Came here for lunch on a non-busy Monday afternoon. It's not too far south down the main beach road. I didn't know much about Tunich but saw 2 for 1 happy hour drinks on a sign and decided to pop in. I ordered the panini and guacamole. My girlfriend ordered the breakfast burrito. For starters, my panini wasn't really a panini so that was a bit disappointing. The bread was not toasted nor was the cheese melted?? The guacamole tasted fresh and the breakfast burrito was very tasty. The food was pretty good apart from my panini. For one sandwich, one burrito, guacamole and two drinks we spent around 50 dollars. Now I know most of the beach area restaurants price points are a bit higher than the town, but after eating at 6 different places along the beach I don't think this was the best value. The prices plus the lack of attentiveness from my server didn't make for the best experience. Also keep in mind this restaurant is cash only. There is a foreign exchange booth right across the street though. Overall... nice setting, decent but overpriced food, poor service. read more

Stopped by for breakfast since it was across our hotel. The food here is really good. We also got juices and they were delicious. My husband got the tropical storm juice & I got the jungle. I kinda wished I got the tropical storm because I really enjoy the taste of passion fruit and his was just a nice combination of passion fruit, orange juice and pineapple. The jungle was also really good. It was a nice refreshing juice with spinach, celery, lemon, and other fruits. For food we ordered the breakfast burrito and chilaquiles... my god we are stuffed and satisfied. Definitely will come back again before we head back home as I wanna try their açaí bowl. A fun small place to grab a bite for breakfast or lunch! The restaurant is across the street from a public beach which makes it very convenient to stop by and go back to the beautiful view. Delicious!! Best shrimp tacos I've ever had! It comes with a jalapeno ranch sauce but isn't necessary. The shrimp are cooked perfectly and with an amazing flavor. Also had the 20/20 drink which was also delicious. The ginger offsets the powerful flavor of carrots. read more

Some of the best chilaquiles I've ever had - and I dated a Colombian chef for years...whose specialty was, as it turns out, subpar chilaquiles. Been here a few times - Frozen mango cocktail is delicious. Coffee, both iced and hot, is fantastic. Hiram was the greatest and kindest server, as well as the rest of the staff - they're hilarious, friendly, and give great recommendations. Blain, the owner, was also great and a pleasure to speak to. Tunich has good food and is moderately priced. We ordered the chicken and egg chilaquiles and breakfast burrito picture here. The burrito is a bit smaller than an average sized burrito but it tasted good. I also sampled the chilaquiles which contained onions, chicken, choice of scrambled or sunny side eggs on top, tortillas chips, and a quasi tomatoes sauce type over the entire dish. The house salsa is tasty. It isn't too spicy, but spicy enough. Beers are also 2x1 at 40 pesos which equals to $2 for two beers. Despite the restaurant closing early (around 7), we were still able to order drinks. Also, there is WiFi here but it was slowed down while I was here. Overall, Tunich is a good place to stop by while in Tulum. It is right on a strip where everything else is. read more

I went on vacation with some friends and we tried this spot for breakfast on the first morning. It was AMAZING! We had their fresh juices to detox from the night before and we each had something different from the menu. Everyone loved their choice! We left happy and full.
