They came to my mother in laws house this week. I caught the whole convo on the ring doorbell. The sales person was very pushy and was asking a ton of questions about her schedule. She was telling my MIL that she had mold on her roof (it's dirt). She said it was "in the sheathing" and told her a replacement was needed. I have 30 minutes of conversation on her ring doorbell and all of it is horrifying. High pressure is an understatement...I'm very disappointed. Beware, beware and beware! read more

Overall the house looks good, but Power made me wait to fix the damage they caused. My dryer vent was closed off and removed. When mentioned, a cover was installed, but I cannot connect a dryer because there is no pipe. The vent to exhaust carbon monoxide from my fireplace was removed and sealed, which is a safety hazard. The tech removed a large portion of my banister for convenience and attached it back with visible drywall screws and is a make shift job. It is not level or even. It looks horrible! Another banister was cut on one side and is not flush with the wallMy safety covers were removed from my electrical outlets and cheap covers were installed crookedly. I am still picking up nails. My long satellite cable wires, which were concealed, are now draped over the ground and hanging from the house. I had no telephone service for 2 weeks plus. There is a visible hole in the siding near the window frame. The tech said that the siding would move over and I wouldn't see it anymore. I must look stupid to him. The shutters are uneven and the siding is crooked over the garage door. My siding was finished on March 9, 2026 and Power made me wait until March 30th to send someone out to fix these problems or makeshift them. I am feeling very disappointed and very sad while waiting for my enormous bill. read more

I never heard of power prior to them knocking on my door. after their consultant did a thorough inspection I decided to move forward with replacing my roof and gutters. the experience lived up to expectations which is a breath of fresh air from my past experiences with other contractors. the lifetime warranty with labor was the icing on top. Sigh..... here I am updating my review of Power... again. Their products are great. This is not about the quality of the work, but about the business practice. I'm now selling my house and had a title review run. It turns out that Power never closed the permit on their work, which has now expired. Our closing may be delayed because a new permit must be opened, reviewed, the work inspected, and finally put to rest. I wouldn't have had an issue if I hadn't called the Port Chester building department (very nice people there, btw) and been told that Power told them it was my responsibility to close it. They were like, "Um, no. That's not how this works." Back when our work was complete, I spoke on the phone with someone, asked repeatedly if everything was done, and asked if I could take the permit out of the window. I was assured it was all set and the permit could come down. Well, that turned out not to be true. My husband had some words with them, and I grant you he has a fiery temper, but the lies told by the rep justify it in my opinion. They said they closed the permit. Fib #1. They said they'd review and call back. Fib #2 - haven't heard a single word (though, admittedly, our agent has, just no one there has updated us personally). They told the building department it wasn't their responsibility. Fib #3. They are taking steps to rectify the situation and I will give them credit for that, but we never should have gotten to this point in the first place. Use Power at your own risk and do your due diligence at all steps of the process. read more

Gil the Quality assurance guy was monitoring everything and informing us along the way. Ok, today is Aug 23,2024 The review I did for this business I had to come to update.. They are the worst company I have ever worked with.. YES...ofcourse, when I had this done the first day, I gave a review of excitement. ..since the first day .. I have had them here at my house like 3 times already .. to fix this and that, and yet they were here on 7/15/2024 for them to come here with NOTHING FIXED this time for them to tell me someone will be back Sept 3rd 2024 .. My home has been making cracking sounds throughout the night and days. (It's Creepy) I have nails going through my siding in a lot of places.. The front of my house, omg.. I am embarrassed to even look at and have my neighbors walk by it now to tell say (omg. Sorry to see your house looking like this ) yeahh I tell them that's what 36,000 gets you ...This company really needs to tear these off and start from scratch (free) .. and not have this done in the winter times .. my house was done in the winter and when putting it up was put on to tight .. that's the reason for the creepy sounds.. DO NOT HIRE POWER. Spent almost 70k on windows and gutters. Sales reps. Are extremely pushy and I power dont want to hear anything but payment. I still have 3 windows that dont work and gutters down spouts were not tied into drainage pipes. They have cancelled appts. And showed up on days that weren't confirmed. Power Remodeling is quite expensive and you would think you would get better care and product. Again 3 windows need to be fixed or peplaced even though they were just installed. Our roof needed help, badly. A friend recommended Power HRG in response to my whining about not knowing anything about home renovations. In a millennial effort to not actually have to talk to a person, I filled out their form online; they were super-quick and responsive and called back within maybe a minute, foiling my effort to say I did a thing without actually doing anything. They sent out a very friendly guy named Joe, who very patiently walked through, took measurements, and explained everything very well, all while politely listening to my wife's and my stories about random things. Their pricing was fair, their explanations excellent, their materials top-notch. They've got a neat app that shows you where everything is in process, so you can stalk your windows as they're being manufactured (we also got new windows.) Steve, John, and the crews have all been extremely friendly. The roof took two days to install, or more like a day and a half. I had figured it would take weeks, but I know nothing about home improvement. The windows took about two hours. Which is faster than I could have built a Lego house. So, yay, them! Now we have huge gutters that won't get clogged, so I won't have to stand at the base of the ladder and fret as my wife cleans them. Also, no more leaks. We'll use them again, definitely. And we've got a great warranty, so if anything goes wrong, that's nice. Unless squirrels learn to use power tools. And I'm sure they'd be helpful in that instance, too! read more

