortunately. The food is always delicious, BUT, I used DoorDash to order a bowl of soup. And the soup container was half full. This normally wouldn't bother me if I were ordering in person, but since I was already getting all of the charges from door dash it just came off as potbelly trying to give out less because it's less likely that customers will dispute it through doordash. Potbelly is one of the most under rated take out spots! It's a perfect on the go option and the ability to order ahead makes it super convenient! The workers at this location are always very friendly and helpful! I love the versatility that potbelly offers-salads, soups, sandwiches, Mac and cheese. Their lighter options are delicious, I personally love the skinny TKY and the uptown salad. If you're looking for something sweet they also have delicious fresh baked goods--Sheila's dream bar is delicious exactly as it sounds, a dream of ooey gooey goodness! Going to give it a four star but maybe four and a half. The sandwiches are really quality and since which wich went out of business this is pretty top or about the best on par with firehouse. Potbelly easily ranks up there with one of the top chain sandwich spots. The food is always consistent and delicious. They aren't reinventing the wheel but their sandwiches are always on point. I'm a big fan of the roast beef , the Italian, and the Mediterranean with chicken added. Any place that has hot peppers automatically gets an extra star in my book. They don't have much for sides, (chips, soups, etc), but for a quick inexpensive lunch this is a great choice. TIP: If I have one gripe about Potbelly is that if you order water they give you a 2 oz. cup which is enough for approximately 4 sips of water. (I never understood being punished for ordering water) You can buy a bigger cup for 10 cents so I recommend doing that if you're ordering water. read more

There is one guy in particular (I can't remember his name) that is awesome, very funny and outgoing. However, lately my co-workers and I have experienced some subpar service from this store. One of my fav sandwich places. Their hot peppers are the best...its spicy and sour. They sell a small jar of hot peppers for $7. If it's ur first time here, u should try the Italian sub on wheat bread. They also bake freshly made Oatmeal chocolate chip and brownies....which are delish. This is my first time at a Potbelly in years! I am so glad I am back, because this place is great! I have never seen a sandwich shop, or really any restaurant, where ALL staff members were kind, friendly, and truly seemed to care about me as a customer. I was a little unsure how the ordering process went, but when I come back I will know for sure. The overall quality of the food is superb. You can't get this at Subway. The atmosphere of this location is also enjoyable, and I like the decor Potbelly has gone with. I will definitely be back, and maybe next time I will try a shake! read more

I have broken my own rule and I'm not going back! It is so hard to find a good salad - like a fill me up, make me feel happy and healthy, scrape the bowl - good. But the Uptown Salad with the potbelly vinaigrette haunts my tastebuds and keeps me coming back for more and more and more. I like to throw a few of their spicy hot peppers on it, because I'm weird like that. I also love their sandwiches, especially the grilled chicken and the mushroom melt...again, load the hot peppers up for me. This is your typical stand in line and order, bus your own table, refill your own soda chain restaurant, but the workers at this particular location seem to really enjoy their job and are always joking with each other. And finally, don't skip the cookies, I think chocolate chip oatmeal cookie is one of my favorites ever. Plus they do deliver to the hospital - so that's a big bonus in my book. read more

Great sandwiches, but getting too many "a wrecks" may give you a legitimate potbelly. Potbelly has a variety of great sandwiches. While the "a wreck" is the most unhealthy, it is the one I get the most. There are plenty of other options for non-meat lovers, too. The sandwiches are first toasted and then a friendly sandwich maker will whip on all the sides you want. I think something unique to these sandwiches are the hot peppers they put on. I always ask for just a little because they can be a bit too spicy for me sometimes. They also offer milk shakes which I've heard are good, but I have never tried one. Got the "A Wreck" Sandwich and enjoyed every minute of it! I should have order the "Big One" size as the "Original" was just a little on the small side for me! Downside was that there was no one to clean off table after people left so you had to clean it off yourself!
