DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!!!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!! I brought my daughters car here and used a coupon. They brought the car back and 10-15 minutes later, they tell me the car failed. The worker tells me to bring the car home, let it get cold, start it and let it idle for five minutes. I was told to do this several times and then bring the car back. So, we did what they asked and brought the car back at a later date. Low and behold, the car did not pass smog again. That would not be a big deal, but I had to repay a smaller fee to have it retested again. The sales person told me to do the same thing, let it get cold, start it and let idle for 5 minutes. Once we do this for a couple days, bring the car back. When and if I bring the car back, I will have to pay full price again and start this all over. REALLY!!! If there is a problem with the car and its not passing smog, why not tell your customers to go fix the problem instead of scamming them into trying this idle BS? I would not have been very skeptical of this business, but I brought my daughters car to another Poway Smog station right after this scam and the car passed first time. Hmmmm, how is that possible? Do you use different machines? DONT BOTHER GOING HERE PEOPLE!!!! read more

Super fast! Second time there since they did great the first time. Parked, and a guy from the garage came out and asked if I was getting a smog. I said yes, and he asked if he could get the keys and start immediately. I went in to fill out the minimal paperwork, and within 10 minutes the car was done and ready to go. I have been coming here for three straight years now and have even talked my boss into bringing in our work vehicles. I am rarely there for more than 15 minutes without an appointment. They take your paper work, your keys and do all the work for you. Reasonably priced with coupons available the turn around time and friendly service are worth the price of admission. I don't write a lot of Yelp reviews, but this business absolutely deserves a perfect rating and it's no wonder they have such great reviews from their customers. I've never had to do a smog test before, so when I got my DMV renewal notice requiring smog test, I was irritated and I put it off until the last minute, dreading having to go to one of the countless 'smog stations' I've driven by the last ten years I've lived in CA. I expected this experience to be painful, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this company's positive rating on Yelp so decided to go here. I expected to have to wait an hour or more, sit in a dirty, stinky and loud waiting area. But I was wrong. This was a great experience from the start until 20 minutes later when they were finished. The gal at the front desk (sorry, I didn't get your name) actually greeted me at my car, took me into the clean, comfortable waiting area (that even has free wifi), took down my info and told me it'd be about 30 minutes, she was super friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. 20 minutes later she told me it was all done, I paid and I was on my way. Great customer service. My 2012 jeep wrangler failed the smog check. They informed me precisely what was causing the problem. I was able to take that information to the Poway Jeep service department that reset the truck's computer resulting in the sensors coming back online.
