Due to Covid-19 Binmer Engineering was closed, so I brought my vehicle to a "foreign auto shop" and was not pleased with the mechanic description of the quote. I'm glad I waited for B.E to reopen! They looked over the car, from top to bottom and came up with a much different diagnosis. He is very knowledgeable on all things BMW, took the time to explain to me what was going on and what is important for these cars. I was disappointed that instead of getting good service I was about to be ripped off I took my BMW to have an oil change at a different location and then a check engine light came up along with drivetrain malfunction and instead of performing an inspection they straight went with the codes that were on the scanner and claim that the fix would be 3500 some if not more when I took it to another place they found the cause to be a broken oil filter cap and missing the part that should be in the oil filter just because we are women trying to get our cars fixed doesn't mean we should be getting ripped off. read more

First, let me preface by saying I did not receive service. I arrived at the facility to get an estimate for a broken side mirror. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and then the gentleman behind the counter took a phone call and left me sitting in the lobby for 10 minutes while he helped another customer. I appreciate customer service, but I was there first, and felt that he could have taken a number and given a call back. At the conclusions of his phone call the gentleman walked outside to examine my problem. He immediately said that the housing on my passenger side rear view mirror have been broken and need to get replaced, but was not able to do so because it was an original BMW part, and he could not acquire it. Overhearing his telephone conversation with the estimate a few minutes prior, I recalled him saying he only used OEM parts. I was confused. When I question him why he would have trouble getting a OEM part when he only uses OEM parts he accused me of being rude, wish me a nice day and retreated back into his building. I said to him, "I'm not being rude but can you please explain to me why you can't get factory parts?" He refused to answer me, and opted to retreat and hide in his office. Honestly, I should have known that this business was suspect when I pulled up to the facility and saw that he still had a sign on the glass requiring his customers to put on a mask before entering the building. In all honesty, he did me a favor. I promptly went over to Vic's bimmer shop on West avenue I in Lancaster. I was greeted properly, offer the beverage, and got my problem promptly diagnosed. Unlike the inept Bimmer engineering, not only could they get OEM parts, they took my car in immediately with promise to have it complete the next day. You don't have to receive bad service to know that a business is not worth supporting. The only positive thing I can say about Bimmer Engineering, is that the gentleman was very friendly to me as he turned around, walked away, and all but locked the door behind him. If you're somebody who gets easily offended, or runs away and hides from the slightest amount of conflict, Bimmer engineering is right up your alley. read more

I thought this was a good honest shop , after taking my car 2 times in less than a month my car was till leaking oil on both times I got charged over $1000 , after that 2nd visit again paid over $1000 for the 2nd time (same issue was not fixed /resolved ) I literally drove car from their shop to my house which leaves a big oil stain on driveway , I get asked to bring it in a 3rd time , now the guy wants of course more money to "try " n fix the problem this guy Dillon is full of shit straight up I thought he was an honest person but the usual just out to get peoples $ , just unbelievable ‍ read more

I had been coming here just for regular maintenance, but I recently damaged parts on the suspension. I came here thinking I would get help at a reasonable price, when in reality I got a quote that was ridiculously high. I was quoted $1500 for parts, and I was able to get OEM parts online for less than $900.(you know wholesale is even cheaper) Then to top it off I got the labor done for less than half of what I was quoted here. Brought my 2010 M3 in for some more maintenance. 10 year old bimmers need preventive measures especially if you don't have records that the work was actually done before you. Needed transmission drain and fill and the price was right so I had Dhillon throw in a rear differential service. Dropped it off over night and got it back the next day. It apparently needed it because my mile per gallon went up and shifting is slightly firmer. Happy With the work done definitely be coming back. read more

