The incompetence at Potestio Brothers is so bad I now drive an extra 35-40 minutes to go to the next JD dealership to the east. I'm really not sure which is worse - the service dept - which can't work on larger ag tractors (but they'll charge over a thousand dollars and hold it for several weeks only to eventually tell you they can't fix it) or the parts dept - which is completely lost and bewildered trying to find parts (you must know exactly what you need and in many cases have the jd part number or they're bewildered with where to start - it seems most in there don't even have a basic understanding of the various engine types or machine models produced by JD) 1 or 2 guys behind the counter that are knowledgeable and paid well are much better than 6 or 7 behind the counter that prob can't change their own oil (I'd willingly wait 15-20 mins in line to speak to someone that's helpful) The service dept needs a service manager that understands basic engines and problems (and can talk with both the mechanic and the customer from an experienced perspective). I had a very positive experience with Potestio Brothers Equipment. I have an older Craftsman snowblower that hasn't run in two years. My neighbor recommended Potestio Brothers so I figured I would give them a try. What was nice about their service is they do pickup and delivery. I live several miles away from their store and have no way of transporting my blower to their location. There is a fee but well worth it for me to have had this option. Communication was top notch and I was informed along the way of what they needed to do and the cost to make it happen. The cost was actually less than what I was anticipating which was definitely a win. My blower was returned in perfect working order and I'm now ready for the next snow season. read more

I needed a part for lawn tractor broken down in back forty of my property. Spoke w Counter guy @ Parker store and he promised (wo fail) to send part to CS location and have it there by next morning. I drove 1-1/2 hrs one way to CS location for part & when I asked about it I got the "deer in headlight " look. Well, it was not there and after a heated exchange @ CS location they called Parker location & Parker store said they would ship overnight to my shipping address. Ok- I'm thinking that's the LEAST they could do after lying & making me waste nearly three hours driving time ( + gas) which I don't have to waste. Long story short part never showed up --lied to again twice. What a clown car full of a**holes!!! I then contacted 4Rivers eqpt for part & was treated w professionalism and integrity unlike the other ass wipes! I would highly recommend 4Rivers for all your John Deere needs! read more

Kept our lawn mower for months, charged us hundreds for a tune up, and didn't do anything to it. Our neighbor recommended Potestio Brothers when our lawn mower needed a tune up. I called them in the spring to see if they could sharpen the blade, change the spark plug and clean out the hardware a bit. They said yes, and picked up the mower from our house the next day. I thought that was easy and convenient. Mid summer, we still didn't have our lawn mower back. I called them once in a while to see if it was ready and they kept saying no. We finally hired someone to mow our lawn for us, weekly. Finally at the end of July, I called them and they seemed surprised that they still had our lawn mower. Then, they said "Yep. It's ready. We'll drop it off." We had it the next day. I paid over $100, nearly $200 for the work and the pickup and dropoff of the mower. We didn't use it because by this time we had hired someone to mow our lawn. A month later, our friends needed a lawn mower and I let them borrow ours. It wouldn't start no matter how much they tried. It was too late to call Potestio Brothers at this point, I figured. A total waste of time and money and I still have to figure out if I want to learn how to change the spark plug and clean up the lawn mower distributor myself or call someone else before this spring. read more

My husband and I had ordered a zero turn mower from Lowe's, and had two issues delivered with nonstop problems for 2 months. We heard about Potestio and had the exact same zero turn at a fair price delivered not even two weeks later! Highly recommend looking local for these larger purchases instead of Lowe's and Home Depot, it may cost a small amount more but totally worth it! The gentleman working the parts counter and the gun counter were helpful, but both me and my grandfather made eye contact with two different employees. I am new to the ranching game. Having bought a little ranch over by Rifle, I needed equipment for haying and feeding and snow removal. I have never met a more honest, caring group of people in my life. When they delivered the tractor and other items to our new ranch , the owner, Bill Potestio was driving the semi with the tractor on it. I bought a piece of property, and stopped in to check out what John Deere had to offer for compact tractors. I was quickly and warmly greeted by Austin O, who is a stand up guy. He reviewed all the options, and started me on my own path to finding what would fit my needs, and budget, the best. Austin gave it his all, but ultimately I ended up going with a different brand for this purchase. I bought a lawnmower ($16,500 Cash!) +string trimmer & blower in late June 2023. The John Deere mower has been pretty good until I tried to schedule the first service. Just called and got transferred around multiple times until an unpleasant voice told me to call back next week because the service manager was out. The Kress blower didn't work at all (defective) & the Kress string trimmer was a cheap piece of garbage. Of course, Potestio doesn't stock parts even though they are the only local company that sells Kress Crap! This seems to be the going rate at Potestio Brothers. I'm incredibly patient yet I am completely frustrated. I am sympathetic for Vendors that are short staffed but it shouldn't be the customers burden. This company has embraced bad service and made it part of their operating $trategy. Another example would be the Kress power tools I bought from them. After returning a defective tool, it took them 10 more days and several phone calls to ship a new one, even though they promised I would receive a new one immediately ( because of course, they my didn't have a replacement in stock). I am quite disgusted at their customer service policies. I am forced to become angry and unpleasant to get what I paid for. Avoid this Vendor!!! read more

