Actually, prior to today (back 2yrs @ most?), I had issues with these people, and they struck again! THIS time, here's the story... 1. There is a 2011 BMW listed for $13k on their site. 2. I emailed telling them I'm hard to reach, & let me list s/questions out. 3. Alex Turin replied stating to call him & he'll review my questions/concerns. He identified himself as one of the (or THEE?) managers. 4. I called 2 days later when I got the opportunity, & although he answered my questions, he barely took a breath. Ha...my wife sat beside me while we spoke (while HE spoke & I listened!) and said, "Man, he sure likes to talk". In o/words, a "typical", shady, fast talking salesperson. 5. One thing I told him was, I've purchased a # of cars from Florida (we live out of state), and every dealer has simply collected OUR sales tax, and we in turn show our DMV the receipt so they won't try to assess the fee again. In SC that rate is 5% or $500 max, regardless the price of a vehicle. It was no HUGE issue, but he insisted that they have to collect the FLORIDA tax of 6%, and then any refund/rebate issue is to be taken up with our people. He told me too, that the price is the price...that they search out 500 miles from them and find the same vehicle/specs and price theirs UNDER the competition. He also indicated that there is a non negotiable $675 junk/dealer fee on top of their pricing. Hey...I'm not faulting them for that...at least he was upfront, right? It's simply a number to factor in when you buy a vehicle. 6. He THEN told me, "Oh by the way...the owner's mother began using the car y'day because she was involved in an accident and chose that BMW to use. That car on their site is found here as of Monday, Feb 19, 2018: https://tinyurl.com/y7zoc6d7 7. My conversation with Alex was Friday, Feb 16th...he said he would know whether or not she wanted to keep the car for her personal vehicle by Monday @ the latest, and he would email me as to it's availability. 8. I emailed Alex back right away on Friday after our conversation (his fast talk), thanking him for his time and I looked forward to hearing from him on Monday. 9. I looked up online the "rule" or "law" as it relates to Florida dealers collecting sales tax from out of state residents and emailed him a copy/paste portion of it detailing how it's done and telling him that I wanted to confirm how I've dealt with all other auto purchases from their state in the past. I ALSO said, "Alex...I've not heard from you as to whether the owner's mother is going to keep the car for her own, or if it would still be available. I think he took offense? I'm not sure, but he said, "You'll be better off buying a car from someone else...the car is no longer available". Let me interpret..."Hey, I don't want to deal with you because you know what you're speaking about and you ask too many questions, and I don't have time for you, etc..." I replied to THAT email of his telling him he came off as very pompous and unprofessional. I told him, that of the last 14 cars I've bought, 8 of them were from his state, and I WILL be buying another car, so no...I've not been blowing smoke." I told him he must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed, but look... As of this post, the car is STILL up for sale on their site. I don't know, but could it be that Alex Turn flat out lied to me? Please read the other reviews of this "outfit", because they certainly don't deal with people very well, and with SOME of the comments, (and Alex lying to me?), there seems to be an ethics issue at the heart of the matter. No matter how sweet the deal, poor ethics can't make up for it! STEER CLEAR and search elsewhere. After my email to him just an hour or so ago, I logged on to their site to chat with whomever was on the other end, telling them that I had emailed Alex, and was going to review their company AND Alex about his UNprofessional behavior. read more

In February 2012, we Purchased a 2003 Black BMW X5 SUV). We gave $8k down payment ($4k at signing, $4k prior to picking up vehicle). We signed all papers associated with purchase & dealership provided us with a document stating that our contract had been assigned to Westlake Financial Services. The document contained information on monthly payments; how much, where and when to start sending payments. The dealership was not able to give us the vehicle when we gave them the initial $4K because, according to them, they needed to send the car to be certified to BMW before the lender was able to approve loan. A few weeks went by and we called the dealership on several occasions since we did not hear from them regarding the vehicle; on several occasions Willie (manager) informed us that the car was not ready because they were still waiting on the BMW certification. We picked up the car once they told us everything was completed and we were approved by the lender. As instructed by them & the documentation they provided us, we began making our monthly payments of $506.77. After sending the first 4 monthly payments to lender, they sent us a check back for all 4 months. We then contacted Westlake to see why we received the check. They told us we did not have a loan with them. We never received a denial letter from them either. We immediately contacted Dealer to see what was going on and spoke to Henry (finance dept). He apologized & told me not to worry. He asked me to be patient and wait. He stated that the bank needed the certification from BMW in order to approve the loan & that they were working on it. We agreed that he