Will never go back to this facility. Food was served ice cold, the menu items selected for a meal were not delivered, the television did not work, and the rug smelled like urine. I give credit to the Nurses and Nurse Assts. They were very understanding and helpful. Only one bad apple Nurse Asst was very disrespectful when I asked for assistance and sarcastically stated "I'm busy right now". This was once a fantastic facility as I had a friend who stayed there. My sister in law was at Total Rehab in Moorestown for over a month. She was in an accident and the Rehab department did a great job and now she can walk! Thank you Panna and your entire staff for helping her! I was really impressed how the nurses and aides are attentive to the needs of the residents and truly care for their wellbeing. My father in law was sent here a two years ago and it was the most horrific expetience. I do not understand how the state has not shut this place down. They were not ensuring my father in law ate. He was not even given ensures as al alternative if he dudnt eat his food. The had his medications wrong. My father in law pulled out his catheter and was sent to the hospital where my hydband met him. My father in law was then taken back to power back three hours latet and placed back in a room with splattered blood all over his sheets and rug. He was also soiled. I encountered this after visiting him after work. Had I not arrivef and confronted the front desk staff he most likely would have temained the way I found him. I requested early discharge with home services instead. DO NOT SEND your loved ones to this place! If you want them to live!!!! read more

If sending a family member there, be very aware of the care being given. If outside visits are necessary, make sure your family member is actually taken. My mom there for four months, still couldn't get out of bed well when we took her out. Do your research and go somewhere else. read more

