She did a great job on the consultation and was suggestive but not pushy about product or additional services. Haircut was well shaped and grew out even. Decided to review after my second appointment because service and haircut were still great! Carly is friendly and communicative but not overwhelming in conversation. But Katie is the one I trust to always make my hair (and me) look and feel beautiful! She really listens to the clients wants and needs which I've found is exceptionally rare. This is my third time going to PR at Partners. I tried other salons in the Manassas area but had not found one that I liked. I went to Yelp and found PR at Partners. The first time I went, I had Heather put in full highlights. I have been going to her ever since. She does a great job with the highlights and really takes the time to make sure that I am getting the color that I want. The only reason I marked four stars is because I do not like how the stylist stations are setup. It can be really loud some days. Otherwise, it is a great place to go. I love this place and have been going here for years! I'm never disappointed with my cuts and colors, but I'd recommend exercising some caution if you go to the spa and work with Laura. She has single-handedly made me stop using the spa services because of her extreme suggestive selling. I understand that some employees are on commission, but this lady is very, very pushy. I came in for a leg wax and she offered a discount on nail services if I got a manicure immediately after the wax. I said I needed to get back to work, so I had to decline. She kept prodding, trying to talk me out of going back to work and I kept saying I couldn't stay. Then she told me that my nails weren't going to look good for an upcoming function. Just because I decided NOT to have the manicure! She inspired me to go right next door later on and have my nails done at the local nail salon - which was half the price and excellent quality! Drove all the way out here from Alexandria at 8am only to find out that my appt had been cancelled by someone else. Apparently there was another woman with the same name who was an older customer and instead of asking if I was the same person with the common name, they just assumed I was. They texted that number to confirm the appt and of course they cancelled it. They offered to "squeeze me in" over 3 hours later but I don't want someone rushing to do my hair or even touching my hair if they can't put in an appt correctly. For the prices they charge, they should be able to put an appt in correctly. read more

The people that work here are terrible. I would never recommend to anyone. I went in earlier today thinking that I would have a positive and relaxing experience for a color. That couldn't be farther from the truth. First of all, the staff was dressed so unprofessionally. Secondly, the attitude of the stylists was not kind. There was no laughter about anything other than making fun of someone or something. One of the stylists, (Becca or Becky) made a remark to which she thought was quiet about a woman (client!!!) across the salon. The only thing I could think was what she must be saying about me. Horrible first experience! Walked out. Receptionist was rude and told me to wait in the 'spa' area when I arrived. I explained I had never been there before and asked where the spa was. She pointed to a glass door and said right there...Someone will be with you. I proceeded to the 'spa' area (which is two rooms and a hallway with two chairs) and waited for 25 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes early and waited 20 minutes in the hallway with several employees walking by but no one acknowledging me. I proceeded to get up and go back to the front desk to tell her and her only comment was 'oh she's getting your room ready' Her 'oh well' attitude and lack of attentiveness and customer service by all of the staff is simply unacceptable. Best Hair Salon Experience I've ever had! Even when I scheduled the appointment, they were very friendly over the phone, and just got a really great first impression from the start. I told them I needed to fix my colored hair that was messed up by another salon and so they scheduled me with Jenn, their hair color expert. They were very welcoming when I came into the salon, and I really appreciated Jenn going over exactly how she would fix my hair. I loved that the chairs at the hair washing stations were massage chairs.... they were so comfortable and relaxing. A few of my friends go here, so I called to see if there were any same-day appointments available, not expecting there to be any. To my surprise, the awesome receptionist gave me three times to pick from for the SAME DAY! I selected my appointment time and she asked me a few questions about what I wanted to get done and the current condition of my hair. I was scheduled to see Dani. Any time I go for color, I'm always a little nervous about the final result. Especially since Dani had never done my hair before. I was worried because my hair is super curly, it hasn't always responded well to color, and I'm in the process of going blonde. Luckily, she knew just what she was dealing with since her and I have pretty much the same texture of hair! She asked me tons of questions, asked me about my expectations for the appointment, asked about color preferences, and also made great suggestions. Dani is super sweet and friendly! She made conversation throughout the whole appointment and I felt super at ease. Can I just say, my hair has never felt as soft and healthy after having been in her hands!! My hair is actually shiny now, has movement, and it looks fantastic. She sure knows what she is doing. I will most definitely be going back to see Dani, and you should too!! :) read more