If I could give them ZERO STARS, I would! They operate a UHAUL rental out of here and one of their employees, Zane, scratched the bumper of my 2020 Infiniti with the tongue of the trailer I rented. I submitted photos of Zane, the damage, the requested photos to UHAUL's insurance company (REPWEST) and they denied the claim. I actually witnessed Zane damage my vehicle and had to tell him to stop! The REPWEST employee, Jackie G., never had anybody physically come meet with me or look at my vehicle. How the hell do you make a decision without reviewing everything Jackie?!? I have sent am email disputing their decision as I have a recorded phone conversation with the employee, Zane, admitting to damaging my vehicle. I even have a recorded conversation with Zane's UHAUL supervisor! BEWARE OF UHAUL AND DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND YOUR PROPERTY. I visited Potestio to pick up a U-Haul trailer I needed to move some furniture. The U-Haul franchise is what got me there, but I'll definitely be back for other things. Potestio sells a lot of different things - farm/ranch equipment (John Deere), supplies, machine parts, and even guns. I've used U-Haul in many places and the reservation experience is about the same (it is all on the U-Haul website) anywhere you rent from. I'd have to say that this location, however, is one of the better ones. The lot is large and they have a lot available. They have enough staff to help you get going, and the extra space to maneuver a freshly hooked up trailer is always welcome (I don't pull a trailer every day, so I need to brush up on my trailer pulling skills when I do). One important piece of advice is to get there early to pick up your rental. I arrived early on a Saturday and was third in line. By the time the shop opened there were about 10 of us. Everyone was getting ready to get a lot of projects done, and if you are not near the front of the line you may have some waiting ahead of you. Checking in early online does save time at the counter. The shop is not open at night but there is a night drop off if you need to use it. read more

I have had an amazing experience with Russ, David and Bruce. They have always treated me well and done what they say their going to. Terrible U-Haul experience. Stopped in to reserve a truck for later that day. He said no worries, just come back after 2pm. I came back and same person was there. "Do you have a reservation?" he asked.. Went thru the details again. He began to look for a truck. Advised that I could take it but it HAD to be back before they closed at 5pm. I figured I would have more time. He then started to ask for my info, repeating several questions. It appeared he was not 100% there. This process probably took 20-30 minutes of the limited time I had with the truck. No receipt was emailed or provided when I dropped off. I called them to get a receipt and they were unable to help. Referred me to call the 800 number. I called and was put on hold for 30+ min. Thank you so much. Obviously your time is more valuable than mine. Never again. read more

These folks are mean, ornery, slow, and lazy. I've been in a few times for parts and to shop for a chainsaw, and each time I was made to feel unwelcome. Now I willingly drive 45 minutes or more to buy elsewhere. "Detestio" is more like it. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Here's the whole (horror) story... Nov 2018 - Took my mower to have the blades sharpened and the brake repaired (it wasn't holding) Dec 2018 - Sent mower back, the brake was still not holding Dec 11, 2018 - Mower returned to me, brake working, but it's now making a weird noise. Received bill for $503.78 Dec 15, 2018 - Called Potestio Brothers and told them that I thought the bill was a bit too much just to repair a brake, they were nice enough to refund me $170 and that was good with me. May 1, 2019 - Started using the mower again but the mower was making a screeching noise. May 15, 2019 - Called Potestio Brothers and told them about the noise, asking if they could send someone out to check it out so I wouldn't have to have it picked up. They said they would do that. June 2019 - Three Saturdays have gone by and still no one from service has shown up or even called. July 2019 - Called Potestio Brothers again and was told they would have someone call me. Aug 3, 2019 - Still no call and now the mower has stopped working. They would have to expedite the call to the general manager (GM) because my account has been flagged (???) Aug 5, 2019 - Still no call from Jake (the GM). I asked the accounting person what "flagged" meant and was told that my account was a problem because I had "threatened" them to leave a bad review. That was not true. Aug 8, 2019 - I faxed Jake a letter describing my concerns. Jake returned my call only to say that he did not want to do business with me because I was "a liar" and that I had "threatened" to give Potestio Brothers a bad review. End of conversation. As of today (Aug 12, 2019), I now have to take my lawn mower all the way to Strasburg John Deere (28 miles away) to get it fixed when I have already paid Potestio Brothers to fix it. I will NEVER do business or refer anyone to do business with them. And as I can see from their reviews on here already, I'm not the only one who has been disrespected and burned by them. Terrible customer service. Whether you call or go in-person won't make a bit of difference. The first year I moved to the area I was desperate to find someone for at home service. Went in to schedule an appointment and the guy acted put-out. They came and services the mower though and it worked fine. Fast forward to this year. They came to replace mower blades and ever since then, the mower cuts uneven. I've been calling and leaving messages to schedule an appointment or calling and trying to speak to the first person that answers. No luck. Again they sound annoyed. I realize they're busy, but it's no way to handle customers. If a customer leaves a detailed message, you should call them back. If I do find a different service in the area, I'm switching unless things change here. read more