Pros: pretty building, private rooms, PT/OT staff is decent Cons: meds are always late, bad nursing staff, incompetent, lazy, and totally apathetic nurses, Staffing is rude, empty promises are consistently made, director of nursing sucks, the only way to get anything is to keep calling the desk and asking them to send an aide or nurse and if they are on break, you'll wait forever. If you care about your love one, don't send them here. They only care about your money. They will even try to discourage you from sending your love one out to the hospital bc they know you'll nvr come back! This facility was recommended to me by my Orthopedist's social worker following my recent hip replacement surgery. I am writing this review having just arrived home following my 2 week stay. I signed out Against Medical Advice (AMA) after catching medication errors on at least 2 occasions from 2 different nurses, receiving indifferent and sometimes downright hostile care from nurses and aides and feeling that I was better off finishing the recuperation process at home. After reading these reviews, I feel that this is probably the norm for this facility. I had never required staying in a rehab facility following surgery but I am a physician and have required multiple medical and surgical procedures requiring hospital stays so I feel that I have some perspective to render an opinion. First, the good. As most have noted, the facility is relatively new, clean and impressive. They have a first-floor bistro/restaurant for those who are able to eat their meals outside their rooms. The common spaces on all floors are comfortable and look like a resort with fireplaces. There is even a movie theater! Also, the physical therapy staff were incredibly helpful. They helped me gain my strength back following surgery and taught me exercises and techniques which will assist me in my recovery long-term. They were friendly, caring and professional and were the reason that I improved so much. My main issue with PT wasn't the staff, but that there was very little continuity with seeing the same therapist on a regular basis. I often found that each new therapist had some different ideas as to what I would be doing each session and I'm wondering if I would have progressed quicker had I had a dedicated therapist. I'd like to thank Megan, Wendy, Priti, Roxanne and Colleen. As far as the floorstaff, I'd also like to praise Nurse Winnie and Gina and Aides Monica, Abby, Chris and Ashley. They don't get paid enough to help me on and off the bedpan and keep me clean. It's a fairly humbling experience when you can't care for yourself, but they helped me get through the tough early days of my recovery. So it wasn't a totally negative experience, however there were enough really bad things that color my negative experience this place. I'll start with the medical documentation that the nurses and doctors are required to complete, but apparently is woefully inadequate, if completed at all. This ranged from serious to irritating. On the less serious note, i had at least 4 nurses ask me about my wound in the final week that I was at the facility. On my return from the surgeon 1 week ago, my sutures were removed and there was no longer a wound issue. I let the first nurse examine the wound to determine that indeed there was no longer a wound issue. In every hospital or medical facility I've ever worked in, there would be a note documenting the evaluation. I can only surmise that none was done in this instance, or perhaps no one reads the notes as I had at least 3 more nurses come in to look at my wound. My wife was in the room the last time and she commented on this to the nurse as well. A little more concerning, I was unable to obtain over-the-counter medication for my diarrhea one day. I asked the nurse to check to see if I had a standing order and if not to request some from the doctor. While certainly not life threatening, it was extra discomfort that I wished to avoid. I asked the nurse the next day and was told that nothing was ordered. Fortunately, a family member went across the street to the drug store and picked me up a bottle of Imodium, which helped. More disconcerting, even the medical providers (doctors and nurse practitioners and Physician Assistants don't seem to communicate well with each other. During the occasional rounding by a provider (not every day) I happened to question one provider about a blood test and the corresponding medication the test was reviewing. I was told that blood test results frequently took one week to be reviewed and that the lab system was a problem. When I asked one provider to look up the values, I didn't get an answer. The Nurse Practitioner (Helen) got me answers on the following day and spent time trying to help me, which I appreciated. The other provider didn't have the time of day for me. Worse still was the medication errors which I caught- 2 distinct episodes by 2 different nurses for the same medication. I'm harping on this because I am a kidney transplant recipient that has been instructed to always take my anti-rejection medications at the appropriate times and at the appropriate dose. On both occasions, I only received half my dose of the necessary medication. Since I was being given different-appearing medications by Powerback (the same medicines but different in shape or color) and at different times of the day than I take them, I mostly trusted that I was being given the correct medications. Very serious errors. Would not recommend. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Please do not let your loved one go here. My mom was the victim of elder abuse at this location. They do not monitor patients, do not give proper doses of meds, or correct meds at all. They do not change dressings or clothes, or bathe their patients. My mom was left in her own waste for two days. Rehab? Seriously, they dropped some bands on her bed and walked away. She came out weaker than when she went in. My Mother in law went to powerback for rehab due to multiple reasons. When we first went in they were nice to us initially. The nurse practitioner had the personality of a wet mop and acted like Momma was an inconvenience to her which didn't help the situation. When I had said "we are worried about her going into afib" her day/night nurse looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about. That made me very uneasy especially since I know what afib is and I'm not in the medical field at all! I will say when it came to issues of any kind they were quick to react, but I'm not sure they knew what to do in an emergency situation. Also, when we called at night to check up on her they seemed like it was too much work to answer a few questions. Doesn't really make a family member feel the best about the care there. We will fast forward to 2 days later Momma had to be rushed to the ER. (Won't go into specifics). Going back and forth between there and work etc it took a bit to pick up her belongings and our assumption was we weren't sure if she would be going back there or not anyway. I went about 5 days later and the receptionist was horrid. She was rude..just downright nasty and only cared about her conversation on her cell instead of really helping me. I asked if I could go up to get her things and come to find out they had already removed her stuff from the room. Not only that they just threw...THREW her belongings in a BOX and put in it the closet. She had a bag that we brought everything in. A nice big bag that everything would have fit in and that was stuffed in there too! I took everything out right there in the middle of the lobby to make sure it was all there. I had no other choice because the lady that they have to make sure you sign off wouldn't leave me alone. She wanted me to sign off before I even checked her belongings! The attitude of some of their workers is just horrendous and what's even worse is they didn't even care about the outcome with Momma. They just wanted to make sure they got their money! It's appalling and a shame. She was kind to all of them and they couldn't even have the decency to pack her stuff since it was so important to "resell" her room. My father spent a 12 days at Powerback on the third floor. Positives: the building and more importantly the room was superior to previous rehabs we have been at. The shower is large and easy to use.The staff was kind, courteous, and helpful. My father is a pretty easy customers. He does not ring for assistance for anything even when he should. The staff caught on to this and would check up on him without being invasive. He received PT, ST,OT 6 days a week. The sessions were about a half hour but were through. All meal could be eaten at the room or the restaurant downstairs. Each day had a movie and some small group activity like cards or bingo. Snack in the case down the hall is nice. Negatives: Wake up and meals for 3rd floor are ridiculously early like 5:00am breakfast and 4:30 dinner. We are not morning people and meals could get cold before he gets was ready to eat. Often the snack case was nearly empty or had only two options. The pool is tiny and I don't think they really use it. The pocket door to the bathroom goes so far into the wall it is difficult to get closed once fully open. And an important tip is check your bill at the end of your stay before you make any payments. They said it was a computer glitch but they tried to charge us for a month of television rather than a few days. read more

