I've been going to Pound 4 Pound for a few years now. Sometimes I have to wait a little bit if it's crowded but it's worth the wait. Derek is a great barber and great conversation. Sometimes I go for a trim just to catch up with Derek. Prices are reasonable, place is clean and barbers are great. Last I was there it was cash only, so stop by that ATM before you come. Not impressed at all, 1 guy working the day I went. Young dude, made it known that he only likes to do certain styles. Doesn't make a customer feel confident in what they ask for kiddo. Rather get more heads through the chair than to take time for beard straight razor. A lot to learn still. Also only 2 chairs so some days only one barber. Assuming this may be somewhat of a new business. The cut was okay, I ultimately went home and lined up and evened out my beard myself. I'm a loyal barber customer but my guy was booked and I was in a crutch so I had to settle. I won't be returning for sure. If you need a cut hit up the guys from Fraga Barbershop in ATX. The haircut was fine, however, the place is not quite clean. I was looking to sit somewhere but all the chairs had hair on them and the barber used the brush that he uses on clients to dust it off. This fairly simple barbershop gave me an excellent experience. I arrived in a Tuesday evening and had an opportunity to get a haircut by the owner. Very down to earth guy with a great personality. His skills were very refined with the clippers as well as the scissors. I got a side-part fade (low)with a tapered neckline and it was one of the way better ones I have had in years. This guy is not a stylist but an authentic barber who can cut and fade with attention to detail.
