This long-standing local Florist has hit an incredible LOW. I was so disappointed in the flowers sent to a relative's funeral this week. There were only a handful of Lilies and Roses jammed into a glass vase...compared to the arrangement I picked out and paid for at their place of business. I needed a same day flower delivery to a relative who is in a rehabilitation center after a hospital stay. I live in Pennsylvania, but I am originally from the Michiana area and recalled the name Powell the Florist. What a lucky break it was that I remembered this business. I did not need to call anyone else for comparison because it was obvious that I was getting great value and service from the moment my call was answered. I asked for something very cheerful with one red rose (personal meaning) That was between $50 and $60. my request was clearly understood and Brandon went to work immediately to create a lovely bouquet that matched my vision. I asked if it was possible to receive a picture via text message before delivery, which was met with an enthusiastic yes! The initial phone call through the text message showing the bouquet took less than half an hour. I don't feel like quality was compromised because of my rush request. I am absolutely satisfied and so pleased with the customer service I received from Brandon at Powell the florist. He gets five stars + in my book. Because I have lots of family in that area, I will definitely be using their services again, and I will be sure to ask for Brandon's help when I call. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place family owned And some of the kindest people you'll ever meet! They care so much and they are so invested in making sure that they do a wonderful job so that your special day is the best it can be! I was overly impressed with the design. When I called to order flowers for my daughter "just because," I just asked for a fresh flower arrangement, no other details. Not only did the flowers arrive exactly when I asked, but the arrangement itself was spectacularly gorgeous! It went beyond my expectations, and my daughter was thrilled. Horrible experience. Flowers showed up to the church in all the wrong colors. Then they came up with a bull crap reason saying the flowers are out of season, which they might be, but when placing the order that was never said. They said they would be delivered in my colors of burgundy, blush and white flowers, but I only got white. Customer service was terrible. Lady on the phone was RUDE beyond belief! Not even slightly sympathetic to the situation. Read fine print for what you sign and just know when they mess up it'll turn into your fault and they will be extremely disrespectful towards you. You're dealing with brides on their wedding day! The most important day of their lives and you treat them poorly. WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS FLOWER SHOP AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE ON THEIR WEDDING DAY! read more