As I saw several other people post, I wish I could rate this place lower than 1 star, and I wish I would have read the reviews before letting my grandmother go to this horrid place. She was discharged from the hospital and arrived on a Friday evening. She was supposed to be assessed as soon as possible and start rehab. She sat there ALL WEEKEND waiting for therapy. She said her assessment involved being asked random questions like what kind of music she liked. On Monday morning, she finally started receiving some therapy - as in, 1 of the 2 she was supposed to receive (the other apparently watched her use the commode and called that therapy (?!)). I tried to get her transferred to another facility, and she was "overqualified and in too good shape" to be transferred, so we asked for a discharge. The following morning, when she was supposed to get therapy, they put her back in her room and said that because she was getting discharged the following day (which no one had informed us of), she wasn't getting therapy THAT DAY. I immediately got on the phone and said I wanted her out that day. Thankfully, her social worker Rebecca was very nice and helpful and did what she could to help us. Other issues include the staff responsiveness and food. She would ask or page for assistance and wait forever for someone to answer. Then they'd say they'd be right back and never come back. She actually had a male attendant come in, look at her, turn off her call light, and walk out without asking her what she needed or helping her. They definitely need more staff, because the staff were always rushing in and out, and she was afraid to ask for what she needed. With regards to the food, my grandmother is vegetarian, yet they couldn't figure out how to give her edible food. She has always eaten healthily, yet they'd send her fried food, fruit in heavy syrup, stuff that was cold or barely edible. Heck, the first full day she was there, they didn't give her an edible dinner, so I had to drop everything, and bring her a hot dinner (as well as some food to keep in her room). When she was finally able to be discharged, they gave me a time to pick her up, then started trying to shoo her out before that time. And to top matters off, in less than 48 hours after being home, my grandfather had to call 911 and have her taken to the hospital because she had covid and couldn't breathe!! My grandmother has largely been isolated for the last. And the hospital she was taken to knew of this place and said they get a lot of readmissions from there. When the local hospital knows of a place, you know there's a problem. I will be talking to more people to let them know how horrible that place is and how much needs to be revamped, but if I can save even one person from sending their loved one there, I will sleep better at night. And heaven help the person who gets put in there without family to advocate for them... read more

I was impressed and very grateful for the excellent care the nurses and rehab staff gave my 74 year old mom after a very rough hernia surgery. She came in after being rushed back to the hospital for complications and her surgeon recommended rehab as a good in-between place before she was ready to go home again. It was the first time any of us could rest at night, knowing she was in good and caring hands. They let my dad sleep there with her every night and made the bed for him. They kept track of her pills, made sure her drains were taken care of, gave her encouragement and friendship. Power Back is new and very pretty. It feels clean and has a relaxed, country club vibe. This was the absolutely worse experience EVER! Gina Haws, the lead social worker, is a poor excuse for a social worker and a manager. She gave us wrong information, didn't return ANY phone calls, mixed up discharge times and dates, and was extraordinarily rude. The nurses were wonderful but with an individual like Ms. Haws at the helm, service suffers greatly. DO NOT send your loved ones here EVER! The trauma my mother experienced was inexcusable. Powerback Moorestown wrongly admitted my husband under a former patient's name, birthdate and social security number. INEPT/FRAUD! It was their computer error and they admitted it when we discovered the error on day 3, and were assured it was corrected. Well, it wasn't. 3 months later as we continue to receive bills some partially paid by the other man's Medicare insurance; but all with the wrong name and under our address- we now have proof that bills went to Medicare under the wrong man's insurance. Powerback gave the wrong patient insurance info to other Drs., and now say they billed Medicare correctly for their bill and its not their problem about all the other Drs. Also a HIPA violation, as we got the other man's DOB and social number. We have spoken with the business administrator & billing several and keep getting assurances they have corrected. Now however, they are saying there is not a problem. Otherwise, about the 2 1/2 weeks; PT was fine- but they write a chart schedule in patient's room and then did not adhere to it a single time, staff was nice, business office incompetent. Nurses seemed overworked and understaffed, especially on weekends. Rooms was not that clean. The social worker was awful, even staff shook their heads over her uselessness. She did nothing, failing to put any plans in effect as discussed and agreed. Just before release she crammed in a quick visit, which was probably required prior to release. Food service in room was beyond inedible, and pretty bad in the Bistro too; (good weight loss camp). My father and 2 friends were here a few years ago and food was good then. I chose the place for proximity to my home, but I would NOT recommend it. My elderly friend fell unattended 2 years ago and cut her skull to the bone. If a patient is frail, or can't advocate for themselves AVOID this facility. And realize even the basics of ID and HIPA info are at risk! read more

