The first time I tried power city was at a yelp event and it was a sample bite of their bagel and cream cheese and I knew I need to check them out for a full sized meal. I stopped in here on the way to the outlets and I was glad to see they were open on a Sunday (a lot of smaller cafes are not). I went with the Manhattan which was a bagel sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese and got a side of cream cheese too! The jalapeño honey is amazing! I had leftover to take home and put on an English muffin the next day. The breakfast sandwich was good but I didn't realize the egg was a fried egg so if that's not your style you should keep that in mind. I'm not sure if they would do a scrambled but it's worth asking next time. The place has a really cool vibe in the inside and also had a sign talking about the history of Niagara Falls and the history of making power which is cool for visitors. read more

The only downside and my reason for 3 stars is that a bagel with pastrami egg and cheese and a small coffee came to $17.00 almost ran out the store scared. This is one of my all time favorite lunch spots, and a hidden gem in Niagara Falls. My usual go to is the roast beef sandwich, but the three cheese panini is also delicious! Their breakfast sandwiches are also amazing, as all of their bagels are made fresh daily, and they have a wide assortment of coffees, teas, and lattes. Their menu is a little on the smaller side, but they do have a good variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads, with vegan and veggie options as well! Unfortunately they close at 3 p.m. everyday so they're not open for dinner. Occasionally they'll host special events they'rin the evening such as Harry Potter trivia The only downsides are that they are a bit on the pricier side, and you'll probably have to wait around 15 minutes for your food. If you're in a rush I recommend calling ahead and ordering your food for pickup, as they are always willing to accommodate. read more

Needed a quick bite before going on our long drive back to Queens. This place had good reviews, but our group wasn't as impressed. Parking: They have a private parking lot that has around 10-12 spaces plus there's street parking around so it wasn't too difficult finding somewhere to park. Food: We ordered the three cheese panini, maple cured ham, tomato soup, potato salad, and hot cocoa. Out of all we ordered, I liked the three cheese panini and tomato soup the best. It's not anything special that I would go back to, but it was good enough for something quick. I was expecting the maple cured ham to be sweet and flavorful, but it tasted just like ham you could get anywhere. The tomato soup was creamy and a little spicy (cause of the pepper they put in). Hot cocoa wasn't too bad either - it wasn't watery or bland. Service: The cashier was helpful in giving the three cheese panini recommendation and patient in waiting for us to decide what to get as it was our first time there. It wasn't busy at all when we came there at 2pm on a Saturday so the food came very quickly. After eating, we then cleaned up after ourselves. Overall, it's a good enough place for a quick bite or maybe even their soup. Otherwise, you may have better luck with the breakfast menu or pastrami items just as the other reviews say. read more

Ordered here with a few coworkers today of mines for lunch for pick up. After we picked up we noticed a few or the orders were wrong. I ordered a turkey club add bacon and my turkey club had no bacon. I called back to let them know and the man on the phone was very loud and jittery. He asked for the order name and I begin to tell him the person who took the order never asked for a babe and he started yelling "12:15" over and over again, then went on to "how can I help? What do you want from me" repeatedly before I could even explain to him what the issue was then he offered to make the sandwich over to which I said I only get 30 mins from lunch and would not have time to drive over there to pick up a new sandwich, a refund would be better, he then offered to drop it off and would be there in about 15mins. I let him know I would met him downstairs in 15mins at the employee door. I went down there and I did not see anyone so I called the people back, another either answered and said he had already dropped it off, I told I was at the door waiting and I need not have then the man got on the yelling "peach sweater and brunette hair" over and over again, I then explain to him I have no idea who that is and that I worked on the 3rd floor I have no idea who is on the 1st and asked why he did not just wait at the door for me as planned because now my food is missing in the building he then again repeated over and over "peach sweater and brunette hair" so I hung up the phone. I went around the building looking for the food, I could not find it then returned upstairs, when I got there the the girl in "peach sweater and brunette hair" was waiting, she told me the mad banging on the employee door and when she went to open it, he started to handed her the food so she asked who was it and he starting yelling "12:15" angrily at her and left. My co worker also ordered a pastrami melt and got a Ruben instead. We all agreed on never ordering from this place again after the awful service. read more

Let's talk to the character of the staff. There was a disgruntled patron who arrived after 11 for breakfast. The sign nicely says lunch starts at 11. Well the cook went above and beyond at 11:20 to make the patron happy and pleased. The patron carried on to other visitors in disbelief that breakfast magically goes away at 11. Most people can read and understand that lunch rush (which was underway) takes precedent. To the cook, smile on, rock on. You crushed the day. Sampled the veggie schemer, plain and had a veggie scramble sandwich. The veggie scramble was very tasty, I have to admit I was a little surprised because I didn't know what to expect. Spinach, mushroom, roasted red peppers and goat cheese. Tried the mixed berry scone, also good. Small iced coffee with raw sugar light cream, brewed right. Staff was a little scattered but nice, the girl working the grill was the only one and clearly working hard to get orders out. It wasn't packed but got a line while we were there. Only complaint at all was there were some larger fat sections left on the pastrami that were a bit chewy. I love the fat...but a little much and needed to be pulled out. We were visiting just into off season and the cafe was pretty quiet during our visit. The menu is primary sandwiches, salads and a couple of soup options. They also offer beer, wine and coffee. They have some child's menu options as well. The prices were a bit higher than I would expect at home but not unreasonable as some of the others in the area. The service was particularly good. A friend and I stopped for lunch while visiting the falls. We wanted something healthier and less heavy than fast food but didn't want to wait for a sit down place. Nice place, it's more a coffee/bagel shop in the morning. I went there for breakfast thinking it had a full menu but it doesn't. I was told by a local to go here for breakfast so that's why I thought full menu. My lady and I got a couple delicious bagel sandwiches, coffees and a scone. All very good and fresh. The only reason it's not 5 star is just do to a few small things. 1- they open at 7:30 (in the afternoon) lol 2- it was not as clean as it should have been, and I say that because I was the third person in the door at 7:30 AM. 3- it's not fast, and that's fine. Ahhhh....the wonders of Niagara Falls. This deli-style eatery is a local owned gem in the Cataract City! There are two entrances, one in the front and one on the side. There's plenty of street parking or there is a parking lot to the right side of the eatery. The chalk board menu is very visible on the wall behind the counter. Order what you desire then they will call you when it's ready. The inside is very spacious and there are plenty of tables for general seating. There are a few plush couches and chairs to the front and the very back of the establishment so you can comfortably sip a latte and relax. I saw some games too like chess that you could play if you feel so inclined. Onto the menu....Get the house-cured pastrami or corned beef! Oh so flavorful, tender and absolutely delicious! All of the other meats and cheeses are Boar's Head which I LOVE! One of my favorite sandwiches here is the Cataract Classic and I request that the italian bread is toasted. The bagels, scones and bread are house-made. I've had the berry scone and it was delicious. Complimentary cucumber infused or fruit infused water is always available which is a really nice touch. They also offer beer, mimosas and wine...PERFECT! One HAS TO stroll on over to NIAGARA FALLS STATE PARK before or after your breakfast/lunch because it's practically in their backyard! read more
