I hadn't been to Powder Mills Park since I was a kid, but we decided to go on impromptu visit to see the hatchery. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The trout were out and visible in the pond. Feeding the fish was fun and relaxing. Worth the commute if not super close. Next time, we will explore the trails.

Powder Mill Park and Hatchery has a nice hilly terrain for hikes through the meadows and wetlands. This 380 acre park offers a unique natural setting with creekside meadows and flower fields. They provide a variety of recreational activities. Plus an on-site fish hatchery. On your way in is the famous unique mushroom house.

Update to add this park has some prime geocaching, branch teepees and a hidden swing!

This was the perfect little place to have a quick picnic! Was very neat to see the trout in varying ages and the park is super clean!

Neat little park harvesting fish. Great for children & adults alike. It has an area for picnic with big table & benches & grill. There is an administration bldg. Adjacent to it public barhrooms that were closed when I arrived. I didn't see any vending are/ food court Near the pk is located the Pod House, an oddity.

Great little park within walking/running distance from my house. There's a playground for kids and a fish hatchery where you can feed the fish from the food dispensers for a quarter. Also located inside the park is the Mushroom house, a private residence built on tall central struts. The different rooms resemble mushrooms. The mushroom house is located adjacent to the fish hatchery and is worth a look if you're in the area. There's a number of nice trails that snake through the park. In the winter, there's even a small ski hill where I believe you can rent equipment and take lessons. There are no garbage cans in the park so take out any trash you generate, please.

Well maintained park. The fish hatchery was great to take the kids to and they enjoyed the playground. Bring quarters to feed the fish!

It is a nice little park super close to my house. The fish hatchery is a nice place to go with little kids who need something to do.

I love this park. The fish hatchery is very cool. In the spring there is a daffodil trail with an innumerable number of yellow blossoms.
