Absolutely loved Blazzo Nail Bar!! They were able to squeeze me in right before closing time. I broke a nail during the day at work and absolutely could not survive another day. This was the worst salon experience I have ever had . Let me start with the positives : They got my nail shape right . I like almond shape nails and a lot of places confuse it with oval or stiletto / but they shaped it perfectly . Now the rest of my experience: The staff was rude . I came in as a walk in but there was literally no one else in the salon. I explained I needed a fill in and pedicure . They took their time servicing me , and spent the whole time talking amongst themselves - I have no idea what they were saying but there was lots of eye rolling and giggling amongst themselves . Halfway through my pedicure someone comes over to start the fill in and I say never mind because I needed to leave by 12 at the latest ( when I came in I had 1.5 hr to kill by time they got to my fill in I had thirty mins ) they insisted that was plenty of time and continue to take their time, walk away and take breaks - again NO ONE ELSE was in the salon . When she began working on my nails she said I needed to take them all off and get a new set . I disagreed I legit just got a new set 1.5 week before . I explained I needed one nail taken off and that was my fault as I hit my hand really hard on a door and broke the nail but the rest were perfect . She then proceeded to try to wiggle three other nails to prove her point but they didn't move because there was nothing wrong ! I Explained I wanted a French tip at the very beginning . I told them my nails were acrylic . They then proceed to fill in my nail with another gel that had a purple hue - now keep in mind I'm getting French tip . So the natural nail bed part now is a glowing purple color. I mention this and they say ah yeah we use ( don't recall the name ) and your nails acrylic that's why it looks different. Um don't you think that's something to warn me of before starting ? I asked can they atleast paint that part a natural pink color - all of a sudden the lady doesn't speak well enough English to understand me . I am beyond annoy at this point not to mention it's now 12:01 . I told them I needed to leave by 12 at the latest and they took breaks , went to talk among themselves etc . So now I'm impatient I have clients calling me and I had to answer the phone . They get mad - though I told them I had to be done by now and they insisted they would be . I provided a picture to show how I want to the French tip because of the shape of my nail a straight line wouldn't look right , it needed to curve a bit . Did they listen ? No . It also looked like little air pockets on the 'natural' part . Again when I mention it no one seems to understand me now . Oh then the bill comes it is - $30 more than my regular shop for the same treatment with far lower quality work . Their basic pedicure ( and I do mean BASIC was $40 , $10 more than the average basic package ) and where the other $20 came from idk because again now all of a sudden no one speaks well enough English to understand me . I got up and left immediately didn't even let my nails dry because now I am 20 minutes late and the work they did was shotty and I knew I would have to get it redone that very day because I would NEVER walk around with the work that they did. This is the first time in my life I have never left a tip , or did I ? Because I was over charged $30 thy no one could explain . I decided to check this place out using ClassPass. I made an appointment and booked a basic manicure. Upon arrival I was greeted by one of the technicians. She was friendly and welcoming. I was immediately escorted to an open station. My manicurist arrived a few seconds later. The manicurist confirmed the service that I'd booked for the day. She presented me a large basket full of color samples to choose from. She prepared her station while I browsed the samples. The treatment went well. The manicurist did not rush through it. She did an great job cleaning up my cuticles filing and shaping my natural nails. She also gave me a nice hand massage. I liked the moisturizing products used. She made polite conversation as she worked. She applied a base coat, 2 layers of color (3 on some nails), and a top coat. I tipped her through cash app. This was a pleasant experience. I went here todayTuesday, June 15, 2021 and I will never return. I was charge $85 for a very mediocre gel manicure pedicure. The woman who did my nails said 50 then when I got to the register told me your total is 85, I said but she told me 50 when I was in the seat, she proceeded to say she meant only for the pedicure I'm so upset I've never spent more than $60 for a gel manicure pedicure especially if it looked like this. Beautiful space but terrible service. Had sns removed and new sns done and took around 2 hours to complete. I didn't get my nail technicians name, but he was an older Asian gentleman. I get sns every 4 weeks and this is the first time I've ever soaked my nails in acetone for around 15 mins. While they were soaking he cut his own nails in front of me with a clipper. He didn't cut my own nails down and I had to ask him to cut them prior to applying a base coat. He then used the same nail clipper he was using without any sanitation. My nails looks like crap, but I was assuming he would shape them after the sns was applied. The wrong top coat was painted on, so when cuticle oil was applied it started to remove the layers of sns I just spent an hour and 45 mins waiting on. A women had to come over and fix my nails, which only took 15 mins. I still got fully charged for my service. The woman was apologetic, but the man couldn't care less. I would give this place a 3.5. I LOVED my pedicure! The lemon, wax, scrub, had me feel relaxed. The 2 things I did not like was one, when the guy that was doing my nails made a rude comment. He was working on my right hand, but my Apple Watch on my LEFT hand was giving me alerts. When I checked my watch, he stated, "Do you have time to do your own nails?!" The only reason I didn't respond rudely is because I didn't want to leave with my nails undone. Also, he put soooo much oil on my hand, I felt he was being petty. I came in on 12/15 to get SNS and a pedi with Quad. She immediately put me in the chair for my pedi and got started. She has tools that I've never seen used in any nail salon anywhere. I tend to have ingrown nails and typically after a few weeks start to feel pain. It's been almost 3 weeks now and my polish still looks good and no pain from the ingrowns!! For the SNS, I chose to try the stiletto nails since it was