Very cool place for a quick bite and relaxation! We stopped here for late breakfast around 11.30am. They are serving lunch menu at this point. We had two turkey sandwiches and one regular/one iced coffee. Smooth coffee and delicious sandwiches. Their chips is different, looks home made and tasted good. It is a big cafe with some outdoor seating or well-air conditioned, comfy insides. We liked the casual vibe here aNd enjoyed our quick stop. I love the look and feel of this place. You would think you're on Elmwood Ave., not in Niagara Falls (which has never been known for trendy, hip places), the vibe is excellent. Maybe Niagara Falls is changing. The room is spacious, industrial-like with high ceilings giving it an open airy feel. There are seating areas with comfy couches and many tables that aren't crowded together. The barista's know what they're doing creating fantastic latte's. All with a light, fun attitude. The food looked really good and fresh. I'll have to come back to try something off the extensive sandwich menu. Pastrami, capicola, portabello mushrooms, goat cheese...ingredients you can mix and match to make the sandwich you want. The bagels looked especially good. I enjoyed looking at the pictures lining the back wall showing the power stations being built along the gorge years ago. I've never seen pictures like those before. Best bagel I've ever had! I stopped here while traveling to the falls and got a latte and sesame bagel with cream cheese. Delicious! Beats any NYC style bagel I've had before. It was wonderfully homemade! Wish I bought a dozen bagels to bring back home to Jersey. Also, great atmosphere with good music and friendly faces! Walking distance to hotels near the falls so great for tourists but also seems to be a favorite among locals. read more

The quick: Good drinks, decent food, probably the hippest café on the American side of the Falls. The details: I've been twice for lunch, each time getting something different. First time had the chicken salad and a tea. The chicken salad was super salty, I had a hard time finishing it all. Could have been a fluke, but i didn't want to risk it. Second time I had a cup of the chicken dumpling soup, a side of bread and butter (wasn't included with the soup), and a latte with honey. The soup was hot, hearty, and not overly salty. Bread was fresh cut. The latte though was quite delicious. I'm not sure who they get their beans from or who made it, but it was spot on. I do feel the prices are a little high for The Falls, but they aren't extraneous. I just generally don't want to spend $12+ for lunch. They have a modern - hip decor, play good music, and have a patio space. Off street parking and convenient location. The Falls can only benefit from having a spot like this. If you're visiting for the first time, or live locally make sure to jot this place down. A small place, adequate parking on the side or on the street usually. Fabulous fresh made in house selections. Known for their sandwiches, pretty big you could easily split if you're not that hungry. I highly recommend the pastrami. The owners really love Niagara Falls, and I love that. Lots of artsy fun things to buy to take home as souvenirs, and there's plenty of little treasures local visitors will want to purchase also. Coffee is delicious! Not an inexpensive place, but worth every cent. Plus you can walk to the Niagara Falls State Park and see the beautiful cataracts in 20 minutes, to work off your sandwich. read more

Went here for breakfast with my girlfriend one morning during our trip to Niagara. We wanted to try out the Third Street Retreat but they were closed. A local advised us about a decent place like this one near by and we drove off to Power City Eatery. We entered and walked up to the counter and was looking at the specials. We saw the bagel of the day was something like SoCal or something western and it looked enticing. We ordered the special and their famous pastrami bagel. As well as some coffee and a scone to start off the morning. I went for the coconut shot coffee and it was really tasty. I finished it rather fast, coconut is one of my weak spots. My girlfriend went for a hazelnut shot and it tasted just as good. We also split a scone together which has chocolate chips and oats in it. That part of our meal had us very pleased with the dining experience until our main bagels came. The pastrami bagel I got was nice and warm but that was about it. The bagel was overpowered by the cheese which I found odd when pastrami usually had such a strong and tasty flavor but it just wasn't enough. Maybe if there was more pastrami I'd get a better taste but I added salt and it made it much more enjoyable. Was disappointed about that since that's what I see is the "thing" to get here. The reason I'm giving a bad score is the "special" we got which had avocado, bacon, egg, cheese and tomato. Before I took a bite I noticed brown and black inside the bagel and opened it to inspect and the avocado was rotten and spoiled. We were disgusted in how a service could serve rotten food to us and charge a fortune for it. We scraped off the rotten avocado and ate the rest of it and it was just overall mediocre. I don't see myself coming here again for their bagels maybe just stick to the coffee and scones. Hope this review helps. read more