There care was fine for out short stay but the problem was some personal items that went to the facility are now missing. I contacted the facility and no one knows or cares that some personal items are missing for a non-moving, non-verbal patient. I wrote an email and will wait to see if anyone from the facility contacts me or finds the missing items. I will amend this review if someone contacts me but I am very angry that anything went missing. The cost of the items doesn't concern me-that they are missing does! read more

I have never felt passionate enough about a business to write a review, however, I feel compelled to warn others about what they can expect if they are unfortunate enough to find themselves at Powerback. - ZERO communication! - (Between staff and with the patient.) - UNCARING aides. (Push the call button...no one will come!) - Unsanitary room. (Bed tray was dirty upon arrival, bathroom and in-room soap dispensers had no soap in them upon arrival and were still empty after 6 days.) - Our loved one was not showered or shaved during the 6 days there. - The food is AWFUL!! - Our loved one showed no progress in 6 days. - I have seen numerous rehabs over the years with several family members, none have been as uncaring as this. (When I told them I wanted to move my relative to another local facility, no one even asked what the problem was or how they could help. They did however, drag their feet in getting the patient's information to the new facility so that they could bill for another day of no care.) Many people say this place is beautiful on the outside. In the six days my loved one was there, I came to realize even the supposedly beautiful finishes are just cheap laminate. Hopefully state officials will look into this scam of a rehab. This facility looks nice, and it's great that they have single rooms. Their PT team seems decent, although skill levels and attitudes vary. Other that that, I have nothing nice to say. They are not staffed to handle medical issues promptly, and tried to discharge due to lack of progress in therapy that was due to medical problems. It takes days and days to get a doctor's attention, and they're slow to deliver prescriptions to the facility. They also didn't return phone calls to a supervisor to discuss a medical issue. Also, my teenager hated visiting because of the smell. If you're young and have a straightforward PT need, maybe this place is OK. Maybe. Otherwise, if you're older and/or have medical issues that need attention, I would not recommend this facility at all. read more

Very disappointed with this place!! My grandmother broke her neck the C1 and C2 and was sent to powerback after leaving cooper hospital with a neck brace and powerback removed the brace to clean under her skin and when they put it back on it slipped down and they refused to fix it and said it was ok even though it wasn't keeping her neck straight at all and she could barely breath due to the brace riding up over her mouth and nose! We requested multiple times to have them fix it and they actually had a meeting with us and all the powerback specialist and they said they saw no issue with the way it was and to stop bothering them about it. So I had to reach out to another place to come to the rehab and fix it and they were shocked on how bad it was sitting on her and said that caused more damage then helping her! The only good thing about this place is there therapist are very good. Please do you research before sending a loved one here!! Giving 1 star because I can't give none. My mother was recently sent to this facility to recover from surgery. The experience was horrendous! The first couple days the nurses refused to help her shower despite it being in the contract of expectations. My mother suffered from extreme nausea which she continuously suffered from during her 3 week stay here. She was unable to eat any solid food and the one thing I was able to get her to eat was broth from the local Wegmans. We bought extra but Powerback refused to heat it up for her so she basically was living on what I brought Fresh and ginger ale when they had some. The food they served was inedible. Pretty hard to make mashed potatoes terrible but they managed. For the 3 weeks she was there she was ordered onto a IV drip for dehydration and low potassium. The first time they couldn't find a vein and just gave up and she had to wait a day for an outside person to insert a tube in her arm. No urgency no care if she was eating. Since she was so weak she had her staples removed by the nurse at this facility. They left 2 in because the nurse didn't think they were ready to come out and wanted to check with a doctor. No doctor came to look and some one was supposed to check them daily. No one looked at them for 3 days until my mother brought them up in conversation. At this point I wanted to talk to someone in charge and we had two people come in and vented our frustration. Both confirmed that the staples shouldn't still be there but neither knew she still had them. After three weeks of this type of terrible treatment they ran some blood tests (thank god they did) and it was discovered that her electrolights were basically diminished and they had to rush her back to the hospital. All I can say is getting out of Powerback probably saved her life. She's now coming home. If you have a choice, choose some place else. This facility might look nice and new but for all it's fanciness it lacks fundamental care and nutrition. read more

