Unless the staff know you, don't expect anything more than average. Service is slow. One order of poutine took 20 minutes to make for no reason as orders that came after were made first. The amount of fries varies from order to order. One order of fries had a half serving and they were clearly leftover. The drinks are also hit or miss. The staff is super lazy or super "laid back". Stopped by on a day-trip to Lopez-I've had okay poutine before-even in Canada-but this truck blew my expectations away!! Best poutines I've ever had. Beautifully presented-the fries are thick and sturdy to hold all that yummy gravy. Gravy is thick and flavorful but not greasy at all. The crab sandwich!!!! We hunted this food truck down on a recommendation from our friend when visiting Lopez. We loved it so much we stopped by again on our way to the ferry out of town. The crew working is super friendly and kind and all the food is delicious. We tried the crab sandwich, the mushroom melt, and the poutine. Would recommend everything. read more

I saw this cute food cart while visiting Lopez Island. I was excited to see that they had vegan options! I got the vegan Magic Mushroom with cashew cheese..it was so good! They also had a super food hot sauce that contained chipotle, cacao and goji berry that is made on the island. Got it on the side, but so tasty that we poured over the top. I will gladly put in my mouth! I got the mushroom and onion poutine with truffle oil. First, the meal smelled like a lil bit of heaven. It was so well seasoned, had a great ratio of mushrooms, cheese curds, and fries (which is an extremely important factor in a meal). The gravy was just thick enough, and covered it all to make it so gooey and that GOOD hot soggy you crave with poutine. The portion size was JUST right so I don't feel sick from eating fries and gravy, but it still filled me up My boyfriend got the chili one and although it was incredible, it was more of a classic chili cheese fry and didn't satisfy the classic poutine craving. Still, no complaints and will return when back on Lopez!!! read more

We found the truck ,near closing time, in from of the Blossom Grocery (also a wonderful business). It was staffed with 4 youngsters who, when asked, were eager to give their takes on the food and what we might like to try. We ended up getting a standard poutine order and a set of veggie tacos. I'd recommend poutine with a bit more zip. The standard gravy is a lot of the 'same' taste from bite to bite, and mostly covers up the subtle flavor of the curds. The fries were good and plentiful, but overall still a bit expensive for what it is. I say get it to try it, but you'll probably come back for something with more going one. The tacos were much better in our opinion. They had a great sauce and were perfectly made. For a quick lunch or a fun switch up, I would love to be able to visit Poutine again. read more

Growing up 30 miles from the Canadian border, I am quite familiar with hockey, overly apologetic folk, Molson (thank you Canadian 19 drinking age!), and, of course, the French-Canadian staple, Poutine. It has recently moved south and west, I'm guessing in part due to all the American travel/food shows showing gravy on top of cheese curds on top of fries. In Utah, Poutine is still hard to find. Redhot has it as a side and there's the Riverton-based Porky's Poutine food truck, but nobody has quite got it down like Poutine Your Mouth does. PYM's most popular is their titular dish. Really, it starts with a great fry, and PYM's is thick, not greasy, crisp, with skins still on the tips. The gravy is savory and hearty, the perfect amount to fill you up but not leave you with the gravy sweats. And the squeaky, perfectly melting cheese curds is so good even a Québécois foodie would call them magnifique. I also tried their BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Poutine at the November 18, 2017 Reverstaurant Vegan Food Truck Round-Up. I don't know what they did to replace the cheese curds or meat, but it was awesome. Bravo! Both times I finally came across PYM -- when I was actually hungry - was at The Reverstaurant in downtown SLC (329 E on Broadway). I've also seen them at farmers market-type events. My first time having poutine. It was amazing. The special was lamb curry poutine and it is delicious. They have vegetarian options too, so something for everyone. Orcas and San Juan Islands are missing out by not allowing food trucks. You really need to rethink that choice. The owners/operators/chefs were super nice, friendly and accommodating. The area around the truck was clean and trash free. They advertise catering services which would be a greater business lunch option. Think about! read more