What I really didn't like is how rough the hair washing guy was. When he took the foils out of my hair it felt like he ripped some hair out and the massage was lousy. Problems that I encountered: no public listing of the prices (anywhere!) so my first visit for a partial foil and slight trim was $265, way more than I have ever paid for a partial foil and trim; service was extremely slow; no hot water coming out of the sinks; rather rude and abrasive staff (like we're bothering them....); waiting in line to be helped; and finally the highlight I received the second visit left several areas of gray uncovered. When I asked about that, the hairstylist responded that this was to be expected with a "partial foil" even though we had specifically discussed making sure all of the gray was covered. read more

I never had an experience with a stylist that made me want to keep coming back, there was always something that never clicked for me with the stylist I've been to, I never had an issue with a stylist but I never was in love with my hair after and I would just slowly stop going. Until a few weeks back when my best friend insisted I go to her girl Kayleigh. I made an appointment for a cut and color and I was scheduled for about a week later. Kayleigh was great, I loved her. She was sincerely nice and interested about me and what I wanted with my hair, I could tell she would give me her opinion about cuts and colors but wasn't going to force anything on me. I told her I just got out of a pretty long relationship and I wanted my color to be fun and edgy, but not in your face because I do work for the government. She was so excited to get started on me, and that made me excited as well. She was easy to chat with, but also didn't put off the vibe that I needed to talk. It wasn't awkward when neither of us were speaking. I left with a trim and the most beautiful all over red color that she picked out. I was in love. For the first time I was truly in love with everything,my cut, color, stylist, everything. I also love that she didn't push products on me. It's been a few weeks and I continue to get compliments. After starting a new job in Manassas, I was in need of a new salon and after the great Yelp reviews I ended up there and was not disappointed. I cannot speak highly enough of how amazing Katie Kalbach is. She is a highlight wizard and honestly the best stylist I have ever been to (which is saying a lot after years of highlights and dozens of salons). She takes the time to sit and ask you how you envision your hair looking and even went through pinterest with me so I could point out my ideal highlight "blend." Not only is she fantastic at her job, she is a genuinely nice person who makes a point to remember her clients and bits about their lives. The salon is also really nice. They offer you tea or water when you come in, the decor is very modern, staff members are extremely polite and they even give you a scalp massage when you get your hair wash which is an awesome and unexpected plus! For all of the above reasons and the quality of service/product you get for the price, I highly recommend PR at Partners and give it 5 stars. read more

Yesterday was my 3rd hair appt with Bethany. I could not be more pleased. When I was scheduling my first appointment the receptionist took time to discuss my situation with me on the phone because I asked for her advice. I had researched their designers on line and she confirmed that Bethany was the right person for my style and situation. I did wait a few weeks for my 1st appointment due to scheduling conflicts and the fact that I needed a 3 hr appt. It was worth the wait! Bethany is amazing. My hair is fine, but there is a lot of it and it has full color/highlights/you name it, I have done it to my hair. Bethany was able to give me the most beautiful highlights and low lights, as well as a beautiful cut. Suzanna is great at removing my foils and providing a relaxing wash/massage. The wash chairs are the most comfortable I have ever had in a salon. This salon is very nice, clean, and I really feel comfortable and valued as a client. I visit every 4-5 weeks on a Friday and I find it to be quiet and relaxed. A great way to end the week. I highly recommend this location. In my 3 visits, I have seen many of the designers create beautiful hairstyles on other clients. read more