I keep giving them another chance but this is the last time had to take a belt to get a splice to another dealer because they wanted to schedule it for 2 weeks later, they couldn't get to splicing it while I was there buying the splice maximum of 30 minute job!! That's what it took the kubota dealer to splice it. read more

I bought a used tractor in the x500 series with mower and snow blower from Potestio. Never had a tractor before, nor acreage to mow, and multiple sales people were very patient with our many rounds of newbie questions. Changed our mind about getting a new component after initial sale and before delivery and the sales person was efficient about refunding the difference quickly with a pleasant demeanor. So far, one mowing season down and starting winter and very pleased with the used pricing after taking a look at some of the online sites and with the performance of the tractor so far. Most recently got a minimally used weather soft cab from Potestio and was happy to see that the parts department are great and also very professional. I also recently had to get new snow blower skid shoes and the parts department spent as much time as needed to locate the correct bolts and skid shoes and I didn't feel rushed even though relatively small purchases and they were reasonably busy. (Very enthused to have a source of expertise when learning new maintenance on the tractor after having tried to get the same skid shoes unsuccessfully off of my default store, i.e. Amazon and having their partner store send the wrong ones that i had to return.) read more

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. When I got the updated invoice showing the refund of the of the charge for non-existent shop supplies, the associated Colorado sales tax had not been refunded along with the overcharge. I called again and again I was told that the shop charge goes automatically on every bill - the software does it - its not their fault...at least that is what they say. Apparently they were going to keep the sales tax even though they had not made a taxable sale. I asked that the sales tax be refunded since there was no taxable sale. They grudgingly agreed to refund the tax. Software doesn't so anything unless it is programmed - by people - to do something. Sorry, you cannot blame software for charging your customers for products that are not delivered. Their software and their customer service both need to improve. read more

You would think that one would have no problem finding a good small engine repair shop in Parker. With this being my first spring in Colorado I busted out the lawn mower that had been in storage for eight years and could not get it started. Searched the area for a place to get a quick repair and didn't feel comfortable with the ones I spoke to not to mention the rudeness some of them had when speaking to them over the phone. While Potestio Brothers had a small backlog of repairs I decided to give them a try. They were extremely helpful with the drop off and write up of the repair and realistic about the lead time in getting the mower back. After a week I called to check up on the repair and asked them if they could expedite. They did and the mower was ready that day. They did an amazing job, very thorough with the repair and the explanation of when was required. Was so happy with their customer service on the push mower that I wound up purchasing a John Deere riding mower. If you are in the Parker/Centennial area and need any kind of small engine repair Potestio Brothers should be your only stop. read more

I would give a 0 star if that was an option. Dropped off my Honda lawn mower on June 8, 2016 to repair/replace one wheel, sharpen the blade, change oil, and replace the spark plug. How long did it take for this work to be completed... July 20, 2016! A full 6 weeks!!!!! HALF THE SUMMER!! Not once during this 6 week period did anyone from the service department call me to let me know what was going on with the mower. All correspondences were initiated by me. This isn't the first time I've experienced extremely poor customer service at this location. Several times in the past the parts department counter employees made me feel as if I was bothering them. Their sour attitude causes me to believe that they must really hate their jobs. Lesson learned. I will no longer be a bother to any of them anymore since I will no longer step foot onto their property, and I recommend the same to you. read more

Bought my JD Tractor + Snowblower a couple months ago from Potestio Bros in prep for the snow after 2 seasons using an archaic push model. Snowblowing the driveway has never been easier or safer with my John Deere! Excellent customer service came through with 5 stars tonight when Vince the Service Supervisor stopped by to fix a warranty issue. Thank you Nick!