Beautiful facility. PT/OT services are very basic. Nursing and aide staff is horrible with the exception of one nurse named Al that was assigned. He was attentive and kind. The nursing staff was always in a rush, took his blood sugar while he ate logged it as a fasting blood sugar. When I questioned why she would take it over his food his food as that's unsanitary and why during his meal as it wouldn't be accurate she rudely snarled that she doesn't have time to test before each patient eats. The staff scheduled a meeting and notified me he'd have 7-9 day stay after so I could prepare for his discharge. 2 days later I got a call at the end of the business day and week he'll be discharged Monday morning. I asked why and the social worker Michelle could not answer and explained that she doesnt know why social workers are in charge of the discharge procedure as they have no answers for the family and cant assist. I requested for the Director of Nursing to call me to explain the sudden change and wasn't called. I called back I was told by another "supervisor" with a nonchalant attitude named, Terry Anne that she can't answer why he was leaving or if any transportation was put in place for Monday. She would send yet another request for me to be contacted and " hopefully " they get back to me before but he was still being discharged at 11am. When I asked for a supervisor over the entire facility she said she could not tell me a name or number but she could only refer me to the supervisor that would be in on that Monday. It seems as though NO one in this facility is in the same page even with having electronic records. Its disheartening when trusting your loved ones in their care and they don't get the care that they agreed to. read more

My mother-in-law has been at the Power Back facility in Moorestown for several days. She lives in an assisted living facility that is approved by Medicare so clearly she will have access to care when she gets home. She is begging to leave and many family members have spoken to PB staff to request her discharge. Maybe I should say we have attempted to speak to PB staff since the social worker won't return calls. She hates the food, has had very poor care from staff members and has no reason to remain at PB but PB is dragging their feet on her discharge. I can only conclude that Medicare dollars carry far more weight at PB than the needs of patients. read more

My Mother was transferred to Powerback after a hip operation. I spoke with her on Friday evening and she told me about the transfer. I was in Louisiana and received a call telling me my Mother was non-responsive after a routine treatment and that she was being rushed to the hospital. That was almost 2 years ago. It took me quite a while to bring myself to call to find out exactly what had happened to my Mom. I called and left a few messages with no return call. I then called the Director, Sabrina who told me she would check into it and call me back, again no call. I called once again today, for the Director to have the Director of Nursing call me. She continued to tell me that she was not employed at Powerback at that time. The dates were incorrect in the chart of when my Mom was admitted and when she left via ambulance. Holly continued to tell me that she was not working there at the time. If she said that one more time, I think I would have blown my top! No one EVER called me after this incident to offer condolences or explain what might have happened. It was like "oh well, at least we have another bed available!" Losing a loved one so unexpectedly is bad enough, but the lack of compassion here at Powerback really SUCKS! I hope no one has to experience what I had to go through even now... read more

