I want to support the small businesses in our neighborhood, but ones like Pozzetti Gelato make me wonder at what cost and whether it's worth it. We've been here a number of times over the years, but I got way too much sticker shock from our last visit. We got two kids' scoops (i.e. maybe about half a cup of gelato per scoop), with a cookie in one and sprinkles in the other. This came out to over $19. To be fair, I don't mind paying for bougie, artisanal gelato. However, this was NOT it. It was icy, crunchy and the cookie was just stale. In contrast, I could buy a 48 oz container of Tillamook ice cream from Target for $6, a package of Chips A hoy cookies for $4 and sprinkles for another $4. For approximately $14, I could make 12 cups of ice cream with toppings AND it wouldn't be freezer burned. For almost $10 for one scoop-- I expect a lot better than stale and freezer burned. Excellent locally owned gelato shop. Reminds me of the gelato I've had in Italy. Very authentic and addicting so watch out. Thankfully they also offer no sugar added flavors so I can choose those when I realize I've been coming too often. Many flavors to choose from. You will not be disappointed. Pozzetti is a neighborhood gem. It's locally owned and employees are very nice and give generous portion sizes. They have flavors from strawberry to Twix which is my favorite. You can choose toppings if you want for an extra charge. The store is always clean inside and you don't have to worry about sitting at a table that has not been clean. read more

The young man helping us was very polite & friendly. The gelato was ok at best. They must not sell much because almost every bite was chewy from being old. Almost a taffy texture. I asked for 2 different topping and received about 8 M&M and 1/2 TBSP of chopped nuts. Not sure if I should have mentioned I wanted topping before ordering ~ there was no room for them to stay on the gelato but $2 for that amount of topping is crazy. Disappointed. read more

I will start off my saying the gelato is probably the best I have ever had in Colorado. You can tell they take pride in the product they make, the hazelnut gelato was outstanding and the rocky road was just a bit behind that. Unfortunately, the service is way too slow for us. When we got there 1 couple was finishing up and there was only one couple in front of us, and there were 3 people behind the counter so we figured it would be nice and quick. Almost 15 minute later, we finally got to order because only one person behind the counter takes the orders, prepares the shakes and stuff like that, and serves the gelato. Pozzetti Gelato is of course amazing if you're looking for delicious gelato in a variety of flavors. They haves cones, cups, milkshakes...everything you heart could desire in the sweet treat realm. But did you know Pozzetti has paninis? And I don't mean just hot sandwiches. Pozzetti has what we call sandwiches a plastado, meaning these sandwiches are literally squished between two hot grilling plates so the bread on the outside is crispy and the inside is soft and gooey. And the flavors are remarkable. We ordered the caprese sandwich and the prosciutto sandwich. They were both served with some type of aioli. And we INHALED them. They were phenomenal. I wish I had thought to take a picture, but they just smelled too good to leave sitting there. And the next moment, they were completely gone. Absolutely delicious! All that to say, go to Pozzetti. Support your local businesses. Get some gelato for you and the fam. And while you're at it, pick up some lunch or dinner that is sure to please your taste buds and your tummy. This place used to be fantastic, but now they're price gouging. What used to be a pint, is now a "6 flavor sampler" for double the price. If you want a split pint, expect to not eat your second flavor until you finish the top portion. They still have the same long containers so they could split them side by side, but they will only give you one for double the price as the sampler. The containers are no longer styrofoam, which is great, but they're the same exact size, they just refuse to sell it to you unless you want to pay double or have your two gelato flavors stacked on top of one another other making it impossible to enjoy both flavors like you could previously. The female owner is very nice, but the male is not. I'm confident the woman would have gladly helped me, but the man just argued that they'd never had that type of pint (which is false since I'd been going there for the last year ordering exactly that). read more

Absolutely the best gelato in Denver. They make it right there in front of your eyes, which is not very common. They have my favorite tropical flavors in sherbet style like passion fruit, mango and guava. Their flavors actually taste authentic, not artificial. My favorite, in addition to the tropicals, is the chocolate and the peach yogurt, that actually has a bit of a tartness combined with the sweetnes of the peach. Just yummy! I hate to be negative Nancy, but this place is far from an authentic gelato place. It may look like gelato which is probably why it reminds a lot of people of Italy, but it is far from it. I lived in Italy and I can tell you that it is nothing close to this. It definitely is missing something in the flavor, and it's way too rich to be gelato. The other issue I had was the fact that there was only one authentic gelato flavor. Stracciatella. That's literally it. Everything else is all just Americanized ice cream flavors. I gave it three stars because the people that work there are really nice and it is very clean. I will definitely continue my search and hope to find a better gelato place in Denver. read more

ok so me and my friend wanted to go to this shop to get milkshakes he got one and i got horchata and the milkshake was 10 dollars and was not even close to being filled to the top even with whip cream, and the horchata tasted watered down and was nothing near good. the service was awfully slow and was a 5 minute wait. the shop its self was alright though ill give them that. read more

Small local business with delicious gelato in huge portions. I got the piña colada and pistachio flavors on a small cone, the owner gave so much that I ended up splitting it with my mom. The piña colada flavor was my favorite--fruity, refreshing, and not too sweet. You can sample flavors before buying. The gelato itself has a stretchiness to it, definitely higher quality than most store-bought ice creams.
