I used the online design assistant while looking for products and spoke with Penny who's at the Dallas store. She was so very helpful!! I had questions about colors and mixing things and she provided her thoughts which was great. I needed someone to bounce my ideas off of. She texted me pictures of what I was looking at online and even helped me with the best way to purchase my items to maximize the discount and minimize shipping costs. While I didn't go into the store, I compelled to leave this review because Penny was such a help. I'm looking forward to getting my furniture! read more

I had an absolutely horrible experience with Pottery Barn Kids. I ordered a personalized toy chest for my granddaughter's first birthday a few weeks later. When I received the item it was damaged. I called in to process the return and replacement. A few days later I called to check on the item and was told the new one would not be sent until the damaged item was received back at their warehouse but if it was sent the next day, I would still receive the new toy chest 4 to 9 days before my granddaughter's birthday. I called again a few days later. Spoke with a lady who apologized for the delay. She said they had received the item but that my money was in process of being returned and my replacement had been cancelled (she didn't know why). I would simply need to purchase again online. She provided a 15% discount for the trouble and promised that I would receive it in time for my granddaughter's first birthday if I ordered that day. I went online to order the item and the personalization color is not available. All I got after another hour on the phone was apologies, my refund was just issued the same day and that they can't help and don't know when the personalization color would be available. I am now 9 days from my first grandchild's first birthday and don't have a gift. Poor communication, inaccurate information from different associates and even the manager had no additional information or assistance. PBK has lost me as a customer. read more

My husband and I went into this PBK last weekend to look at a nursery chair we had seen online. We started by looking at the chair and then Cindy came over to assist us. She was super helpful, showing us a variety of chairs, discussing pricing, and helping us think through our decisions. Cindy ended up showing us some other nursery furniture and a stroller and car seat we'd been eyeing online. She was incredibly patient, not pushy at all, and very friendly. We ended up ordering online at a later time, but SO appreciate Cindy's help. Highly recommend this store! read more

Went to Potter Barn on Saturday, the day after Black Friday and got no help. The cashier just walked away after helping someone and didn't bother checking me out. I waited and waited with staff walking pass me and didn't offer to help or check me out, so I left the stuff and walked to PB kids immediately. I had a much different experience here. Staff approached and offered to help. I was able to get the crib I want with Black Friday's deal so that was really nice. The crib was too big for our car so my husband went back with a truck, and I guess the staffing at that time was only female. We felt bad that an older lady helped my husband carry a heavy box to his car. This shouldn't be the case. read more

So so so rude. I called the store 10 minutes before opening to locate a toddler bed conversion kit and the lady answered and said she would call me Back when the store opens (really?). I said don't worry I'll call back in 10 minutes. When I call again another lady answers and asks to put me on hold. She forgets to place me on hold. I hear the other lady in the background talking badly about how "OMG SHE CALLED LIKE 5 TIMES ABOUT THIS STUPID THING AND I FINALLY ANSWERED!" I didn't call 5 times, I called the one time 10 minutes before store opening....apparently that was such a huge inconvenience for the sales lady....then they hung up on me! Wow. Unfortunately I need the toddler bed conversion kit or else I would never give this company my business again. I ordered online instead. Never shopping here again. read more

my husband and I went in to buy a nursery chair today. I already bought my car seat here a few weeks ago and dealt with the same lady, Cindy. Which with that is was a disaster bc she gave us wrong information and our order was cancelled Bc the billing address and mailing address was different after we told her it would be so she messed that up. So when I saw Cindy today I wasnt happy to see her knowing how unpleasant she is. I'm 9 months pregnant and she told me how the chairs are too small for me. Like I'm pregnant and won't be this size for much longer. she also didn't even acknowledge my husband and was annoyed when we asked about breaking down the price for us. she brought us to the most expensive chair first and was not happy with our questions and asking about delivery. she seemed frustrated with us and short fused. she had no compassion was so rude I don't understand how she still works there. I was ready to buy a chair today. But after how she treated us I left upset and decided to take our business elsewhere. Sometimes you just can't believe you have to write a one star review. So we came in over the weekend with our family to help pick out some furniture for our registry. At that time we were told that things were part of the Buy More Save More promotion, and that if we were thinking of buying anything this would be the perfect time to save if purchasing over $1,000. With multiple cribs, conversion kits, and a recliner we were interested. My dad called up to the store today to order and he was put off for multiple reasons. First we were told that things could not be picked up without a fee which was surprising, because as the customer we do all of the leg work. Not everyone is interested in paying $200 for delivery and assembly. Then, the kicker when going to check out, nothing was eligible for the buy more save more as we were told over the weekend AND today. Why wait until the card is out for purchase to mention something? Contemplating registering/purchasing items somewhere else for our twin nursery. You'd think with the cost of things in the store the employees would be knowledgeable...not the case. Huge disappointment. read more