After reading these one star reviews I didn't think my dad would make it out alive! I was anxiety ridden like crazy. He was on the third floor and his care was nothing short of amazing...his nurse Winnie and his Aide Logan were so attentive and caring. Constantly checking on him, caring for him, helping him in all ways. He had back surgery..couldn't walk so they literally did everything for him. The staff in general was incredible..of course there is always that one weekend nurse that barely acknowledged him..other than her..I highly recommend the third floor! PT was great..my dad progressed fast and now discharged walking! Food..well, your not there for the food! ..but as my dad said after he lowered his expectations it was much better!! I would not recommend this place to anyone. Some of the staff is rude and discourteous. Some that are good are overworked. Most of the time they are understaffed. The doctor comes once every two weeks and only when patient needs more attention. A beautiful place: nicely designed, promoted as an upscale hotel where skilled and caring professionals work ceaselessly to return residents to more complete function. Balconies, fireplaces, and a "bistro" dining facility add to the sales pitch. The government (Medicare) rates this place as 5 for 5. After having a family member subjected to a four-week stay here, it's become painfully obvious that any federal inspections, if they occurred at all, never included current or former clients of the place. If you're not in for the long-haul here, I'll cut to the chase: we would never, ever consider sending a friend or loved one here under any circumstances, for any length of time, again. The "three pillars" of care here, which include physical/occupational therapy, skilled nursing, and dietary are, at best, sub-standard. At worst, they are life-threatening. The bottom line for this place is, in fact the bottom line: cost. As a large for-profit corporation, Genesis Healthcare, is concerned only with profit. All the beauty here is superficial. At the time of admittance, there were no real Yelp! reviews. I should have listened to the Google reviews, which foretold and now echo the current crop of Yelp reviews detailing the shoddy "care" shoveled here. Yes, there were caring nurse's aides, nurses, OTs and PTs. Many were patient, knowledgable, and took time to educate and inform. This level of performance was, as shown below, the exception. Here's a sampling of the usual "care" dispensed here: Elderly patients allowed (or in cases of non-ambulatory clients)--forced to urinate or soil themselves while waiting for nursing care that never arrives. Call buttons ignored, staff too lazy or evil to assist patients to bathroom facilities. Numerous occasions where patient was told, "Just do it in bed...you have a diaper on". One night saw nine (count 'em--NINE) call lights on one hallway, with no one at nurse's station. Nursing supervisor was found, staring at a computer in her office, and took her nearly 15 minutes to locate her staff. "This should not happen" was her excuse. No kidding. Patient's individual dietary needs ignored completely. Those with allergies, religious requirements, or with requirement for diabetic or renal (kidney/high blood pressure) dietary restrictions are forced to eat the garbage that comes out of the kitchen with a "one size fits all" mentality. Devoid of anything fresh or appetizing, the food here will add to one's existing medical complications, or at the very least, delay their exit from this culinary torture chamber. Met with dietician, painstakingly planned and modified each meal for the upcoming 7-day cycle after problems were noted from the first day. Result: plan was not followed in the least; all records of plan vanished, and no one in the department was willing or able to correct the daily screw-ups. The only solution: daily supplemental meals had to be delivered that included the missing fresh vegetables, quality proteins, and complex carbs needed in a well-planned diet. Elderly patient who could walk (albeit not steadily) on his own relegated to a walker after two sessions with a PT who determined, "he's just not getting the cane thing." Sorry; as a therapist, your ONLY job is to improve function. If you can't teach, you are not a real PT. Place advertises "aggressive" PT. As demonstrated here, this only qualifies as "passive plus". As for OT, after 4 weeks of 6x-week "therapy", man was still not proficient at getting dressed, turning doorknobs, etc. after speaking with head of OT, who pulled records, "No, that was not addressed yet. They have been working with kitchen skills. Would you like us to work on dressing and entry-exit skills?" PT and OT were sometimes scheduled at the same time, and was told whichever was not given could not be reschedules. This equals another day lost. Also, found that the place will not issue a treatment plan. This meant there could be no follow-up even for simple tasks and exercise in the 23 hours of downtime between therapy sessions. Patient was only given oral updates. As most would surmise, delivering complex oral instructions and reports to an 80 year-old yields variable, and quite often useless results. This is the policy of the place: no written reports available. What are they protecting? Who are they really helping? We went up the chain of command, from charge nurses to supervisors, from therapeutic coordinators to directors of clinical care and site directors. All listened, nodded, then recited the now familiar administrator mantra of the place, "We have addressed your concerns." Meaning, "Thanks for sharing. Now, please go away." The problem, in the above situations, rests with poor or non-existent supervision, inadequate training, or neglect. For what-or-whichever reasons for the above reports, coupled with the lip-service response of the administrators on site, this place doesn't even rate one star. read more