I really enjoyed the decor. Kind of an industrial look. We got breakfast sandwiches. The bagels were a little tough and my kiddo with loose teeth seriously struggled he managed. The veggie scramble bagel sandwich was amazing. The goat cheese really made it. The sandwiches were generous size where my ten year old and I split a sandwich. We got coffee that had a shot of pumpkin spice but I honestly didn't taste the spice but the coffee was still pretty good. Me and my friend are from Ohio and stopped in for coffee and bagels. As we were sitting and waiting for my name to be called a tall, skinny, blonde girl brought out coffees to our table and said "I called your name for these coffees and you didn't come get them, we are going to do the same for your food so make sure you get up and get your food" in such a rude voice. At the time there was a large group of ladies standing next to our table so we legit didn't hear it, wasn't purposeful at all. She embarrassed me with how she said it. This is the only breakfast we tried during our stay in Niagara falls, so we have nothing to compare it, but we enjoyed what we had. We tried Brooklyn breakfast, veggie scramble bagel sandwich, and scones, which were all good. This was my first visit to this location. I met a friend there for lunch, it was her choice. My friend has excellent taste. The decor is industrial to match the name. My friend told me that the walls would soon be covered with industrial scenes of The Power City's Past. This is a breakfast and lunch location. Coffee lovers will be quite happy here. I ordered the Reuben, it wasn't the best Reuben I ever had but it was close. The breads for the sandwiches are baked on site. I dropped in for lunch since I work in NF. They have a smaller menu, and also daily soups. I will say that since their menu is limited it would be nice if the breakfast sandwiches were available all day. The veggie sandwich was alright. It came on sourdough bread but could use some more content. Sprouts or something else to make it a little more hearty. Overall prices were comparable to most lunch places. Sandwiches come with homemade chips as well as pickle .Not a bad place to stop in, and would come back to try another option for sure. read more

So glad this place exists close to work. The employees are always friendly even with them working their butt off!!! Sandwiches are great, never had a bad one. Still dying to try their corned beef. Customer service is on point. Gets a little backed up at lunch time but they always apologize for the wait. You can call your order ahead so it can be worked on ahead of time. Attended a trivia night here a few weeks ago, through Trivia with a twist. It was Harry Potter trivia, not much else would bring me out this way. The space was cute, and bigger than expected but definitely not big enough for this kind of event. They simply didn't have the space behind the counter to accommodate the huge line of trivia participants. It took almost an hour to order and then get food. I got a three cheese panini, and my friend got a veggie sandwich, both came with chips. I also got some of the Harry Potter soevuskty items- a glass of butterbeer and treacle tart. The food was okay, really nothing special. Nothing I would come back for on purpose, not when I live in Buffalo. The butterbeer was really nicely done but was a Lottie pricey ($6). The staff was very nice, I honestly just felt bad, I don't think they were ready for Potter nerds. read more

I was excited to try this eatery but the moment my friend and I entered the door we weren't greeted and instead got some blank stares from the staff. I literally had to walk up the counter and say good morning and the response lacked enthusiasm. I ordered an egg sandwich with cheese which tasted okay and tried an apple cider beer which was good. This is a deli-style restaurant. I dropped in for lunch with several clients for a quick meal. The pastrami was the most popular in the group, and for good reason. They serve a solid pastrami. I have to say that I felt the lay-out was a bit off for me. It didn't really flow well at the counter - the drink 'fridge was before the ordering station which caused some consternation when patrons realized that bottled drinks are really the only option (other than coffee). Picking up your food runs you right back into the congestion of the counter. Not my favorite option in Niagara Falls. But large portions and solid meats... read more

A hidden gem in Niagara Falls! I love stopping in here to do work or just grab a coffee. Extra points for having beer and wine!!!!! I love any coffee shop with adult beverages. They have a large lunch menu and lots of bagels. I've never partaken but I see lots of people ordering food here. Note: they don't have skim milk for coffee drinks. May be something they should consider adding for those of us who can't stand whole milk. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars...even 20 stars, I would! Luckily I work less than five minutes away from this awesome establishment and get to eat there once or twice a week. It's the kind of place where the staff gets to know you by name and by your favorite menu item (mine is the iced coconut macchiato or the iced coconut mocha latte that was on special today). So obviously you know they have amazing coffee beverages...but the food.....the food is out of this world. It is all fresh and homemade right in house!
