Best place for a delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup ! A couple of my favorites are "Send It" which has multiple meats, and "The Gorgonzola" which has slices of Granny Smith apple, Gorgonzola and candied bacon. The owner and staff are always very nice and provide great service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus they are a permanent food truck at Stemma, where you can grab a drink, bring the kiddos, and doggos ![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Who doesn't love grilled cheese and soup and the delicious beer of Stemma? This new place has taken over Sweet as Waffles's old truck and will be a new fixture at Stemma. They have a variety of grilled cheese sandwiches, and we got the two largest ones on the menu. They are not for the faint of heart - there's a LOT of cheese and it's a pretty good size sandwich. You have to reaaaaally like cheese because these sandwiches are packed with it. While ours were a little on the unmelted side, it was still quite full with three different kinds of cheese. We also added the jalapeños, which adds a kick. I couldn't finish mine, and my two dining compatriots were very full. Like "we might not need dinner" full. (To be fair, it was a pretty late lunch.) They are a liiiiitle light on the chips and pickle as a side, and a bit heavy on the sauce side, but that's easily corrected. I'd order light on the sauces, or on the side next time. But the point is, there will definitely be a next time. The French Kiss is calling my name.

Bro so freaking good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a cute little food truck we visited in a Saturday evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It wasnt busy and they had a sitting area outside, along with some other food trucks and its next to a brewery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The person taking out order was super friendly and recommended the the burnt side down signature sandwich which was SO GOOD. The chrisp cheese on the outside really does it for me. It was so favorful and gooey and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was so nice on a cold day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely come here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the whole Stemma vibe and having Burnt Side Down on site as a food option is just an added bonus.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Those grilled cheese are the best in town, by far. My one knock would be is the tomato soup. I believe having a good tomato soup with the grilled cheese sandwiches takes it to the next level and yours tastes like it's from a can (maybe it is). I opt for a side of mac and cheese from Big Sticks which is top notch.

Amazing grilled cheese, would recommend and will be returning. Had the burnt side down grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Incredible beautiful mastery. We had the Gorgonzla and it was perfection. Crisp cheese edges are the gateway of apples, green, crisp, juicy. Savory, tangy gorgonzola tip toes across your tongue. Next creamy, cheesy toasty bliss. Indulgent, and so, so satisfying. Nod to the Green Frog! Cherished times.

A tiny kitchen produces a lot of food. I was there Sunday afternoon looking for lunch the nice woman at the counter answered my question and took my order. She warned me that it would take some time to prepare my lunch as she handed me a device that would alarm me when my lunch was ready. I bought the Bham and the Gorgonzola along with a dessert. All three with tip was 33.15. The ambiance isn't much the Burnt side down is in a trailer at the Stemma brewery.

Amazing! The people working here are so nice. The sandwiches - INCREDIBLE. I got the Burnt Side Down Signature sandwich. It's creamy and cheesy and bacon-y and just pure delicious. No one ingredient is overwhelming. The tomato soup is also yummy - and I'm not a big tomato soup person. We got the jalapeño appetizer sandwich to share. Also amazing! My son had the same and loved everything. We live in Seattle but our son is at Western. I think I might be having a lot of grilled cheese in my future!

Wax slip my daughter pulled out of her sandwich
    Chris W.

My kiddo bit into her grilled cheese sandwich to find the wax slip/separator from the cheese inside. Kind of gross. She was really bummed because we were on our way to the ferry so we couldn't take it back. Probably just wax coated (hopefully not plastic) but not the healthiest or appetizing melted in with the cheese.

    Vegan Olivia

I ordered Burnt Side Down on a whim, and was extremely impressed! Both the Vegan Olivia and the Burnt Side Down grilled cheese exceeded expectations. I ordered to go, and everything was packed so nicely and was ready right on time. I will be going here again, but in person next time - the outside dining area was so cute. Plus, there is a brewery and other food trucks to try while you're at it.

Super yummy fun sandwich on a Sunday afternoon . Enjoyed a date day with my husband and the caprese sandwich was just the thing I needed to go along with my cherry bomb from Stemma. Great atmosphere, laid back vibe. Definitely will be back.

I was so excited to try Burnt Side Down, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the signature sandwich, and it was huge with so much delicious cheese, the right amount of pesto, and just had that perfect crunch on the outside of the bread. I will definitely be back to try some more flavors. The staff were attentive and friendly. The coolest little location too at Stemma.

Wow couldn't say anything more! This cute little food truck is in the parking lot of Stemma Brewery next to a bbq truck and a Birria taco truck. The smells when you pull in are heavenly! Cool place to meet up with friends and I only realised it was dog friendly when I was leaving, otherwise I would've had mine out of the car. The owner/server of Burnt was super helpful with suggestions for all customers coming to the window. Since it was my first time here I went for the Classic grilled cheese on sourdough with a cup of tomato soup (advertised as Campbells ). They give you a pager to signal when your order is ready. What I didn't expect: The cheese skirt! So crunchy and huge!! And the soup was made with water not milk, yay!!! Just like my mum made in the 1970s lol They have lots of choices of sandwiches with different fillings like French onion, Italian, and a pesto version. Also add ins like bacon and jalepenos etc She had baskets of crayons for kids to keep busy while you wait because they're cooking real food and it takes time. I thoroughly enjoyed my soup and sandwich, when you try not to eat carbs that grilled cheese is like you've died and gone to heaven! Tbh the only thing I would've done differently would've been a sprinkle of maldon salt on the outside of the bread, but that's gilding the lily. The sandwich was delicious. I'll surely come back here and bring some friends. Thanks to Yelp for the suggestion.

The women working were DOLLS! So sweet. I could tell they had the ordering counter down to a science and were super efficient while still being friendly and spending time with each customer. We simply had to give it a try. And continue coming back. Type of cuisine: Turkish fare - from simit and borek, to cardamom or pistachio infused Turkish coffee, apricot and apple teas, baklava and lokum. We have always loved the foods, mostly imported directly from Turkey. Ambiance: Sweet and cozy, the space is full of beautiful Turkish art/craft - from lighting to seating, from merchandise to the tasty treats served, we love our bay window benches and small, tiled tables that barely hold everything we order. The brother-owners are always wreathed in smiles and humble, grateful service. The music is soft, but always a surprise - sometimes Turkish, sometimes rock, sometimes jazzy, always fun and unobtrusive. We also love the huge barrel "tables" used as outdoor seating under a covered "patio". What I ordered: I was sad to hear that they no longer make/serve their refreshing and lovely apricot tea, so I chose a sweet cardamom coffee. My sister each chose a turkish coffee and pistachio coffee. A hot chocolate for my husband and two apple teas for the children. We ordered one of each selection of baklava available - pistachio, walnut, chocolate pistachio, halva and another walnut treat. Not to mention peach and blackberry lokum. We also ordered a potato & cheese sandwich; they ran out of the bread so substituted potato borek topped with cheese for our savory snack. What I loved: Always the service; quiet, humble, spot on. The coffee is truly magnificent and fully takes you back to Turkey. The baklava is sweet and soaked in honey, just like the cafes in Istanbul, and the beautiful lighting mesmerizes each of us every time. Why I loved it: It's always a little escape entering the doors of Ashuri, and like a mini vacation in a home away from home. Cost: Average