My wife had previously published a review on my behalf because I didn't want to be "one of those guys" who leave bad reviews and hurt small business. Although, the chap who runs the 'shop' jumped through hoops with Yelp to get the review removed because it was technically not a first hand account. Well, I'm here now. I am a real BMW enthusiast, and I'm leaving my experience here as a WARNING to all others who truly love their cars. I was out in the Antelope Valley visiting family and utilizing family help in diagnosing a 30FF code (commonly known as a boost leak). I could not figure out the source of the boost leak after various tests. I decided to bring it to this shop and see what they could come up with. So I bring my car in and specifically mention to NOT perform any kind of "fix" to my car without my expressed consent. After the $110 "check and advise" service was completed the owner told me that my thermostat is stuck open and that they replaced a vacuum line. When diagnosing a 30FF vacuum lines are obviously the first thing you check. Mine were FINE. He (the owner) said, "So I'm going to be nice and not charge you for the labor on the vacuum line and just charge you for the hose itself." What? Being nice? I told you not to replace a damn thing. On top of this, he wanted to charge me over $500 dollars to replace he thermostat. I told him that this is a joke. And why wouldn't you recommend replacing the water pump at the same time while you're there anyways? That job is 3 hours - tops. WORST PART: He starts acting like a jerk, tells me to never bring my car to him again (HA) and to piss off. I don't say anything and go to pay when he says, "oh our card machine isn't working right now...even our phones don't work right now." With no cash on me and no way to get to the bank I said I need a ride to the bank, take my car, or whatever...I don't have cash (Total due was only $110). He says "I'm not giving you your keys and THATS YOUR PROBLEM." Are you kidding me? Is this really a business? I sat down and decided to test to see if his phones were really not working. I called his shop and the phone RANG! He is just trying to be the biggest asshole he can at this point. Luckily a family member was close by and gave me some cash. Owner threw my keys on the counter and said "don't come back." Mind you, when this was all happening I hardly said any words. He even tried to provoke me into speaking by saying "Oh you're just gonna stand there silent? Can you understand English?" Actually yes I can; I'm a doctor. This review is to warn all BMW enthusiasts who truly love their cars that the man who owns this business is a child. I would NEVER let a child diagnose my car, drive my car, and definitely not attempt to fix it. Pretending your card machine isn't working? Trying to extort people? Owner is immoral and clearly only in business to rip off people who simply do not know any better. read more

This is the guy to bring your vehicle to. I had another shop work on my car and after over 2k spent to fix my a/c and over a month in rental, it broke again. I have been coming to Bimmer Engineering for about a year now and Dhillon is so helpful and honest. I got tired of the dealership mechanics screwing me and overcharging me and saying stuff like the repairs I needed done weren't covered under warranty and had to fight to get then to repair it for no charge because I had a friend that works at a BMW dealership far away say they were covered so that's how I was able to get them to pay. Since I'm past the warranty I refuse to go back to the dealerships. Looked for a reliable BMW mechanic on Yelp and saw they had great reviews so I came here and am impressed. Very satisfied. This shop does quality work and the owner Dhillon is quite personable. My boyfriend and I have been going here for about 2 years, since moving to the area. We most recently had to come in for a thermostat replacement (estimated at $750) . Dhillon estimated 5 1/2 hours for labor and had us pay in advance because he needed to do errands and didn't want us to have to wait on him. The work only took 2 hours but we were still charged for 5 1/2. At $103.45 an hour, that's a $362 difference for, essentially, nothing. Dhillon acknowledged that it only took two hours but said it was standard to charge factory times. And he would not refund any of the 3 1/2 hours of extra labor. This is the premier automobile (BMW) repair shop in the Antelope Valley and possibly anywhere. A couple years ago I bought a 2004 BMW Z4 and I took it to Bimmer Engineering to fix a couple issues. Dhillon has an excellent shop. Super customer service, great friendly atmosphere and very knowledgeable. This is the second time we have brought our car in for service. Brought the car in this time for some large problems, got diagnosed and straight forward told what was up and what needed to be done. Had taken it to another shop to do some 'emergency' repairs while traveling before taking it here and found that they left some bolts out and left it dirty and messy. These guys not only did an amazing job repairing the car, but cleaned it up and made right what was not finished from the previous job. Their shop is one of the cleanest shops I've seen or been in, that shows me that they take pride in their shop and their work. This is, hands down the BEST place to take your BMW! I'm so glad I had my BMW looked at here. My car hit 100k miles so I thought I better take it in to get maintenance done. Called the BMW dealership, they quoted me an arm & a leg, ridiculous...so I went on yelp & found Bimmer Engineering. Based on the great yelp reviews I went in, I was greeted by Dillion (owner), he was pleasant and knowledgeable. This place is so clean compared to other auto shop, you can see he takes pride in his work. Anyhow he looked over my car, told me basically all I needed for now was to get an oil change (which I knew but put if off because at BMW dealership cost over $200!) I couldn't believe the price he charged to do it. My first thought was when can you do it? He did it right there & then. He also, as a good mechanic should, told me in the near future what I would need done to my car to keep it running well.