would contact us once they cleared everything. After not hearing from anybody, we went to the dealership to see what was going on. We asked for Henry & Willie but they were both tied up. After waiting for a while in their showroom, we approached Willie and insisted that he would tell us what was going on. He brushed us off, reminded us he was busy, & told us that he was still waiting for the BMW certification to be provided to the lender & that he would contact us once everything was completed. While the vehicle was in our possession, it broke down pretty frequently leading us to believe that the car was not a certifiable car as the dealership suggested when they sold it to us and that the car's mileage had been tampered with; a car with 60K miles should not be having the mechanical issues we have had with the car. As a result we ended up spending a considerable amount of money in repairs (front CV Joints, alternator, fuel injectors). Also found that the car had been in a bad accident and the rear frame of the car was bent (dealership never disclosed this information). We didn't hear back from the dealership until July 10th 2013 when the new manager, Rame Caraguai, finally contacted us and said he finally had everything ready. We asked him to meet with us in our office later that afternoon. He brought an unsigned new contract along with an approval from Westlake Financial Services from an application they had just submitted on July 1st, 2013. Nobody ever contacted me to inform me that my credit was going to be ran again or asking me for approval to run my credit again 1 1/2 years after I applied for the loan. We refused to sign since the terms of the contract were not the same as we previously signed, and the contract only showed a down payment of $7K instead of the $8K we gave them. The manager gave us an ultimatum as he formed a scene and yelled at us in the middle of our workplace. He threatened that he would repossess the care if we did not sign the new contract. We told him we were willing to return them the car if they gave us the $8K down payment we gave them since we did not agree on the new terms of the sale, and since we felt like they misled us by knowingly selling us a car that had a lot of mechanical issues while all along telling us that it was a BMW certified vehicle. Needless to say, we would not recommend them to our worst enemy... we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the Florida Dept. of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles... will expose them through every social media avenue possible so that they do not continue to do business this way... and of course, we have begun steps to file suit. read more

I have been looking for weeks for a certain vehicle. I saw that Prado had one listed on both their website, and on Craigslist. Since their website said "By Appointment Only," I immediately went online and asked for an appointment to see the car the next day. I received a phone call within a couple of hours confirming my appointment. The next day, before leaving my house for the appointment, I checked both their website and Craigslist and saw that the vehicle was still being advertised. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that they had sold the vehicle last night. Now I understand that these things happen, but since they had my phone number they could have called me and let me know. Instead, I drove the 45 minutes to their location expecting to see the vehicle. What a waste of time. And the worse part? They never apologized for not calling me, nor for my inconvenience. After my 45 minute drive home, I checked and it's still listed as available and in stock on both their website and Craigslist. Obviously these folks aren't too skilled at customer service. Let me start off by saying, if i could give Prado Auto sales a lower rating i would. When visiting the dealer, i saw the car i wanted( Mazda 6 2015) and loved it, only to be met with a handful of issues that the people of Prado tried to hide from their unaware customer. I met with George Piedra( Manager of Prado auto sales) personally at my initial viewing of the vehicle. I test drove the car on two occasions, once on the turnpike, and another within closer proximity of their dealer. The car drove great and I was ready to make a deal. once i made the deal, i was hit with one of Mr. Piedra's famous lines, " here not only did you leave with a car but also with a friend" ( Piedra, 2017). Once i left, things really began to go down hill. As i drove the car the following day, a howling and grinding noise progressively became more and more pronounced throughout both my front and rear tires. My first reaction was to call Mr. Piedra who i confined in, due to his fake "customer always comes first" personality, that to my dismay i fell for. He assured me that EVERYTHING was going to be taken care of, that my warranty which i guess he forgot to go over, would cover any wheel bearing issue i have. Unknowingly i fell for this and was sent to his personal mechanic. At the mechanic, the people i dealt with were very caring but misdiagnosed my car. They told me the rear wheel bearings were the issue, eventually doing the change which was covered by ally. Once i received the car, the same noise persisted. I was told it was my tires and needed new ones. Upon buying two new tires ,which cost me 300 dollars, the grinding and howling noise stayed persistent , so i went back to the mechanic and was told that the brand new tires that i bought were not of good quality and that's why