I have known Derek for about a decade from playing basketball where I found him to be a good man. I then found out that he was a dentist in the past few years and decided to get my teeth checked after seven long years. His office is updated and cleanly, his staff is amazing and friendly, and his ability to be professional and putting your health first is difficult to find these days. My wife and I have either gotten cavities filled, veneers, or our teeth cleaned and always had a great experience. I was dreading my first dental visit after not having been since COVID started. I finally got dental insurance again and was ready to get my teeth cleaned and checked. The hygienist Susie was so kind, she didn't make me feel bad about not flossing every day or mock my insane amounts of tartar build up. She was encouraging and gave me some great tips to make flossing easier for me (gag much!). I was disappointed with the Invisalign service, Derek thought my teeth were complicated and did not know what he was doing. I kept complaining that my bottom teeth were hitting against the top teeth every time I went in to get new trays of Invisalign. Derek finally asked me at one point what he should do. I never went back to his office to finish the Invisalign. I went and got traditional braces to fix the issue that I was having with the Invisalign. read more

As stated before, my previous dentist/orthodontist told me "nothing is ever perfect' when I mentioned that I was unhappy with the slight misalignment in my teeth even AFTER having braces with him. I sought out Potts Dental after hearing great things, and Derek has been more than happy to move long quickly with all my dental work requests! I have only been a patient for a few months, and they started me on Invisalign in order to fix that minor misalignment in my front teeth. Everything has been going great so far, and I have my follow up appointment soon to see the progress.
