I was able to take a walk-through of the store, which was quiet on a weeknight, and immediately fell in love with the red accents everywhere - especially the red bird comforter set. Trees and ornaments are up, ready for the holiday season. Pottery Barn pieces continue to be classic and good quality. Pricing is high and that's never going to change - you have to decide what is worth the splurge. We've invested in their bed frames and home decor that we know will be with us for several years. A couple of associates were in the store and I was greeted upon walking in. Otherwise, they let me roam on my own and I was okay with that. Looking forward to another visit! Staff is not helpful. Even when speaking to them after getting their attention seems a burden for staff. The store has all the holiday items out for the season, but selection did not compare to the store we shopped in Charlotte, NC. Left with nothing and that is a first. read more

I have a real soft spot for this store. They have a ton of really lovely stuff. Their price point is by no means cheap, but it's significantly cheaper than some of their competitors. The customer service is pathetic. No communication. They are impeccable at processing an order and taking your money. However, when their overpriced poorly constructed furniture does not meet expectations and a replacement is requested that is where the wheels fall off the bus! Pottery Barn is definitely a great spot to check out for home decor. Some items can be pretty pricey, but if you find items on sale, or use coupon codes, you can also find some pretty awesome deals. This location of Pottery Barn is pretty much like any other. I have browsed this location a lot, but recently I purchased an item online that I had to return because it didn't work out, so I brought it into this store. I called ahead and confirmed I could bring in the item for return. The associates were friendly and processed my return without issue; however, once the funds were returned to my card I was shorted approximately $47. This is actually an issue with Pottery Barn corporate, but it links into this location, so I'm going to post my experience here. Once I received the refund I called Pottery Barn customer service to ask why this had occurred and I was told I was still responsible for shipping and handling, since "nothing was wrong with the item." The customer service representative informed me that if I had said the item was faulty I would have received a full refund, but because I simply chose not to keep the item I still had to pay these costs. So, moral to this story, if you would like a full refund on anything you order online from Pottery Barn, apparently you need to say it's broken. And, when you make a return in store they're likely not going to tell you about these costs (they didn't tell me), so be sure to check your return statements. read more

My fiancé and I just bought a wall unit at pottery barn after debating for months and months. I worked with Jessica and Dann who were stellar and went above and beyond helping us. When the floor model became available Jessica texted me to let me know and she and Dann worked with us to measure the unit to be sure our entertainment center would fit. They spent so much time and care helping us which really impressed me. Without the two of them working at the store at the paddock, I am certain we would not have bought this unit. If you think your ass needs a seat in the next 6 months, I wouldn't do this. Took us 4 months and at least 56 phone calls to get our couch. Whoever sells it to you, will have NOTHING to do with you afterwards. It's you versus customer service. Couch is great, but patience is key. Do not buy furniture from pottery barn. The salesperson will sell you something knowing they do not have in stock. You will wait weeks and weeks. Each time you call you will get a different lie "it's at the hub" or "heading to the warehouse" or "you'll get an email this week". I don't think the company will be in business much longer. Customer service is non-existent at this location. I was questioning a sales girl about an item, and she rudely and LOUDLY snapped at me. I was then turned over to Chris who basically wasted my time and gave me no further assistance. Chris was to call me later and guess what ? Never happened. Do not shop at this store. We ordered a sofa June, 2021. As of August, 2022 we still have not received the sofa. Now we are told it would be October, 2022. Since the pandemic happened we tried to be patient with all of the shipping delays. After many visits to this store we kept getting different answers. In June, 2022 we finally spoke to Dan at this store which was a customer service rep. Not sure why no one referred us to him to begin with. But he was no help either. Finally found out the sofa was never ordered. So DO NOT shop this store. read more

I used the instore design center to help me pick out furniture and order it. Again I didn't place the order myself. The sales lady in the store placed my order and put the charges on my credit card. The lady who placed my order says there was an error and my order wasn't processed. The pottery barn credit card says they approved my order and have in fact charged me. Essentially a breakdown in communication between computers (the pottery barn store and the pottery barn credit card company) Now I'm told I just have to wait and despute the charges. Just to clarify I have been charged literally thousand of dollars for new leather sofas. The charges are on my credit card. However I have no sofas and pottery barn has no record of any order for me. Neither credit card or store knows how to fix this. I can't reach anyone with any power to fix it. I will likely have to get an attorney to fix this. Clearly they can't charge me thousands of dollars and not order my sofas but as of right now they have done this. Be aware that no one in this company or in credit card company has the knowledge or ability to fix any issues. read more

Pottery Barn in the Mall saint Matthews has been a favorite decor spot of mine for many years. Just recently had a horrible experience with Mandy, who is supposedly a manager. Her extreme rudeness, lack of understanding simple Math and 20 percent off, getting extremely frustrated and rude when you correct her on overcharging you and talking down to you, was completely unacceptable. I cannot believe it took me an hour to check out and another manager had to come in and try to fix this hot mess she created. Thank goodness he knew simple Math and what he was doing. He and another associate were very nice and apologized for her terrible attitude. Hey Pottery Barn, Mandy hates dealing with customers who spend thousands of dollars on furniture between pottery barn and pottery barn kids, hates being friendly and being bothered by anyone with questions, acts better than everyone in the store, a retail store, and then can't correctly add and hates the coupons you offer to repeat customers! Then tried to explain her lack of being able to add the discount correctly by telling us the item was already on sale, which it wasn't, so had to be corrected on that as well. Maybe Mandy needs to work the stock room in the back to not be bothered by REPEAT customers who spend money in your store. Just a thought! read more

Both places are expensive, but I am happy with my furniture. I particularly love the desk I got here. The customer service in the store was fine, but one time I had to call another number they gave me to reach customer service and I got someone who did not seem to know what they were doing.
