The new establishment is large, fresh, and open. A great place for groups and families. The cocktails are good, though small portions compared to the wheelhouse next door. I like the lavender themed drinks, quite good without being too sweet. I don't think the food is great. We ordered shrimp and a burger. The shrimp was quite spicy and good, but the burger was just too greasy. The servers could do well to double check on a table once the food has gotten there to make sure all is well and to make sure we have napkins. read more

The last time we were in town we did not get a chance to try this place out because it was still new and very packed. We finally had the opportunity to go and I was looking forward to it. We brought our dog with us and there were three hosts in the front who promptly seated us. However, after 10 minutes it became apparent we didn't have a server at all. We had to flag someone down (although it was not and packed). I ordered the chicken fried steak and it came out surprisingly fast (within 5 minutes). To my disappointment, not only was it not hot, it was barely warm. I knew from reading reviews not to expect too much from the food. I liked that it's dog and family friendly. Atmosphere is the only reason I'll give this place two stars, service isn't bad either the waiters were pretty good. However the Food just absolutely is not improving. They gave us Tartar sauce with the Mac and cheese bites thinking they gave us marinara sauce, and everything else was just not great after that. I love the concept! The seating area outside during a hot summer's day kept us cool the entire time with the fans on blast. The service was great as well. Our server was extremely quick and got us everything we needed. I can tell that this place gets pretty packed out especially if you're into pickleball. It was my first time here so I ordered a few dishes: Beef tips and mashed potatoes The fried fish platter with a dozen fried shrimp and hushpuppies. The crab fried rice. We also got the boudin dip and crab dip to start. Now I will say I'm a bit disappointed that the food was a bit on the saltier side. I think they all could have been better off with half the salt. The crab fried rice was the only dish we had today where they didn't go too crazy with the salt and it was really tasty! The beef tips I had were tender but like most of the other dishes.. quite salty. I think the flavoring is all there with every dish. Overall I do think I'll be back but it'll probably just be for the drinks and snacking on fries. My family ordered two pizzas and loved it though. Good luck on your guys' business! read more

Very Poor Experience - Completely Unacceptable We came to Pour Neches River Experience as a party of eight specifically for the all-you-can-eat shrimp and crab legs. What we received was nowhere close to what was advertised. After arriving and waiting patiently, we were finally brought one platter for all eight people to share. That platter contained three crab clusters, 12 shrimp, one corn, one potato, and one sausage -- for eight adults. That is not even remotely acceptable for an all-you-can-eat experience. After that, we waited well over an hour with no additional food, no check-ins, and zero communication from the waitress or the kitchen about the delay. The service was terrible and felt completely dismissive. Eventually, another tray came out -- again, just three crab clusters and 12 shrimp for all eight people to share. At that point, it was clear this was not a delay issue, but a failure to provide what was promised. This experience was frustrating, disappointing, and absolutely not worth the money. Poor service, poor communication, and misleading "all-you-can-eat" offerings. We will not be returning. read more

If you're looking for a place to hangout or grab a drink, it works, but I wouldn't recommend coming here for a meal. The whole menu needs a revamp and/or hire me as food critic to fix this terrible food menu. read more

First time trying Pour Neches. Absolutely love the vibe! Mostly outdoor seating, but great vibes. When it comes to food, we got the crab Alfredo spinach dip. It was 95% cheese, the crab was definitely missed on it. It wasn't terrible but not worth $17.99. We wouldn't order it again. My husband got the crawfish fried rice and absolutely loved it! I ordered the steak watery wrap, it was definitely watery. I ordered no cheese, they put cheese on it. The sauce made the tortillas insanely soggy from the second the waitress put it infront of me. I took one bite and it was a no for me. The waitress was kind enough to send it back and let me change my order. I got the Korean rice bowl, no egg. There was egg on it. Not a huge deal, I just took it off. But the bowl was really good. The waitress was super sweet! She was insanely busy, so it took us awhile to get our drinks. But the food came out fast. We are definitely going to try it again because the atmosphere is amazing. They have turf for the kids to play on, big tvs and a perfect water view! I will probably try something else. read more
