The refs are young(hs age) for the younger soccer games but they seemed knowledgeable. The indoor fields are turf and the large field is split into 2smaller fields for games where the teams play literally wall to wall - def a bit different but a great opportunity for you to continue playing. There are also outdoor fields to be used we just were not signed up for those. Also has adult soccer and lacrosse. There are places to stand to watch the games with a little obstruction but it's not terrible. Very easy to get to but parking is crazy, very small lot and extremely busy. But I would recommend for anyone adults or kids

Scheduling is the real issue, they cram in all the games they can with games starting 2 minutes after the last game ends leaving almost no time to warm up. Players are often still walking off the pitch when the next game starts. This also makes parking tough. Not only are the games right on top of each other, but a lot of people hang around after their game socializing or waiting for another chance to play. Reffing can be hit or miss. There are some good refs, and some really bad ones that just linger around midfield rather than staying with the play. It's a great facility, and the only game in town!

A full-contact woman's sport, modern derby began in 2001 in Texas and has exploded across the country in an amazing grass-roots movement. Your local team, the Brandywine Roller Girls, is a fast-growing team with over sixty local skaters. If you're reading this and you live in the area, it's likely you already know a derby skater -- you may just not know it yet! As "Thurston Howl III", I'm one of the announcers for Brandywine Roller Girls bouts, which are held the third Saturday of every month at the Caln Skating Center. Bouts start at 7:00, and last for about an hour and a half. There's live music, food, fun, and lots of exciting derby action. Since their original inception back in 2011, the Brandywine Roller Girls have done nothing, but to amaze and excite its fans each and every bout. Each girl shows heart, dedication, grace, love, and professionalism for the sport and it shows in their faces, their smiles, their tears. On the track, they may have two teams. Off the track, they share a common sisterhood. They work together, play together, and train together. They share the pain, the jeers, victory and defeat. You can watch any sport to feel victory, but if you want to share that with family, good friends, and totally rocking girls on skates, you come to watch BRG.

There's one 18-hole course, and it's around $10 per person. The best part is that you can stay and play as many times as you want, so you can get your money's worth if you're up for multiple rounds. Or, more realistically, you can play again to try to redeem yourself after that embarrassing 6 on the 4th hole! The course was well maintained, fun, and just challenging enough to keep things interesting. There's quite a bit of water, and it's surprisingly easy to find yourself fishing your ball out of a pond. Fortunately, the balls float, and there are strategically placed nets in the spots where you're most likely to need them, which is a nice touch. You'll also find the usual obstacles like rocks and "sand traps." Although, calling them sand traps is being pretty generous--they're more like rock traps. I would have liked to see a little more theming throughout the course and some different types of hazards. Once you've conquered the water and rocks, there isn't a whole lot of variety. They also have an indoor, air-conditioned snack bar serving Nelson's ice cream, which is a pretty great way to cool off after a round--or recover emotionally from the hole that just ruined your score. Overall, it's a nice, well-kept mini golf course with reasonable pricing, unlimited play, and a few good challenges. It may not have the elaborate themes or crazy obstacles of some of the bigger courses, but it's a fun place to spend some time and definitely worth checking out.

I'm originally from Virginia, so I really appreciate feeling closer to home. You have the option of working out in the fitness center, attending a group fitness class, playing pickleball, playing basketball, etc. I would 100% recommend the community center!!