the noise stayed consistent. It didn't make any sense to me so i got a second opinion from Ocean Mazda. At ocean Mazda, i went a few days without a car. During those days i called George( the manager who has not handed my father and I the title, after paying vehicle fully) to make sure everything was going to be covered, and asked him if the front wheel bearings were going to be covered. George's response was yes, also explaining that all the paper work was present while calling me "kiddo" a few times, which was a clear response of unprofessionalism( you don't call a grown adult kiddo). I was charged a 120 dollar diagnostic and was told that there were clear indications of a faulty wheel bearing (cost 409), and i should call the dealer( Prado) because Ally, Prado's extended warranty that only covers select parts, does not cover my front Wheel bearings. Right after hearing this i called George. --- **IMPORTANT PART BELOW**---- Upon calling George, my phone call with him was extremely counterintuitive. Here George Rambled on explaining that he can't do anything about the issues my car was having, and that his hands were tied after he initially told me everything was going to be taken care of. This is where Prado's true colors showed. Through their manager George, i got a glimpse of what this dealer was. George who promised me friendship, promised me straight business, and customer satisfaction so willingly lied to my face. George who sat their and told me EVERYTHING was going to be taken care of deceived me. After asking for his last name George's response was "do what you need to do" which was clearly his last hoorah for leaving me with a 409 dollar payment on a pre-existing faulty wheel bearing condition. To finalize my rant of this terrible dealer. Prado auto sales has completely failed me. I was turned down, lied to, and given a faulty car with pre-existing conditions. I advise you, to do your research before arriving to this dealer. Put one star because I couldn't put zero. This place has to be the most shady car dealership I have ever been to. They will say anything to get you in. Whatever they say the cars price is you can usually expect them to raise the price a few thousand once you get in the finance "office". The guy working at finance has to be the biggest joke when confronted about raising the price or disagreeing about something he became irate and started yelling. He was upset that he wasn't going to be able to screw me. And as we were leaving him and one of his little coworkers tried to start a fight. Not sure how this place runs. Maybe they are laundering money from a drug business or something. But to believe that someone actually buys a car there with the amount of lies and half truths they told is beyond me. I can only speak from my experience (poor one) I had recently. I looked around their lot and began to ask questions regarding one car in particular. He gave me the history which according to him was clean. Everything seemed like it was going well. He offered decent financing (although it seemed to good to be true). After asking for the carfax (which he never brought) I decided to go write down the cars VIN number. Used autocheck.com (bought a month trial earlier) and it turn out this car had some major problems, meaning several accidents. Clearly the seller mislead me and was extremely dishonest when he said the car "was perfectly clean, had a good history." This of course ruined my trust of the seller-- hope they are not misleading others and it was an honest mistake. He apologized and acknowledged he messed up. Just thought I would share my story with the public. Again, they are nice people and i am sure they have good deals. However, I hope they don't continue to do this kind of thing with others. I've been looking to trade my car in sometime. I purchased a car that I didn't even know was a jacked up title. I was deceived and taken advantage of as a customer. I decided to trade my car in and it's like every dealership would not give me the time of day due to the status of my car which was a rebuilt title. Carmax, Miami Car Credit, Hollywood Jeep etc. I wanted to give up hope but I kept looking. I researched Prado Auto Sales and saw their reviewed were pretty good so I went up to the dealership myself just to see if I could get into something. I just wanted to get out my car. It for to the point I didn't care what it was I was just upset that this happened to me. When I arrived inside of the dealership I was greeted by Alex who was very friendly and professional. I told him my issue and he made it his business to find me something. He wasn't like any of the other sales guys from the previous dealership. They really were worried about who much can you put down. Not Alex. I told Alex my concerns and he assured he would get me into a car that day. At first I didn't believe him due to my previous experience. My facial expression was not all that friendly. Alex took all my information and he told me he will see what he can do with a nice and warm smile. So I smiled back and he told me it would be ok. I walked outside just to view their inventory for a while and to get some fresh air. Later Alex told me to come in and sit. My mind is telling me oh lord, here comes the bad news. And to my surprises he pulled it off. I drove off the lot with a 2016 Jeep and with a great monthly payment. I was very very happy and grateful that this individual dedicated his time and effort to make something I thought was impossible come true. Thanks Alex you are a life saver.
