Powers Farm, actually came up and was reasonable for fun fall actvities. The admission price included for $12, for petal bikes, ski ball, hayride, basketball, petal cars , corn maze , pick a pumpkin and they even had a concession stand and Farm store with haunted hay ride. Attended an event at Power's Farm Market called BaaaaFest. As the name implies it did involve sheep along with alpacas. It was mostly an event geared toward children. It included sheep shearing, feeding the animals, wagon rides, a some nice music. We attended mainly to see my niece who was demonstrating how to spin yard from the sheep and alpaca fur. I've been coming to Powers Farm Market as a fall tradition for years. While there are many things I still love about Powers such as the festive decor, donuts, pumpkin selection, and teepees, I find the price increases a bit off putting. I understand they are a business and need to make money, but the hayride prices are just not reasonable for a family of 5. The daytime prices are $10.25 per person which I have no issue with. The night prices are $6 dollars more ($16.25 per person) for a family of 5 this is just not a great value and we will have to rethink coming back next season. read more

This is kind of your typical pumpkin patch. It has a lot of prepicked pumpkins, along with a cool corn husk teepee to walk through, including carved pumpkins. There are also animals you can feed and a little store. We have a family tradition of coming once a year in the fall, but my three year old is ready to go in about half an hour. Took our 11 month here to see some pumpkins and animals. Conveniently located in Pittsford, they have a large shop that sells baked goods, cider and also this large teepee structure which has Halloween decorations and lights inside. Very kid friendly place as you might expect and is almost overcrowded on the weekends (only drawback). But definitely worth checking out since it's so conveniently located and inexpensive outdoor activity with the kiddos. read more

