Between late April and the end of June, my family helped me store items in the unit. These were not material possessions--they were deeply sentimental. My daughter was born with health issues, and the items included her medical gifts from CT Children's, her baby clothes, and a few miscellaneous furniture pieces. As my home was in the process of selling between late June and July, I hadn't returned to the unit until Friday, July 25th. When I entered the "climate-controlled" building, I immediately noticed the hallways were very cold. But when I opened my unit, I was hit with a gust of warm, humid air. At first, I was slightly annoyed, thinking my family hadn't stored many items in this unit--especially since my other climate-controlled unit in Thompson, CT, was getting full. As my mother and I began moving things around, I quickly realized something was wrong. All the boxes were damp, and the plastic totes had a sticky, wet feeling. Then I saw it--mold. Mold was everywhere, covering all of my belongings. Let me be clear: these items were not stored in a basement. They came directly from my home, which had just passed inspection with no signs of mold. These were everyday items from a clean, safe environment. I took photos and videos. The unit had no ventilation--none. The longer I stood inside, the hotter and more lightheaded I felt. The walls were brick, and there was insulation at the top, but no airflow whatsoever. I immediately called the front office and left a message, as it was after 5 PM. The next day, the manager--who was very kind--called me back. After I explained the situation, he told me that mold wasn't covered. I explained again that the mold could not have come from my belongings. These were my daughter's irreplaceable items. He said he would speak with the owners. In the end, they refunded me two months' rent and offered me a free unit. But I would never accept that offer--I have zero trust in this facility now. I trusted them to protect items that meant the world to me, and I was left feeling dismissed and heartbroken. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others. If you want your belongings kept safe, look elsewhere. The owners clearly do not care about their customers. Even when presented with clear evidence that their "climate-controlled" unit had no ventilation, they did nothing meaningful to make it right.

After having them mow.our lawn for approximately 6 years..we just had a very bad experience with them. One guy came to mow (usually they send 2) he mowed half of it (took at least 10 breaks that we counted in a 3 hour period) and left (not completing the job). BTW he worked extremely slow, it looked deliberate as this never happened before. I called the office and spoke with the lawn MGR after he left my property, while the job was still incomplete. I figured out this deceptive business tactic used by them after speaking to the "lawn Mgr". She basically refused to have the mower come back and finish the job tomorrow-- they didnt have time for us she said and that they had other properties to work on. They also jacked up the price from $175./ last season (2024) to $325./ for this season ( that is an 85.71% increase! ). In a previous conversation i had with "The Lawn MGR" mentioned there would be an increase and I said "I understand and agreed to the increase". And they still had the mower come to my property and behave this way. She said she would have a "field mgr. come and evaluate the property. They had plans to increase the price more. At this point I was finished with Dutch and their deceptive business tactics and fired them. The Lawn Mgr would not give me the owners name (Bruce Dutch) so i could have a conversation with him regarding this matter. Service both on the office end and mowing end has drastically diminished. I feel terrible that our once reliable good neighbor and lawn carer has resorted to this manipulative business tactic. We will no longer recommend this company for lawn, oil, propane or their customer service! You lost a good customer and your GOOD name!!!!! He couldn't fit me until 2 weeks later, 2 weeks ( so just about 4 weeks now not quite) the local guy calls me to tell me the tractor was in a fire, the engine swapped out and there is water in the engine oil.Not good so I called True who had several responses, I must have left it out in the rain, he doesn't know anything about it, it is an As is sale. He proceeded to send me a text and wanted to talk to my local guy.my local guy wants nothing to do with him feels he gives small engine repair guys a bad reputation. i wanted him to work with me but he just did want to be accountable and play the blame game.
