I have been to this establishment at least 3 times, and I decided to try them because they advertised "appointments." This is where I'll start, as this is the primary reason for the 3 out of 5 scoring. They don't truly make appointments; when you call they give you a time to come in. However, when you get to the establishment they may only be 10 minutes into someone's full set. You then have to wait until they finish. This can be frustrating because of the time you spend waiting for service. Annie is the person who does my nails and she is good. I will note that I have noticed the polish job isn't always very smooth, and my nails are not painted on the sides and tips. I have also observed chipping within two weeks of service. During my first visit Annie was short and irritable with me because she was not ready at the time of my "appointment" and I had questions and concerns. Additionally, I have observed her be short and argumentative with another client. She later commented that the particular client was always a problem. If you are okay waiting I think both Annie and Henry are great. They are married and work "together" on your nails sometimes. If you are someone who prefers to make appointments and stick with them...this may not be the shop for you. But once we got seated the lady who did my pedi was very rude and told me to not move, when I wasn't even moving in the first place. She did everything else ok but by the end her mood shifted and she ended the pedi really quickly and didn't satisfy me. They are a little to fast and they don't take there time. I am a regular customer and usually the service is good. I have noticed that since Lee Lee has been away with her family the quality has been poor. Today I went in for a pedicure with gel polish. There was an older Asian man that completed the pedicure some of my toenails were round and some were square. The polish was not smooth and clean. The pedicure cost too much for this type of service. It's very unfortunate because I wanted this to my new nail salon. I visited last night and received a fill in cut down and nail design on 4 nails. The design didn't look like the image I provided so I returned this morning to have it changed. I understood that an additional amount may apply. Annie begin to speak loudly at me and creates a scene. I kept trying to calm her down as I explained that I just wanted something different. She then explained how much time she took in my nails and lost time for other customers. If she didn't have time for my service I could have come back. But to be blamed for spending more time on my nails was off putting. It's not good business to offer service if you don't have time to provide them then blame customers for the time you lost. It made me feel really uncomfortable. So at this point she is about to cry and another lady with copper toned hair is instigating in their native language. I keep attempting to calm the tech down, I'm the customer but I'm calming her down, 3rd attempt. I maintained my calm while she continued her worked up. Once I got her to calm down, I decided to leave. I apologized and explained that I'd go ahead and leave. At that moment it felt like a Karen situation. She begin causing a scene as a defense and I'm trying to calm her down. This was my second time visiting. And I loved my first experience! But this time made me feel so uncomfortable. To be offended because I didn't like the work is perfectly understandable. But the way she reacted and how she made the situation to appear as though I was the aggressor is not appropriate. And I understood that an additional fee for the change was involved. This all begin because I did understand the price point. I could barely express my confusion before she went off the rails. I hope this was just a bad day. But unfortunately I want be returning. Now I'm at another salon. So I never had a problem with paying for extra service. I'm a licensed esthetician and against my better judgement & on a tight schedule. Decided to stop in here for a lip & chin wax. I immediately stopped the lady once I realized that she was double dipping in the wax, no gloves on, wasn't taunting, didn't even clean the area before waxing. I told her that I'm licensed and she's practicing unsanitary. She said I've been waxing like this for 20 years. Not to even mention that she left extreme amounts of hair under my chin even after trying to tweeze them with tweezers that she just pulled out of a box. On July 5th, My male cousin was visiting from CA, and it was raining so I decided that we would visit Power Nails Salon for the first time close to home. They charged extra for my cousin to have a Pedi (with no polish). I never experienced this at any other salon in the past, but I thought what the heck,, so I paid the extra price. He asked them to buff his nails (no polish just to add shine, they said this would also be an extra charge). My nails started to chip before the evening was over. By Saturday evening my nails were peeling in big sheets. I didn't even have a mani for church on Sunday (duh!). Monday I called the Salon to complain, and asked for the supervisor (the worker said his name was Tony). She never put him on the phone, and said they do not guarantee their manicures. I was charged $32.00 for my pedi/mani, and I gave a $5.00 tip. When I asked her to tell Tony I wanted someone to reapply my polish, she said no, and she did not care if I did not return to patronize their business. I advise anyone to think before they use this salon. Bad manicure, peeling polish did not last 12 hours, very very poor customer service, and I never got to speak to the owner/supervisor. They did not provide a leg massage with the pedi either, nor did the tech shape or buff my nails. read more

I got my nails done on a Monday by Wednesday I had to go back and try to get them fixed once seated in station 6 a short thin lady proceed to file away the parts that had lifted (the guy in station 7 did them Monday) now once she finished it looked as though I needed a refill they sad that's all they could do an I was trying to get a free refill within two days I shouldn't need a refill. I try my best to not be this person. I'm very understanding when it comes to salons but is been months since I've been able to enjoy the luxury of a pedicure since I've delivered my 4 month baby....
