I bought a 40v cordless snowblower through Amazon. Powersmart claimed it would do alot of things it clearly wouldn't. So I left an honest review on Amazon. One star. Would NOT recommend! I purchased the PowerSmart 21 inch 212cc Single Stage Gas Snow Blower. It arrived over a week late and was missing multiple screws and knobs that are needed to tighten the snow shoot. After piecing it together with my own hardware, I turned it on and used it for less than 5 feet in very light, powdery snow on my driveway. Almost immediately, a plastic piece underneath near the blade broke off, making the machine unusable. I've attempted to contact PowerSmart customer support multiple times over the past 10 days via email and phone, but have received no response from a human, only automated messages. BUYER BEWARE - SCAM I would give it ZERO Stars as this company (PowerSmart and Amerisun Products) do not have any company skill for Customer Service, they do not care about the product they sell, only out for your money. I was given as a gift an Amerisun Model: AV8621S1 Self Propelled 21-in 170cc 3-in-1 lawn mower as I mow my neighbor's yard who is elderly in Nov 2025. I didn't get around to putting it together straight out of the box in Feb, when the weather was warmer. After assembly, I mowed two lengths (approx 15 yards and the self-propelled drive belt broke. This drive belt was installed at the factory, as per the instructions all the customer has to do is assemble the handle, put oil and gas in, and mow grass. E-mailed and called customer service who stated they need a PO#, went back to neighbor, she cannot find it or deleted it on her e-mail as it was a gift and she paid in full, didn't think I would need it - brand new mower. I have been working with Amerisun and they will not honor the warranty unless I provide the PO#, I have the serial #, model number date of purchase and explained the situation about the PO# and they still will not provide a new drive belt under the 2-year warranty which they refuse to honor. For the amount of money spent the products they sell and the reviews I have read, I would not have purchase this product if it was me, but it wasn't my neighbor was just being nice. These products are poorly made and are nothing but a scam. If you wish to speak to a supervisor, they will take your information and say a supervisor will contact you in 72-hrs. The mower worked okay for 4 uses and then the engine blew up - in June. This is September and the company refuses to do anything about the mower. Better Business Bureau has contacted Amerisun/power smart about the defective mower and has not had a response. DO NOT PURCHASE anything from this company. I should have been smarter and looked at the reviews on Better Business Bureau - the company has an "F" rating because they will not settle any product issues and all of their products have issues. I will next complain heavily to the Illinois State Attorney General to shut down the company. Power Smart is a dishonest company - at least for it's affiliates. I joined their program only to find out they have a low 2% commission - not worth promoting so I left it alone. I never received any email or communication. This morning I saw they decided to leave a negative review because they hadn't gotten any sales. What?! They didn't bother communicating at all unlike other companies and like I said, a super low commission isn't enticing. Horrible customer service. I was hit by hurricane Helene. I ordered a generator directly from the manufacturer who had a 3-4 day lead time. Long story short, its 18 days later and I don't have a generator. I even emailed them to let them know I was a hurricane victim in desperate need of a generator. "Stella" who said she would expedite and ship in two day, is a huge liar. After 18 days and 20 emails, they still couldn't deliver. Cancelled the order and they wouldn't refund my money until the shipment had been returned. It made it within 10 miles of my home and sat in a FedEx facility for 6 days. I don't even think their owner is aware of the horrible experiences customers are having. Mower had a catastrophic failure after 5 uses. I tried to submit a warranty claim and a funny thing happened. Before I registered the product I got through to their 800 number pretty quickly. Once I registered (and therefore they had my phone number), they never picked up. I was "the next caller in line" for over two effing hours. The engine was no good. I took it to be repaired and they told me I may as well buy a new one because it was not worth fixing. Electric mower cost me $670 and it is junk. Battery time is 20 - 30 minutes. Rear discharge clogs constantly, even if it didn't, you would have to change the bag every few minutes because it is small. Also, my drive won't quit unless the mower completely shuts down so, constantly starting and stopping the mower. Most of all I can't get anyone from "customer service" to help me. I have called them 5 times on several days and waited over 3.5 hours total. Their customer service representative (Eric with no last name) responds only to emails. In several email communications I asked them (Eric) to call me and he last replied with "due to our short-staffed situation, we are unable to reach out to you at this time". The vendor emailed me a return shipping label and would not answer my question about how long it takes to issue a refund. I have no faith in this vendor located in another state (Illonois) and would be happy to return the equipment to any local branch face-to-face and receive my refund, since they have broken their word so many time. I purchased a Lawnmower 9 months ago through Home Depot. The front end of the machine broke so that both front wheels no longer support the mower. Clearly a design flaw. The product is under a three year warranty according to the documentation.