Got my new roof done by this company. Everyone who I had been in contact with was super nice. From the salesmen, the roofers, and managers. First quote I got was quite high. They called me a few days later to say they don't believe I need everything that I was quoted for and they can give me a better price, so another sales guy came over and went over everything and redid the numbers. This time I signed the papers. Only thing I wasn't happy with was the price they wanted to charge me to do the roof on my shed as I wanted it done to match my house. At that price, I was just going to have someone else do my shed. The day before my house roof was to be done, I rethought my shed being done and called and spoke to a manager and told him I was very disappointed on the price they wanted to charge me to do my shed and I really wanted it don't at the same time and asked what he could do to make me happy because the cost I was paying for my house roof is high compared to other companies (they acknowledge thier prices are high, but it's the quality shingle they use and the 50 year warranty they give on thier work) They offered to do my shed at half the cost I was originally quoted, which was still higher then what I would have paid someone to just add shingles over the existing shingles seeing it is just a shed, but I was anxious to get it done the same day, so I took thier offer. The roofers showed up on time, were all very good and friendly. Used tarps to contain the mess, and did a really good job cleaning up. They even put my patio furniture back up on my deck. All in all, I am happy with the work and the look of my home with this beautiful new roof. read more

This is a big company so you've got one guy that pitches you on the project, a different guy who comes out to check measurements and prep, another guy who serves as project manager... The latter wasn't around very much at all, but the 2 crews that worked (siding and windows) were mostly open to questions and updates when I sought them. They did good work, for the most part, although they did DRILL DIRECTLY THROUGH THE SHINGLES ON OUR BRAND NEW ROOF AND THEN LEFT WITHOUT REPAIRING THE PENETRATIONS. This was among the few "loose ends" that I planned to address when still another person was to come for our Quality Assurance appointment. (We were told that both my wife and I had to be there and that we should plan on it taking several hours.) We had to reschedule our appointment and traded voicemails for a day or two and then.....nothing. And that's where we still are 11 weeks later. I did at length call our project manager, who did get back to me within a few days and swung by for a few minutes later that week. He said that at this point I shouldn't expect to have that Quality Assurance meeting, and he'd see that the few remaining items got taken care of. It's taken about 6 weeks to get *most* of these issues resolved as he manages 22 other projects in progress with seemingly no other support for bringing ours to completion. (The roof we paid our roofers to repair pending reimbursement by Power. I'm also to line up an electrician to reinstall several exterior lighting fixtures that they failed to reconnect after putting on siding.) And we still have extra siding and debris in the driveway that they haven't yet seen fit to collect after more than 2 and a half months. The thing is, Power went ahead and put their debit through to the financing company as if the project was finished--as if we'd had that comprehensive Quality Assurance meeting, as if we'd seen a final bill(!). The project's still not done--but we've been paying interest on it for the last 12 weeks. And when I called the warranty number to try and get some resolution, the man I spoke to said "that's life."