Cincinnati - Chili gravy fries, it's a pretty thick combo and it tastes that way. I didn't find anything unique about it though that I could say wow'd me to love it. It taste like it sounds chili gravy fries. And this bowl will cost you $12 it's more like an $8 bowl tops! This is not something I see myself getting all the time, I'd have to be really in the mood. Squeaky cheese curds, flavorful gravy, crispy fries, sumptuous toppings. Wonderful. We ate here several times in February 2019. We had plans to try a couple places during our time on Lopez but after the first try we didn't eat anywhere else for the remainder of our trip. Better than Haven, better than Ursa Minor, and wayyyy cheaper. We come to the San Juan Islands on a regular basis and this is BY FAR the best food we've had at that price point. You wouldn't ever guess that poutine could be bad--frozen battered fries with some shredded cheese and bad gravy could even be good... so I was surprised when the food truck poutine was not good. The fries were decent themselves, but the gravy was horrible and the toppings just did not suit the fries. Poutine your mouth to the rescue! In what could have been a horrible evening. this food truck saved the day and provided what might be my favorite memory of my trip to the San Juan's. We had just eaten (half-eaten) a horrible meal, when who pulls up at the bar next door? Poutine your mouth! The doors were open, the dance music was blasting, and this crew was taking orders and kicking....out great food. Watching them enjoying cooking, literally made my day. The food was amazing! Poutine: the most heavenly creation known to potato lovers. Yep, that pretty much sums it up. Three years ago I was on vacation in Seattle when I first stumbled upon poutine. My life was changed. Then I came back to Utah and I struggled to find my new food love so when I ran into Poutine Your Mouth I was in heaven. Personally, I like the normal poutine - fries, cheese curds, amazing gravy. However, their specialty poutines are tasty too! The service here is always so friendly and fast!! They rock! I hope to see gravy fries, poutine, and other variations to take off more in Utah. Poutine is an interesting dish, one that I've only had a couple times. I have to say I have enjoyed it both times. I had an opportunity to try the poutine served by Poutine your mouth. The base of all poutine is the fries. On this, I can say that the guys at Poutine your mouth know what they're doing, the fries were wonderfully crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The fries are well seasoned and have a good flavor. Over the fries they had a nice vegetable gravy, which had a light herby flavor. I can say that I prefer this gravy to the gravy I had previously which was brown gravy, thought he brown gravy as I understand it is traditional for Poutine. The gravy did have a bit of a gelatin texture, but overall it was good. The Poutine included sour cream, bacon, and chives, which were all done well. Most if not all Poutine that I've seen comes with some sort of cheese curd on it, this was also included here, but the curds were obviously hand torn and placed on raw. This is not all bad, they had a good flavor, but the previous place I went fried their curds and it was really awesome, so as a suggestion, fry your curds! Also, some additional melted cheese wouldn't be bad here either. My only real complaint comes down to what you get for the price. Both food trucks I went to were around $9-$10, but Poutine in your mouth had 1/2 to 2/3 the portion for the price. It did leave me looking down and wondering how this was worth 9 dollars. The other Poutine place left me feeling extremely satisfied and feeling like I got a good deal on my lunch. I think its both important to have good quality food, and also to leave your customers feeling satisfied that they got their money's worth. All in all the food was good, and I don't have any major complaints about it. If given the choice between Poutine in your mouth and its competition, I'd likely choose their competition due to the value issue. If you are looking for Poutine or if you've never tried it, I do suggest you give it a try. Poutine is very good, and this is a good place to get it. read more

I ordered poutine from their truck once a couple months ago and I really enjoyed the food. I especially liked the fact that they had a veggie gravy. They told me they had a new restaurant/spot at 357 W 400 N. Twice I've tried going during their hours and they've been closed without a note or they've been out of town. With their already limited hours and the unreliability of being open for business, I've given up on trying to get food here. read more

I love poutine with brown gravy and lots of melty cheese curds. Poutine Your Mouth's version has neither. A different take on poutine, the two dabs and a small dollop of vegan cheese were tasty. But, the strongly-herbed gravy was too strong a flavor to compete with the tiny amount of cheese. The fries were great -- skin on and cooked to perfection. But, expensive for the amount -- a 4x6" boat for $8. All in all, an okay take on Canadian poutine, served hot and quickly. Unfortunately, it left me craving the real deal. read more

The last time I had poutine this good, I was in Canada, the home of Poutine! I can say that I couldn't genuinely eat this on a regular basis without my stomach entirely hating me, it's French fries, cheese, and gravy after all, but when I have the craving for some amazing comfort food I always check their website or Instagram and find where they're at next. I'm always a stickler for the traditional poutine, but I've tried a few of their specials of the day and haven't been disappointed in the slightest. Particularly their poutine with Eggs, bacon and syrup in it is pretty dang delicious. The servings are pretty sizable, too big for me to eat alone, and I think it could reasonably be shared with someone else if you wanted to, but I've also successfully demolished a plate once or twice with some real effort. Either way, nice servings, nice people, easy to find schedule, and always a variety of delicious ways to eat Canada's comfort food. read more