Favorite place during the fall! Their tee pees are a blast. They fill them with carved pumpkins. I went every year when I was a child and look forward to going still as an adult. They have hay rides and a photo area set up. Inside they have jams, cookies, produce, honey etc to purchase. They also have decor and gift items. They also have a good amount of animals to see and feed. Really fun outing with the family or friends. They do some other fun events like the sheep shearing event. That's a blast! And their vegetable plants are great quality. I'm not sure why I have not written a review before as I like most have been here a few times. It seems everyone who lives in that area has got to get that "Fall Photo Op" in front of the that sign Powers puts up with all the pumpkins and such. I believe they also do one for Christmas too. It's not unusual to see wild turkeys walking around, you can go visit with all the animals, see the corn teepees and etc. They have all kinds of locally made food stuffs inside, fruits and vegetables and other stuff. I'll give powers just barely three stars. Stop by this past weekend with my family And was kind of overall disappointed. I've been there before but it was always in the fall when they had all the pumpkins and stuff and was kind of shocked when we pulled in and saw how empty it was. It was about 4:00 when we got there and they'd stop doing the tractor rides which was disappointing. We first went and saw the animals and my daughter loved that. There were two mini horses , a couple goats, a fawn and like 5 or 6 sheep/alpacas. We checked out The plants next and they only had flowers which was kind of disappointing we were hoping to buy some vegetable seedlings as well but notta. Then we had it inside and I was kind of shocked at how empty it was and how expensive a lot of the items inside were. Like $7 for 4 oz of popcorn I think it was? And prices have gone up lately but still. We did buy a few plants as well as a small pie for $7 and a couple of donuts which were pretty disappointing. There was also a selection of cookies with three and a half dollars a piece they did not look enticing enough to buy. Only about half of the inside actually have anything in it at all and it was just kind of a bummer. It is our first time here when I came and visited with my family. We didn't know what to expect but we were very happy. My 1 year old walked around, explored the ground and checked out pumpkins. I love how they have clean water to wash your hands after you feed the animals. They also have clean bathrooms around, the service was superb. They have donuts, pies, apple, ciders and many more! As I look out at the snow falling, I can't help but feel SO sad that I missed my seasonal trip to Powers this year! As a kid, my family and I went every single year. I have super vivid memories of holding my mom's hand going through the "scary" tepee and picking out a smallish pumpkin to go home and carve. We would go inside for hot cocoa and some fresh baked goodies, and a full weekend day would be taken care of. As an adult, I still love going! Petting animal never really gets old and riding the hayride with nieces and nephews is something I look forward to for many years to come. I had a fantastic experience at Power's! As someone who is gluten sensitive, I was craving one of their gluten-free snickerdoodle cookies last Friday night. Unfortunately, there were none on the shelf, so I asked a staff member for help. She was incredibly enthusiastic and personally brought me some before restocking both the gluten-free chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies. Although I didn't catch her name, she had beautiful braids and a warm smile.(If anyone could ident her to give her props)When I asked her about her job, she expressed how much she loved working there and described it as a great environment. I wholeheartedly recommend Power's to anyone in the Fairport area! I continue this tradition with my nephew and niece, they love running around seeing everything! Our family of 3 had so much fun on a gorgeous Saturday here! We went so our 3 year old could pick out a pumpkin (or 4) and see the animals. We all had a blast feeding the animals and waking around. We rode on the "haunted" hayride and our son loved it! I'm so happy we were able to go on a ride and just have a fun normal fall day as a family. Everyone including staff wore masks and I appreciated that before allowing new people on to the hayride that they were sanitizing in between. I went to Powers Farm Market twice this year, once with my dad who's from out of town and once with a friend. I personally would much rather go pumpkin picking at a pumpkin patch, but Powers is convenient when I don't have the time to drive out somewhere further. It wasn't as crowded when I went on a weekday with my friend. It has been packed every time I've been here though. I don't love the pumpkin selection. When I went earlier in the season, I picked up 3 large pumpkins for decoration; I prefer the smaller pumpkins for carving which they didn't have any of. The pumpkins here are also fairly pricey. I would opt to buy pumpkins from the Public Market instead. The hayride was cute and fun. There were a lot of children on the ride who added narrations of their own, and unfortunately spoiled all the surprises. There were many Halloween decorations and animatronics along the ride; It was very decked out and there were a few different sections. My favorite parts were the spiders and the skeleton band. The huge teepees are fun earlier in the Fall season when all the jack-o-lanterns are up. My dad wasn't a big fun of the how cramped and dark it was in there; He kept hitting his head in the doorways. It's fascinating to get inspiration for pumpkin carving. It is however a little bit too crowded for me with people and kids bumping into me constantly. I LOVE the farm animals here. The chickens are adorable and last time I went there was a fluffy white one I fell in love with. The sheep and goats are chubby and adorable; those are some really well fed goats. All the animals were friendly and such a delight to interact with. My favorite thing about Powers Farm is that there are so many great opportunities for a photo shoot. Firstly, there's a photo booth area set up. There's usually been a short line and people have been so gracious about taking group photos for us. I've seen lots of people doing photo shoots at the pumpkin patch and it's a nice spot with rows and rows of pumpkins and the hayride in the background. The animals are sweet and surprisingly easy to take photos with too! It's not a huge area and it's jam packed with a lot to do; It's a lot of fun in a small area. Although I've never had trouble finding parking, the parking situation is tight. I'm not too comfortable with the packed crowds here. It is a quintessential Autumn trip. read more

Growing up in the area, before every Halloween my family would spend an afternoon at Powers Farm Market. I cannot recall anything that gave me as much delight, as a child, from visiting Powers Farm Market. Those of you who grew up going know exactly what I'm talking about. I revisted the market this past weekend, and not much had changed, except everything was a bit smaller (and I am a bit bigger) and a part of me was still hoping for that magical feeling I remember. What you'll find there is lots of pumpkins, a haunted hay-ride, a small zoo with llamas, sheep, and donkeys which you can feed with your hand (for $0.25). There are local foods inside the building, including breads, donuts, cheeses, and apples (among others). I strongly recommend trying the hot apple cider, buy yourself a cup for $1.50 and walk around to explore the grounds. Unfortunately, there is no maize/maze. However, and this is the coolest part, there are a couple of large connected tee-pees built with dried corn stalks. Inside the tee-pees you'll find a large collection of carved pumpkins followed by a black-light "room". People linger, with good reason, in the room with the carved pumpkins. They've "enhanced" the black-light room from years past, but I'm not a fan of the improvements as it is mostly chintzy decorations (it used to be just illuminated by black-light, allowing your/&my imaginations to run free). Maybe this is my adult-cynicism coming through (sorry). Regardless, I love Powers Farm Market. It is by which I compare all others and I cannot wait to re-experience that initial delight through a child's eyes. read more

The memories from Powers at Halloween time are ones that are full of some of the things that can still be found there when the season is in full effect. They sell several locally made products and have fresh cut flowers that I get and take over to the cemetery across the street. They have lots of animals that your children can enjoy feeding as well.
