Having a daughter who needed to get a tooth checked and some minor dental work during Covid was scary especially since I have autoimmune diseases. Great for kids, terrible for parents. They kept insisting I don't have insurance, and would not listen when I politely told them they were calling the wrong number on the back of my insurance card. I'm sorry but how can you not even call a simple telephone number? This happened multiple times. This was not the only type of thing here that made my life much more difficult than it needs to be. They treat adults like garbage. I'm not one of those parents who will put up with anything so my kids get special treatment. Pretty much any dentist can treat adults as well as children. If you're a helicopter parent, maybe this place is for you. I just do not need this kind of stress. read more

It's been two days and my daughter is still happily recalling her experience at this facility. My child enjoyed: the balloons out front, the games in the reception area, the friendly staff, not being alone with new people, songs during her cleaning, getting a picture, her goody bag, and getting a balloon to take home. This was my 2 year old daughter's first visit to the dentist, and it was GREAT! She did cry for being her first time. But the assistants and the dentist were great at keeping her calm. They make the visit go by so smoothly. From the minute you walk through the door, to the minute you walk out you can feel it's a good atmosphere for the kids and there is hardly any wait time. They checked her teeth, gave us some tips, and at the end of her visit she got a balloon, token for a prize and a goodie bag! When we left she was happy! I was surprised when I asked her if she liked it, and despite the crying she said YES! Definitely recommend this pediatric dentistry. read more

This was our first visit here and I could not have been more pleased with everything. My boys are 3 and 6yrs old and did not fuss or cry once. The office and environment was of course very kid friendly. The dental hygienist was very good with keeping the kids distracted and was quick and thorough with their cleaning. FILLING WENT WRONG!! Never again will I ever come here, Dr. Le is NOT professional. So I came here to get 2 fillings done for my 2 year old son. I went in and they took x-rays. The assistant forgets her own safety x-ray apron as she was in the room during the pictures. While we were taking the photos Dr. Le frantically runs in and gives her apron. First red flag. So, Dr. Le tells me that she will be filling my sons cavities. From my understanding, she knew what she was doing and had everything under control. The assistant tells me to lay down and put my son on top of me. Dr. Le quickly corrects her and tells her that he needs to be laying on his own. Second red flag. My son starts crying. The assistant then directs me to hold my sons legs down as they start the procedure. My son was crying the whole time. Not once did she say, NO I am not able to perform under the circumstances that he was crying. She just continued. There were 2 assistants, myself and the doctor. All holding my son down. How traumatizing for my son. Not once did she hesitate to stop. Coming to a pediatric dentistry, I assumed they had experience with kids and would know exactly how to handle the situation. Mind you, my child is 2 years old. Never did she mention oral sedation or any other options. Once we were done, she told me that she will be seeing him in 3 months and wants me to monitor how he is doing because she thinks* she may or may not hit a nerve? My son goes from a cavity, to a temporary filling, to possibly a now root canal or crown, or getting his 2 front teeth taken out. STAY AWAY!! I've been to numerous Pediatric Dentist after this horrible encounter. ALL of them said it was very unprofessional for her to even of started while he was unstable. read more

I picked this office from the list provided by our insurance with no knowledge of them. At our first visit I explained his prior dental experience and the wntire staff was so accommodating and understanding of his condition and made sure my son was comfortable throughout every exam and treatment. I chose PPD based on the reviews here on yelp, and can say that I don't regret it one bit. Our daughter was extremely nervous about her first trip to the dentist. When we walked in, she was given a princess sticker which immediately put a smile on her face. You could hear the other kids laughing from the back. Amanda, our dental assistant came out and gave us a tour of the office before taking us back. She was so patient and comforting for our daughter. At one point, our daughter actually became eager and ready for her teeth to be cleaned. And when she started to cry (really just because she didn't like the taste of the toothpaste), Amanda handled it perfectly. She didn't stop and drag the process out, nor did she push it either. She continued to comfort my daughter, who was fine by the time it was over. She even painted her nails when she was done! Loved the experience here. Everyone was uber friendly, and even though she'll say she didn't like the bubble gum toothpaste, I think that our daughter would say it was much better than she expected, and she actually had a good time read more

All the stuff are super friendly!!! We were welcomed by a nice smile right after we walked in. The nurse was very patient to explain everything. She took my 15 months old daughter a photo and made like a frame with some decoration on it, which was super sweet. Dr.Le was extremely nice too. Dr. Rai is one of the best dentists for kids EVER. She worked on my daughter for major dental work when she was 3 & 4 years old to include extractions and crowns (my baby just had really poor dentition). I traveled from Fredericksburg to Gainesville the 1st time and was so happy this new office opened for a shorter drive straight up & down 95. They really work with you, as the 1st year I had NO insurance and only had a certain amount to work with through Care Credit. I recommend this practice to all parents with kids who have tough dental issues. read more

Everyone here was so nice! The dental assistants were very knowledgeable and very patient. Dr Le was informative but also caring and nurturing to my daughter. The facility itself was clean, spacious, and full of life with the ocean and space themes. There were TVs with movies for kids to watch and each child is given tokens for prizes! I wished my dental office was this awesome when I was a kid! The whole staff was very sweet. My daughter is pretty easy going so I wasn't afraid to take her to her first dental visit, but this place was so welcoming. I've never been to a dental office that would paint my daughter nails for her! On top of giving her several prizes and goody bags as well as a cute photo to take home! First dental visit for our 13 month old, who can have pretty epic meltdowns. First of all, the place is so beautifully designed and so inviting for children. And super happy there was a changing station in the bathroom! The receptionist welcomed us with a sticker for our son, he loved it! Then our hygienist, Amanda gave us a tour of the office and made everything so much less intimidating! She took our baby's picture to commemorate his first visit and he got a balloon. We loved the TVs on the ceiling, which I know our baby will appreciate on future visits when he's a little older. With our help, Amanda gave our baby a quick cleaning which was over before he could even process what happened. We saw the dentist, Dr. Holmes next. She was great! And both of them were very helpful with tips on taking care of our baby's teeth! No cavities!!! We were sent home with our gift bag of dental supplies. We'll be back in 6 months!! So happy to have found what I believe will be a great dental office for our son! read more

NEVER AGAIN: My daughter was "in need of a spacer" per Dr. Rai. We went to get it placed and the assistant was persistent at trying to place the spacer and instead of asking for assistance from the many assistants that were there including the dentist she kept on until I let her know my daughter does not cry easily unless it really is painful. She then went to Dr. Rai and what took 10 minutes and failed only took 1 minute minus the pain! The spacer needed to be adjusted therefore it was not going to go in even if you used a hammer! I will NEVER go back there because it was one particular person however, they all were aware of the problem and was occasionally glancing over while my child suffered. I wouldn't take my pet for dental care to this place. read more

I have to say when this practice was 1st taken over by it's current owner, I was a little skeptical. I liked the other dentists. However, I feel like the new owner is great. She seems very knowledgeable. She has done several procedures on my children. Both the dentist and the assistants are good with the kids. My children really like to get a coin for the ball machine and a balloon after their dental appointment is over. I especially liked that she called me back rather quickly after hours. read more

All my 3 kids came here for check up and cleaning and the office took X-Rays. A month later, they sent us a bill and explained that my insurance didn't cover them.
