I own a 16' C7 Z06. I starting hearing a whining/metallic slipping sound when shifting from N into 1st. After some research, I discovered that my pilot bearing likely needed to be replaced. The pilot bearing isn't all that expensive but the work to access it requires removal of the entire underbody, rear suspension, and transmission. Needless to say, this work is very costly and if not done right, can cause major issues down the road. After doing some research, calling the stealership for a quote, and reading reviews on CorvetteForum, I finally gave Edwin a call. From the onset, he was super honest, straightforward, and really helpful in diagnosing the appropriate solution. I dropped my car off on a Thursday morning and he mentioned it would be ready on Sunday morning. On Friday night, Edwin shot me a text and let me know my car was ready to go. Edwin sent me pics of the repair along the way and when I picked up my car, the issue was completely gone. Everything was put back together with zero issues. Edwin is super meticulous, clean (the shop is spotless), honest, and detail oriented. His pricing was very fair and he's one of those guys that under-promises and over-delivers. I won't be taking my car to anyone but Edwin. If you're as particular as I am, I can assure you, you won't find a better Vette mechanic. The drive out to Lancaster was well worth the extra time. Thanks guys!

I had a very good experience using Inspectiver. I booked an inspectiver pre-purchase inspection…read morebecause i was in need to buy a car as soon as possible. After i booked online, the inspector, Dabo contacted me right away to confirm the details, and he arrived at the dealership on time. Even though the vehicle wasn't there (in a warehouse), he waited for them to bring the vehicle to the dealership. Dabo inspected the vehicle thoroughly, and told me of all the various issues he found on the vehicle, and i'm really glad i did not buy it cause it would have been a headache and cost thousands of dollars to repair all the issues the dealership was hiding on the vehicle. I was satisfied with the report (along with pictures) that were provided promptly after the inspection was completed. Because i did not buy the vehicle, i wanted to have another inspection on another vehicle that very same day, and i'm very glad Dabo was able to accomodate my request. Dabo again inspected the vehicle, told me about the issues on the vehicle, and again he saved me a headache because i was able to make a deal with the dealership to fix those issues that he found on the vehicle before i purchased it. He also provided the inspection report promptly. All in all, my experience with inspectiver was very positive. Dabo was very friendly, professional, and his experience in talking about issues that he found on the vehicle was very helpful for my purchasing decisions. In addition, I feel like the price inspectiver charges for doing a pre-purchase inspection is quite reasonable. If i had to buy another vehicle, i would use inspectiver again.

I called Inspectiver directly for clarification on their summary and recommendation. The rep on I spoke with was incredibly helpful and reinforced the inspector's recommendations on how to proceed. Having a trusted service to inspect a used car before you make a purchase is crucial. I highly recommend Inspectiver to do the job!

The first automotive shop told me I needed new struts at $1200. My son took his car to the Car Doctors two months prior and liked the service, not to mention the two fresh carnations that they give you as a thank you for your business. So I took my car to TCD and Doug listened carefully to my issue and to how I explained the noise that my car was making. They took my car for a drive twice and could hear the noise I described. But when they put my car up on the lift, they couldn't hear or find the problem. But after process of elimination and keeping my car overnight to order the part, it was discovered that the problem was the axle. The next afternoon, I got a phone call that my car was ready and that the noise was gone and the problem was solved. Sure, we don't like leaving our car overnight but if they find the problem, it's 100% worth the inconvenience. Besides, Sue will shuttle you to and from your home while your car is being worked on. I also received two fresh carnations and drove away with amazing relief and a smile on my face. PLEASE TAKE YOUR VEHICLES FOR REPAIR TO "THE CAR DOCTORS"! You'll never go anywhere else again!!!

I've been meaning to leave this review for a while now…read more My husband and I were preparing for a road trip to the LA area and decided to stop by Tom's for a brake quote before heading out. We had budgeted around $200 for the job and figured we were being responsible by getting things checked first. After waiting nearly an hour and 45 minutes, we were told not only did the brakes supposedly need to be replaced, but the rotors also needed replacing. Total quote? Over $400. Obviously, we didn't have that kind of money at the time, so we left stressed out, thinking we'd just have to take the trip and pray the car made it safely. While in LA, we happened to run into a friend who's a mechanic. We told him what Tom's had quoted us, and he kindly offered to take a look if we bought the parts. So we did. He lifted the car, inspected everything, and immediately told us the brakes were still about 90% good and the rotors were perfectly fine. They only needed cleaning. So now I'm left asking: how does a shop go from "everything urgently needs replacing" to "there's barely anything wrong" ? That's not a small difference. That's an extreme opposite diagnosis. At best, it was gross incompetence. At worst, it feels intentionally dishonest. Either way, it completely destroyed my trust in this place.
