I have been going to PR Partners for the past 7 years, if not longer. I was referred by a friend and thought I'd give it a try. So, I made an appointment with Loretta Jameson since she recommended her. Upon entering they gave me a consultation form to fill out. Loretta took 10 minutes to sit down with me, look at my hair, and really discuss what I wanted. I have hair that is VERY THICK, wavy, and long. However, I work in fitness so it has to be able to be put up....Loretta did a great job....She really connects with her clients and cares about them. I always feel so comfortable when I come in...They take your jacket, have magazines, offer drinks, and have some light snacks. I have also received a manicure, multiple waxings, and a facial. I have NEVER been disappointed. The assistants and shampoos have always been top notch. You get a scalp massage during your shampoo! Everyone has different experiences and nobody is perfect, but I am going to defend some of the comments that were made on here: Prices: They are more pricey than your average salon, but you get what you pay for. They are also listed on their website, and if you nicely ask, they will supply you with a paper copy of services, prices, and descriptions. Tips: Tips are all in cash....This is NOT SHADY! Lots of businesses do this. It is expensive to run tips on credit cards or use credit cards period for a business, especially complicated since their salon has many employees...If you go in there for more than one service and tip on credit card...how do they know how much you want to give who?! Stylists: Seeing as how I have gone there for 7 years, I can say they DO have experience! My stylist actually does hair for fashion shows and photo shoots. Yes, there will be new stylists coming in, but that's the nature of life...everyone starts their career somewhere. I had a new stylist do my hair so she could practice and they were very sure to keep an eye on her and check in. Before I found PR at Partners I was never very faithful to one Stylist or Esthetician. I would just go to one place or another a couple of times and hope for the best. This led to a number of bad experience and believe my eyebrows suffered. I started seeing Mindi about three years ago and I was sold. She is incredibly up-to-date on current styles and color methods and I totally trust her recommendations. She is also great about working around a busy schedule. I have referred a number of friends to her and every person has been happy. I started going to Laura in the spa about two years ago and I will not let anyone else shape my brows. They were a disaster before I met her, but she just knows how to give them the perfect shape and I never break out after (I have super sensitive skin)! I also get the dreaded Brazilian and leg wax, although this is never pleasant, Laura is so friendly and good at putting me at ease, I just laugh my way through it (with clenched teeth). I have sent many a first-timer to her and they have all become repeat customers. If you ask anyone that works at PR about their experience you will learn just how dedicated they are. PR holds classes all the time, making sure Stylist are up on the latest techniques and Laura, who heads the spa, has spent years finding the right skin care lines to carry-- they have worked miracles for my skin. I can't speak for all the stylists but mine is Amber Tomer and from the first time I went in there not knowing what to expect ( just knowing I needed a big change with my hair) she worked together with me expertly to figure out what to do, first talking to me for a significant period of time to figure out and then make sure we were both on the same page with what she was going to do. She has a gigantic well of knowledge about her profession but she doesn't foist it on you like some stylists and she tries to help you figure out what will look best given what you've said you want. I have been back many times and I always come out extremely happy- sometimes ecstatic with the results. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it is so pricey. I would go more often if it wasn't. Also, don't miss out on the wash and rinses- in any other place they are just something to get through but here they have chairs that give you a massage the whole time you are getting washed and at the end the washed asks if you would like a rejuvenating or a relaxing massage and gives you a wonderful head massage. A fantastic place to go all around. They also keep up on the latest in styling and are very trendy but not in that snobby way that makes you feel stupid. They go out of their way (and I have seen them do it with special needs people too) to make sure every customer feels cared for and is treated well. read more

I like PR at Partners. Their locations are comfortable, attractive and professional. But I LOVE Audrey at the Manassas location. I have followed her around to all the PR locations for years and now drive a very long way specifically to see her. She is extremely professional and personable and more importantly she knows hair. She is a color MASTER. She is current on trends, styles and hair care but most importantly she takes me into account. My lifestyle, the amount of time I have to invest into doing my hair and what has worked for me in the past. It's to the point I don't have to finish my sentences and she knows exactly what I'm talking about. I receive constant complements and I recommend her to everyone! read more

Vanessa was amazing from start to finish! I went in for a layered haircut and blowout, and she truly nailed exactly what I was hoping for. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted and asked thoughtful questions to make sure we were on the same page. She's incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable throughout the appointment. My layers came out beautifully blended with the perfect amount of movement, and the blowout lasted so well. I left feeling confident and obsessed with my hair. She also gave me great product recommendations and styling tips so I can recreate the look at home, which I really appreciated. This review is solely on the sugaring services provided at this establishment. I have never had a bad experience and I have had sugar wax done by three of the estheticians. Sassy, Anka, and Laura. All of them - GREAT. They were gentle and very professional. As for the sugar waxing itself - BETTER than regular wax. I have very sensitive skin to where regular hot, lava wax would rip my skin off and I would be left with welts, rashes, and sometimes even small bleeding spots. Sugar wax is not hot, its gentle, and much more sanitary. My skin is left softer and no irritation. I couldn't be more happier with the results every time I go (which is not as often since it lasts much longer). read more

Had my first appointment for a haircut today with Heather. I've been trying to grow out my hair for quite some time and always have the problem of hair dressers cutting off way too much when all I want is a trim. Without even expressing this concern to Heather, she reassured me that she wouldn't have to take off too much but would make sure it left healthy hair to continue growing out. Heather talked through all steps with me and left me with a great cut! She even took my lifestyle (mom of a 1 year old) into consideration, leaving me with something that is easy to style, low maintenance, and won't need need constant updates. I only get my hair done at either PR at Partners or Red Door because of the quality of stylists... But I really love Audrey at the Manassas PR. She continues to be a long time favorite for cut and color and overall current/modern style. Last time I visited Audrey, I had a specific idea of how I wanted my hair to look. I wanted several colors of highlights and lowlights and different layers with side swept bangs..... She was totally receptive and she nailed it!! I was still getting compliments on my cut and color several months later! I'll be back soon. Keep up the good work PR! read more

Just went in after probably a year of not doing any maintenance on my hair. I had the best experience. I have never reviewed anything on Yelp and today will be my first time. I had Heather and she was awesome! I went in for a cut and color (balayage) and it was everything and more. For my shampoo, the chairs are massage chairs which are the best. I never wanted to get up from that chair. The result was fantastic and I will def be coming back for my trim and who knows maybe more color. Thanks Heather! read more

If you have curly hair, you must book Jen G! Jen is the BEST. I've been going to her for almost 5 years, and she is the only stylist I've had who truly understands how to cut and manage my crazy curly hair. She also does highlights for me that are incredibly natural, and I often get compliments on them. Besides her styling and coloring skills, Jen is so fun to talk to! She really puts you at ease and makes the time go by quickly. I can't recommend her more highly. The best. read more

The skin care at this salon is excellent. It is expensive but worth it! I recently tried the sugaring method of hair removal in the bikini area. I have always gotten waxed and though this was the same level of discomfort during the actual wax, the redness was gone within a couple of hours, the hair came back much much more slowly and when it came back in, it did not cause ingrown hairs or irritation. Definitely try it if you get waxing. read more

You can tell she really knows what she is talking about, now I am a regular and go to her all the time! She is so kind and fun to be around, while still being super informative of everything she is doing with my hair.