The social service staff and aides were awesome! They were so helpful and attentive. Guest services personnel were like members of our family. We would recommend this facility to everyone. It was a pleasure to be here during my steps to recuperate. I honestly have no idea how the person before me could possibly give this place 5 stars. After the experience here, I honestly thought my family was on some hidden-camera reality show. I couldn't believe a place like this actually exists. Disclaimer: My elderly loved one is a VERY laid back, easy to get along with woman. She is so sweet to everyone, so keep that in mind as you read this review. Don't be fooled by the fancy atmosphere. If you love whomever it is you're sending here, then run. Run far away. There's absolutely no communication in this facility. Most of the the nurses/aides are completely clueless -- they don't even know who saw the patients today or what their diet is supposed to be. My loved one doesn't get fed unless we ask. One time they tried giving her beef stew and she clearly can't eat solids. We have to call every single day to make sure she's fed. Now we bring our own food to her because we can't trust they feed her correctly, or even at all. Waste of money. Basically 75% of the time no one comes when the buzzer is rung. My loved one has to call one of us at home from her room and then we have to call the nurse to tell them she is in pain. And if I'm there, I repeatedly have to go to the desk to tell them to come in just once. Some of the nurses get extremely annoyed, often giving attitude to us, when we tell them their presence is needed because it's been about an hour since the buzzer rang. Sometimes they will even turn off the buzzer and ignore it. One time after the buzzer rang, a nurse came in and told my loved one that she has other patients to deal with, then turned her lights off. She is not even getting her medicine as the doctor directed. Every nurse has a different idea of what she needs to take. And some don't even know she takes medicine. We have told them time and time again and no one can get it right and this issue just never gets resolved, as well as the other issues. They don't care about anyone here and they're very unprofessional. They barely change her after she has soiled herself and in result she got a UTI on top of everything else!!!! It's maddening. They also aren't brushing her teeth every day. We were told by the doctor that she could get pneumonia if this continues, so now we have no choice but to bring a toothbrush every day and brush her teeth ourselves. The physical therapist has a small window to work and spent the first part of the session reading up on notes. Wouldn't it have been smarter to be prepared and read the notes BEFORE the session, instead of wasting time? On a separate note, the speech therapist asked my loved one the "status" of her granddaughter who had visited earlier in the day because he was interested in dating her. WHAT????? The ONLY reason we don't change rehabs is because my loved one is elderly and we don't want to stress her out. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. I've never in my life dealt with such moronic people. This place isn't cheap and the unprofessional staff is completely unacceptable. These are people's lives!!! Never again! Looks beautiful but that's all I can say about it. Terrible communication and the nurses are just rude! Pam the social worker is horrible knows nothing does nothing. The admin/nurse Rose is terrible. No communication at all. Can't say that enough. The front desk doesn't even know who's there and who's not. Please don't take your family members here. If you have to choose a place that's further away go there because it will definitely be the better choice. I really wish I could give a zero. read more

The food is soooo bad& the kitchen help does not know how to cook. Good always cold brought to room. For elderly the care is bad. They are short staffed all the time! Nurses are nice and The Aides. But overworked. Aides to patients is lousy! My elderly mom ended up with UTI. And took them forever to test. For it. The facilities look great but don't be fooled. Not for elderly who have no one to be there for them. Would recommend to hire a private Aide for your loved one. Food is soooooo bad!!!!!! read more

Stay away at all costs. My mother was a patient there for two weeks and at admission we were pleasantly surprised with the beautiful surroundings. By day 4 or 5 her health started to deteriorate. As a nurse I was able to recognize the signs of her heart failure. Every person I spoke with regarding help for my mom did close to nothing. Every question was answered with the same response of "I don't know". As some else posted this facility is nothing more than lipstick on a pig. I can't say one good thing and hope that no one has the horrible experience my mother endured. read more
