On Sunday, July 19, 2026, at approx. 11:23 am, I entered Falcone's and was greeted by a courteous female employee. I advised said employee I was there to pick up 4 pizzas that were schedule to be picked up @ 11:30. She looked at several order tickets hanging and then ambulated to the kitchen area. Soon thereafter, she returned stating that the 4 pizzas were NOT ready and it would be 25 minutes. I retorted that my daughter placed the order for these on Friday (July 17) to be ready today (July 19) at 11:30am so why are they not done? The female employee orated that they received a telephonic order for 20 pizzas; thus, the delay with my daughter's order of 4 pizzas. This prompted me to inquire...so the 20 pizzas that were just ordered telephonically were priority over an order that was placed on July 17? I further uttered that the pizzas were for a birthday party, and the 25-minute wait seems to be unwarranted based on the order being placed on July 17; thus, my order should have been priority over a recent call in order. I further detailed that I frequented Falcones in Edmond as well as the store off of May many times when we resided in the Edmond area and this foul up was certainly not a great look for Ardmore's store. She apologized and I called my daughter to explain the Ineptitude of the pizza order. The employees clearly heard my conversation as the restaurant was void of any other patrons. I observed the female employee call someone (presumably the owner or management). At the conclusion of that call, she said she could provide me with four 18" pizzas (vs the 14" we ordered) that were meant for customers that desired a single slice vs a whole pie. I noticed these pizzas under a warming light similar that one would see at a gas station or alike. Based on the fact we did not want to dampen the party for my 2-year-old grandson, I reluctantly accepted this offer and departed the restaurant at approx. 11:38am. I am not desiring any complementary pizza/food whatsoever. However, I surely would embrace a call from the owners/mgmt. on why they discarded my order that was placed days prior for a large order that was made telephonically when they opened on July 19th. Moreover, why would they over commit to so many pizza orders in a compressed time frame knowing there was ZERO feasibility to fulfill all the orders? I can only conclude that they opted for the higher profit of the 20 pizzas vs our menial 4 pizza order...OR they simply "forgot" our order that was placed days earlier. Incompetence or deliberate actions? Only those who were working that day know the answer. I think we deserve the truth. The pizzas were ok, not fresh and hot by no means, which did not meet what we usually expect from Falcones. Are there more important matters in the world? Surely there is but this restaurant will fail if they continue down this path. Would I return to this location? 70% NO and 30% perhaps. 30% is based on the positive experience we had in Edmond/OKC.

Also not captivated with the gas station chicken place. We were truly fortunate to find Mama's Place, just a couple miles from the interstate on US-77. Mama's Place has been open since August 2020 and I bet they'll be going strong for a long time. Not very hungry, we decided to split a half pound burger with bacon and pepper jack cheese. Chips and a drink are included and we paid an upcharge for fries and I'm certainly glad we did. They grind their hamburger fresh and you can taste the difference. The patty was nicely crispy around the edges, garnished with lettuce, tomato and pickles. With the bacon and pepper jack, the burger was terrific. Other add-ons included grilled jalapeños, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms. Any of those sound great, but we were satisfied as is. I think we must have looked hungry, because the basket was super sized. I'm not exaggerating when I say they were as good as any fries I've ever had. These aren't previously frozen fries, rather these are from fresh spuds. The color, texture and flavor were perfect. The small dining room had 2 large picnic tables for inside dining in air conditioned comfort. You can also enjoy your meal outside, on one of several picnic tables, too. Going to stop by tomorrow and try the crispy chicken sandwich. Keeping an eye on this place. There's some expansion underway. An additional room is being built in the back and a big smoker is sitting back there. The owner said he'll be expanding the menu to include smoked meat. Sounds good to me.

There is a drive up window but we decided to go inside. Owner came out from kitchen and was so friendly. We got the large bacon cheese burger which came with chips & drink and added fries. Owner said he grinds his own meat and cuts his own fries. Boy could you tell the difference from a fast food place. Burger was large and so flavorful, fries were perfectly cooked and not overly salty. We were so glad we stopped and will stop again next time we're in the area.

So we ask for a dozen to chicken and pork tamales to go because we wanted to be outside drove a few miles to Pecan Grove picnic Area and made mimosas and ate this very good tamales. The salsa was also very good my wife and I fought over it when we got back to Grapevine. We can't vouch for the food but the tamales are very good!!