the holidays and I would be off work for a few weeks. I even got a little "bling" on a couple of nails. Quad did an amazing job! As of a few days ago I had to cut my nails down as a couple of them broke...completely my own fault (cleaning, hit one on a door). I cut them all down except for the pinky's and they still look good (photo included). I'm giving 5 stars as Quad is amazing! I will be going back to see Quad for my SNS and pedi. I read the other comments and will say that the salon was under-staffed. There was another nail tech that was supposed to be coming in but didn't make it while I was there (several calls were made). Quad and the other young lady (forgot her name) were very professional and very good at their job. I realize you can't control how your employees will act and that's sad when you're trying to run a business. I've been to various other salons over the past 2 years living here in Atlanta and I've run into some good techs and some terrible ones. There was always someone in the salon that either didn't know what they were doing or knew what they were doing but was just rude!! Quad knows what she's doing and is very nice. Blazzo Nail Bar is a smaller Nail Salon so its best to man an appointment. You pay for what you get.... with that being said it's defiantly more expensive than your average nail salon. The salon is nicely decorated and very sanitary. Safety/ cleanliness is a high priority here , which helps to ease your mind while you enjoy your service during this time. They require you to sign a waiver acknowledging the covid-19 pandemic , their new policies due to the out break, require you to conform that you are not ill, and confirm you have not flown in the past 14 day . Everyone is wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing . Each station is wiped down after use and it smells clean in here. Now to my service ....Tina was amazing !!!! I got EXACTLY what I asked for. The exact same design she posted to Instagram. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I went to the salon a couple of weeks ago for a manicure and had such a good experience I went back again. This time The technician tried something new by blending two different types of nail polish. When the polish dried It cracked in the areas where the two polishes overlayed or mixed together so I called and spoke with the manager to see if I could just get a color change and I was told no that they do not guarantee their work. I wasn't asking for a new manicure I just wanted them to take off the color that was on there and replace it with something else. How much do you think that what cost them? They charge the customer about $5 It cost them much less than that. If taking care of a new customer is not worth $5 then it's not worth my returning to that salon. Taj fixed my nails! I came in this afternoon about an hour before close with a problem and left a very happy customer! I walked in to another salon Saturday with very nice, long almond-shaped nails. I needed a fill and had decided to change to coffin. So we are totally removing the tips and acrylic and starting from scratch. I showed her pictures I liked, explained that length and shape were important, etc. She said, "coffin" like duh, you want coffin nails, it's not rocket science, I got it. So I went on autopilot and walked out with trash for nails. (PHOTO: the yellow nails are the pics I gave her, the light pink are WHAT SHE GAVE ME and the darker pink is what I got at Blazzo today.) I guess most people would just move on but mails are important to me and I hated every single fingernail. So on Sunday I decided to have them removed AGAIN and done again. I walked in to Blazzo about an hour before close and not really thrilled I had to get my nails done all over again. Well, I'm so glad I did and that I found Blazzo. Taj and the ladies were so nice from the start, even though I showed up with a problem. I never once was made to feel like I was a pain in the neck. Taj was careful and patient removing my tips even though they did not want to budge as they were brand new. He not only LISTENED to what I wanted but also patiently endured me going on and on about how much I hated my nails and how I am a special case because I play a sport (I'm soooo special lol) and showing him my pictures and telling him what happened at the other place, and staring at the shape and length like I was watching every move, etc. I'm sure other people might have been irritated but they weren't. He just got to work and tried to help me solve my problem. The girls came over and we talked about it and they understood also. So as is shown in the photo here, what Taj gave me is what I wanted and had asked for. It kind of goes without saying that the work is excellent...or does it..? Because he did an absolutely beautiful job. But to me the biggest thing is that he listened to me and also was so patient when I brought him a lot of work/a problem what with removing the brand new tips and acrylic. But he listened to me, unlike the other person, and didn't make me feel like I was a complainer or high maintenance. Also--he didn't make a comment, say no, try to shorten the length, make them super thick, etc when I told them my sport was basketball. This happens a lot, believe it or not. Anyway, such a great experience. I was listened to, and got beautiful nails done the way I wanted them from kind, friendly people in a nice salon. I have been going to this nail salon since December 2020 and I'm completely disgusted by the level of customer service and lack of customer appreciation I received today. 2 weeks ago 5/7 I spent $134 getting my nails and feet done. I wanted designs on my nails and was told it was $4 per nail. I come back today for a fill in and request a design again but much less complicated than a few weeks ago. They wait until she begins the design and tells me it's $5 a nail. I asked why didn't you say tell me that when I first request designs and how did it increase $1 per nail from a few weeks ago. She tells me it depends on the design. BULLSHIT!! Then proceeds to get smart instead of listening to my valid complaint and says do you want it or not? When she finishes, I request a matte top coat instead of gloss and she says additional $5. I have neverrr paid additional for a damn top coat at any nail salon or this one. It is extremely unprofessional to quote random prices and not provide price lists to your customers. I was so pissed I didn't let her finish. I have matte top coat and a UV light at home so I finished myself. This was not a $5 a nail design && I did the gold flakes myself!!A You lost a loyal customer over $15. Pathetic!!! read more