Came here over the weekend to look at cribs, strollers, rocking chairs, blankets, the whole shebang and to register for our soon-to-be twins as well. When we were here everyone we spoke to kept stressing to us how we should make sure we purchase soon to take advantage of the buy more, save more promotion. We registered a few items and went on our merry way, to decide which crib we wanted to go with. Today, my father-in-law went back to purchase the cribs that we wanted among other things, and they again told him that his purchase was eligible for the buy more, save more promotion.....that is, until....he took out his credit card to pay. -_- Apparently, the items we selected were NOT a part of the promotion, so my father-in-law drove all the way from Plano for nothing. I really wish that the employees were more well-informed and knew the disclosures of the promotions they are offering. Needless to say, we will be taking our business elsewhere, which kind of sucks, because there were a few items we were looking at here for our twin nursery. Unfortunately for PBKids, since they didn't have their ish together, they won't be seeing us again. As Pinky once said, "Get it together, baby!" read more

We went here to buy a new bed for our son. We were told before ordering that the bed could be delivered to the store for free. After 20 minutes futzing on the computer they told us that no, it couldn't be delivered to the store, and we'd have to pay for $150 white glove delivery -- and it wouldn't be delivered for a month. One month later, on the day of the delivery, 1 hour before it was meant to arrive, they call and tell us that its not in stock and won't be available for ANOTHER month. This means our son won't have a proper bed for Christmas, even though we ordered the bed at the beginning of November. Even calling customer service to talk about the delivery required 4 transfers and 40 minutes on hold. Just avoid the headaches. read more

I am very disappointed in 1st order of Emily and Merit Bed of roses, in the catalog the roses looked so pretty and PINK! I got the order in and the roses were more of a brownish pink not at all what it looked like so I sent it back and started over. Went into dallas to the potterybarn kids store so I could see the 2nd quilt I want very pretty pink quilt and shams. I got my order and I love the quilt pretty pink but again the shams do not match they are more of a rosey pink. Pottery barn need to match up their dye lots of the fabrics before sending orders out. Very disappointed in the quality of pottery barn concidering the prices they charge. read more

Awful, awful, awful! I placed an order on May 12 for a Harry Potter blanket that my pregnant daughter really wanted. It is now July 24 and still no blanket. Every week the delivery date gets pushed out another week, and Pottery Barn puts another pending credit card charge on my credit card. I have called in probably 10 times and each time I am told that there is a large shipment coming in and I will get my order. And then I have hope until I get another email with the date pushed out again. Sigh. I give up, but I'll NEVER shop there again. read more

The worst customer service ever! All the sales associates sit around talking and not helping customers. Also, they say "I don't know" when asked if certain items are part of sales promotions with no follow up. Nail in the coffin - I have had issues with every item I have ordered. Never again! Garbage! I ordered a bassinet from them in December, nobody at the store cared to explain that it was backlogged until February at the time of the order. Top it off, they charged my card 3 times for a $400 bassinet & nobody cared to help me at this shop! A store in Origen had to help me. This store is complete garbage. Pottery Barn just lost a great customer. Oh I returned that piece of crap bassinet. I refuse to give my money to horrible service. read more

I was interested in purchasing a stroller for my nuna car seat and he didn't try to help me at all. My husband and I came here to pick up a gift for my niece's shower. So far we've been in the store for 30 minutes and have not been greeted or asked if we needed help. There are 3 people working here, one hanging a display, another helping someone who has walked by at least 3 times and never made eye contact, a women on the phone who snapped she would be with us shortly and then a 4th person who just magically appeared after we've been standing at the checkout for at least 8 minutes. The guy who was hanging the display finally came to help and was very nice. Overall it was a disappointing experience and I would have left but was pressed for time and didn't want to have to go to another store. read more

Recently, the employees have been very unfriendly and lacking in customer service. I have been purchasing from PBK for over 2 years now since my son was born in 2015. We have a crib, rug, many room decor accents like bookshelves, etc... I wanted to purchase a rocker (available online only) through the store and use a coupon that was sent to my email. Unfortunately, the coupon had expired the day prior and even though customer service for online would honor the discount (yet charge me shipping), the stores refused to honor the discount (but offered free shipping). I find this wildly ridiculous because if I were to have placed my order yesterday, I would have had the discount and free shipping. PBK really needs to re-evaluate their customer service and shipping charges. they are both disappointing and lacking, and I will now take my business to Restoration Hardware Baby where I know they have excellent customer service. read more
